  • AutoCompleteExtender not working for WebService hosted on IIS 7

    I have a web service file in my project having a web method which is used for AutoCompleteExtender and which works fine when I debug it from VS. But when I publish and host it on IIS, it's not working properly. However, I tested the webservice method directly by typing the URL and it gave the desired output. Is their a special setting needs to be done in IIS to make it working or any property of AutoCompleteExtender need to be set?

  • PHP Sockets Not Working

    Hi, I switched from Lighttpd server to WAMP and then found sockets in php are not working. But php is configured and working. (phpinfo() works) I removed the comment for the php_sockets.dll in php.ini @ C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5.but still gives the error "Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create()". Any more configurations to do to enable sockets in php in WAMP? (php_sockets.dll is there as well, I've checked) Thank You!

    This is wierd, but all of a sudden the `ExpectedExceptionAttribute' quit working for me the other day. Not sure what's gone wrong. I'm running VS 2010 and VS 2005 side-by-side. It's not working in VS 2010.     Hello, I migrated my application to a new server (from a VPS to a dedicated) yesterday and the password protection which was working correctly on the previous server (using .htaccess file - asking username/pass) doesn't work anymore : anyone can access the website without being asked to enter a username pass. I don't really have a clue why it's not working anymore as I kept everything the same.

    As my server is not upgreaded to php 5.3 (it is in PHP Version 5.2.11) date_sub is not working. here is the code: $date = date_create(date('Y-m-d')); date_sub($date, date_interval_create_from_date_string('60 days')); $date1= date_format($date, 'Y-m-d'); but its ok in my localhost(which is in 5.3), but not in server(5.2.11). Can you please tell me how can i make this date subtraction working on 5.2.11 ?

    I've got an application that has a bug right now, but we're unable to update the end-user to get the fix out. What a possible workaround would be is to change the working directory to the application's install directory, but from what I can tell, there's no way to do that outside of the program itself. Is there some sort of Windows API call that can change other processes' working directories, or is that not available due to security issues? I figure it's not possible.
