  am passing a List as a JRBeanCollectionDataSource to a Subreport. here Object is of Type A and B. A is having properties 'name' and 'address' and B is having property 'location'. if Object is of type A then i have display 'name' and 'address' in subreport. and if is of type B then i have to diaplay 'location' in subreport. i have to access a type of Object in a subreport, means is of which type (A or B)?. i have tried a lot but not found any solution. can anyone help me please. thanks in advance.

• How to limit data to users who own it without limiting admin users in CakePHP?

  Currently I am writing an application where I have multiple users. They have data that should only be visible to them and not the other authenticated users in the system. I also have administrators who manage the system and have access to all of the information. What is the best way to limit users to their data without limiting admin users? Currently I am using a callback to limit the queries by user, but the admin will get the same limits. So I need to know a better way to do it. More importantly, the right way to do it. For example, I want the standard user to be able to see their user information only and be limited to CRUD operations on their information only. The admin, however, should be able to see ALL users and CRUD ALL user data. Any ideas?

• how to get memory dump after blue screen

  I'm getting a lovely BSOD on bootup (STOP: 0x0000007E) from a driver I'm writing, and would like to load up the memory dump for analysis. However, it's not getting dumped anywhere. Everything is setup correctly in the Startup and Recovery settings, but I get no dump file, and nothing in the event log stating a dump has taken place. It looks like a dump is not even occurring... I know the exact line of code causing it (a call to IoAttachDevice()), but am not sure why, and would like to view the DbgPrint output to see where exactly it's failing. Could Windows possibly be crashing before the dumping functionality is set up? If so, how do I get access to the state of the machine when the failure occurs? UPDATE: Other possibly useful information: I'm running Windows XP through VirtualBox on a Linux host.

• Regular Expression to return the contents of a HTML tag received as a string of text

  I have a string in my code that I receive that contains some html tags. It is not part of the HTML page being displayed so I cannot grab the html tag contents using the DOM (i.e. document.getElementById('tag id').firstChild.data); So, for example within the string of text would appear a tag like this: 12 My question is how would I use a regular expression to access the '12' numeric digit in this example? This quantity could be any number of digits (i.e. it is not always a double digit). I have tried some regular expressions, but always end up getting the full span tag returned along with the contents. I only want the '12' in the example above, not the surrounding tag. The id of the tags will always be 'myQty' in the string of text I receive. Thanks in advance for any help!

  Hi, I have been trying to access the pygame website for a few weeks now, and I can't get to it. I doubt it's down, so I have to conclude that it's blocked because I am in China. I have no idea why. Anyways, I want the pygame documentation, but all the download links I fond lead back to pygame.org (which I does not even begin loading, it's such a politically subversive website you know!). Can anyone tell me where I can get documentation and other pygame resources without going through pygame.org? I would really appreciate it, thanks. PS I am on windows XP, if it matters.

• Change of domain deleted data in Team Foundation Server?

  Dear All, Maybe my google-fu is failing me, but I cannot seem to find any information on the following: My Windows user account was recently moved, accidentally, to another domain in my company's Active Directory. While in the other domain, I was unable to access my data stored in TFS 2008 (e.g. shelvesets, pending changes, workspaces, etc). I assume this was because it was associated with my ORIGINALDOMAIN\userId account, rather than NEWDOMAIN\userID account. My account has now been moved back to ORIGINALDOMAIN, however I still cannot see any of my data in TFS. In fact, it appears that all of my data (all my shelvesets!) have been deleted. It is almost as if TFS saw that my userId had disappeared from ORIGINALDOMAIN and assumed that I had been "deleted" and thus deleted all my data. Has anybody else encountered this? Is there hope for my data or am I royally stuffed? Thanks in advance, Steve

• Is it a good idea to keep documentation in the VCS?

  At work we just moved to Mercurial for our VCS from SVN. In SVN we used to have a "docs" folder next to "trunk", in "docs" we would keep all our file documentation, client files, diagrams, mockups, etc. (we use a wiki(Redmine) for internal documentation). Now in a DVCS enviroment we don't need a "trunk" folder, so we drop the code at the root of the repo, and now having a "docs" folder inside the repo feels weird being at the same level that the code. This has taken me to reconsider if it is a good idea to keep those files in the VCS, we have a "documents" section in Redmine, but I have never used it because it is a pain to have to download a file each time I want to open it and I can't access the file when I'm offline. What best practices have you guys found to manage these kind of non-code files?

• Longish list of allowed referrers

  I want to allow hotlinking only from a list of referrers (paying customers, probably a few hundred). I am on Apache 1.3 and I do not have access to the configuration (only .htaccess). What is the fastest way to implement this? My thoughts so far: PHP with database and readfile() (SSI with) Perl and database the list implemented as symlinks named after the allower referrer, then RewriteCond using HTTP_REFERER everything in .htaccess, lots of RewriteCond's everything in .htaccess, lots of SetEnvIf's Any better (faster) ways to do this? • Using virtual fields in Doctrine_Query

  Is there a way to insert logic based on virtual fields into a Doctrine_Query? I have defined a virtual field in my model, "getStatus()" which I would ultimately like to utilize in a Where clause in my Doctrine_Query. ... ->AndWhere('x.status = ?',$status); "status", however, is not a column in the table it is instead computed by business logic in the model. Filtering the Collection after executing the query works in some situations, but not when a Doctrine_Pager is thrown in the mix, as it computes it's offsets and such before you have access to the Collection. Am I best off ditching Doctrine_Pager and rebuilding that functionality after modifying the Doctrine_Collection?

  I have a development website running on my local machine, I can access it locally by typing the address http://mycomputer.mynetwork.local/myapp/default.aspx however when anybody else tries to browse to it they get an error: Server Error in '/' Application. The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. I'm using IIS7, ASP.NET 3.5 and the application is pre-compiled. Any hints?

• Shared WCF client code between .NET and Silverlight apps?

  I'm developing a .NET application that will have both a WinForms and a Silverlight client. Although the majority of code will be in the server, I'll need to have quite a bit of logic in the clients as well, and I would like to keep the client library code the same. From what I could figure out so far, I need to have two different project types, a class library and a Silverlight class library, and link the files from one project to the other. This seems kind of lame, but it works for simple code. My problem, though, is that the code generated by the SVCUtil.exe to access WCF services is different from the code generated by the slsvcutil.exe, and the silverlight code is actually incompatible with the .NET one: I get a bunch of problems with the System.ServiceModel.Channel classes when I try to import the class into .NET. Has anybody done anything similar to this before? What am I doing wrong?

• EJB injection in Glassfish webapp

  I've got an app that is trying to use @EJB annotation to inject remote references to EJBs in my ejb.jar file. I'm getting inconsistent results. In one case, I have a listener in web.xml that gets called and apparently has the EJB injected correctly, since I can see it connecting to the EJB and calling methods on it. In another class (a struts2 action) I get NPE when it tries to access the EJB reference. As far as I can tell, they're identical calls, in Java classes that live in the same .war file. As a work around, I added code in the constructor to lookup the EJBs by their global JNDI names, and it works fine. I just can't figure out why one @EJB works and not another.

  In my site I have class A which selects the required page module (blog,content,gallery etc). I also have class B which provides sqlclient database objects and sql statements. If I use class B in a web form via "Imports Class B". I am able to access the contents. I now would like to use class B within class A but am struggling to find the correct syntax for importing it. Please can someone give me a basic example. We are coming from a classic asp background, and used to simply use includes. We are using VB Thanks.

Reference counting is expensive – it needs action every time a reference changes and it doesn’t spot cyclical structures, but it can reclaim space incrementally. Tracing involves identifying live objects only when you need to reclaim space – moving the cost from general access to the time at which the GC runs, typically only when you are out of memory. • Sending a 'copy' command in cocoa

  Is there any way to send a copy (command-c) instruction without using a cgEvent to mimic the keystrokes? I don't have access to the text field in the application I want to take text from, so need to replicate manually copying to the clipboard, and there seemss to be a bug with cgevent posting. According the Quartz documentation, to type a capital Z I should use: CGEventRef event1, event2, event3, event4; event1 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)56, true); event2 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)6, true); event3 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)6, false); event4 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)56, false); However, if I attach this set of instuctions to an NSTimer, it only works the first time it is fired. example output: ZzzZzzzzZZzzZ (vs expected ZZZZZZZZZ). • MySQL hangs if connection comes from outside the LAN

  I have a MySQL Server operating just fine if I access him from his local LAN (192.168.100.0/24). If I try to access hin from another LAN (192.168.113.0/24 in this case) it hangs for a really long time before delivering the result. SHOW PROCESSLIST; shows this process in Sleep, State empty. • Image not loading onto JPanel?

  I have been trying to figure out how to add an image to a JPanel as a background, but still have complete control over the placing of JButtons, JLabels, and etc. This is one method I found, but it is crashing and not loading the image or buttons.
