  • How to wire a verifier to a 2.0m5 Restlet using the spring extension and an xml config?

    I can't seem to find any example of how to do this. Imperatively in java it would be a piece of cake of course, but I can't seem to figure out how to inject my JaasVerifier into my SpringComponent declaratively from within the xml. It appears from the method signatures that Verifier is designed to be attached to Context, but the instance of Context itself is created as a side effect of the SpringComponent creation so I can't get a hold of it in Spring. There must be something I am missing.

    Hi, I'm trying to get my wrapper to hold my content but it won't. I've taken out the floats and added "overflow: visible" no no avail.   • Objects With No Behavior

    I've been teaching myself object oriented programming and I'm thinking about a situation where I have an object "Transaction", that has quite a few properties to it like account, amount, date, currency, type, etc. I never plan to mutate these data points, and calculation logic will live in other classes. My question is, is it poor Python design to instantiate thousands of objects just to hold data? I find the data far easier to work with embedded in a class rather than trying to cram it into some combination of data structures.

The fql which is happening at the web is giving me right results but the fql happening at the iphone is not giving all the results. select name, pic_square, pic_big, uid, sex, birthday, relationship_status , current_location, meeting_sex, interests, music, tv, movies, books, quotes, education_history, work_history from user where uid = XXXXXXX is giving me different result in web when compared to the iphone.     I usually add the clear form button to HTML forms by default, but tonight I had what alcholics call a "moment of clarity". Why the hell do we add this? In all my years of using the internet I have never gotten to the end of the form and thought "crap!, I screwed up, I need to reset this!". Is this button actually necessary or a hold over from another time?

  • Android library to get pitch from WAV file

    I have a list of sampled data from the WAV file. I would like to pass in these values into a library and get the frequency of the music played in the WAV file. For now, I will have 1 frequency in the WAV file and I would like to find a library that is compatible with Android. I understand that I need to use FFT to get the frequency domain. Is there any good libraries for that? I found that [KissFFT][1] is quite popular but I am not very sure how compatible it is on Android. Is there an easier and good library that can perform the task I want? EDIT: I tried to use JTransforms to get the FFT of the WAV file but always failed at getting the correct frequency of the file. Currently, the WAV file contains sine curve of 440Hz, music note A4. However, I got the result as 441. Then I tried to get the frequency of G4, I got the result as 882Hz which is incorrect. The frequency of G4 is supposed to be 783Hz. Could it be due to not enough samples?     I have what I would consider a small sized iPhone app that uses SQLite. There is a singleton domain object which gets data from a SQLite database. Is it better to create and open the SQLite connection for each request, or to open the DB once and hold on to it for the duration of the app. The app's reason for being is the domain object so other objects will not need the DB.

    I keep getting the following error when installing Ruby 1.9.3-p125: It seems your ruby installation is missing psych (for YAML output). To eliminate this warning, please install libyaml and reinstall your ruby. I've tried installing LibYAML and for some reason it's installing in my home directory on OS X Lion where the Documents, Music, Pictures, etc. folders are. Any idea how I can get rid of this error, properly install YAML and never have to deal with this again?

    I figured out 2 different meanings for virtual based on the situation it is being used. If a baseClass has a function defined virtual, then the derivedClass is going to override the function. The baseClass::~baseClass() should be defined virtual, if there is any class derived from it. Here it means, the derived class destruction first takes place followed by base class destruction. Are there any other situations where virtual hold a different meaning ?
