  • Google crawling the site but refusing to index dynamic content

    I am trying to get Google to index an AJAX site (davidelifestyle.com). It's crawlable with JavaScript turned off and I have also recently implemented _escaped_content_ snapshot mechanism but all that's indexed is a home page and PDF files that are not directly available from the home page. Also when I use Fetch as Google in Webmaster Tools, it downloads the dynamic page but does not index it ("Submit to Index" just reloads the page). Any ideas what might be wrong?

  • Looking for a disk manager that has options for setting allocation sizes in paritions

    I'm looking for a GUI program that is compatible with Ubuntu 13.10 - Server X86-64 that has all the features of Gparted but also allows for setting custom allocation sizes when creating a partition. Eg: Ability to create a 4gb Fat32 parition with 32 kilobyte allocation size. Please don't suggest a terminal only application, no matter how awesome it might be, because that's not what I asked. Wow, I come off like a right up prick when I write, eh?

  • keeping connection open all time in sql

    I have developed a Windows application in c# in which multiple users can add some numbers and their name and can view the data entered. The problem that I have is that the sever is on my laptop and every time I log off or close my laptop, they are losing connection to the DB and can not add or view any more. It seems that the port is closed or something. Is there a way to keep the port and their connection established all the time even when I'm logging out?

    I am trying to run eve off the latest version of wine. It was running just fine yesterday, now I go to start it and it tells me that I need shader model version 3.0.   • How to automatically switch monitors with my laptop dock

    I have a Dell Precision M4300 with a Dell Dock PRO1X running Ubuntu Natty. When I have the laptop docked the lcd display is off and I use two external monitors however when I undock the laptop it does not switch to the laptop screen. The same happens when I dock the laptop, it does not switch to the external monitors. If I reboot the laptop it will choose the correct setup but it will not automatically change monitors with Ubuntu running. My Xorg.conf

  • Why can't my pc and iPhone find each other via Bluetooth?

    I've got Bluetooth enabled on both the computer and the iPhone, and both devices can see my Bluetooth headset so this confirms that Bluetooth itself works. But when I let either device look for other devices, they find nothing (when the headset is off). I'm using 11.10 with all the latest updates. I have not installed any special or additional Bluetooth software; only whatever Ubuntu provides by default.

    I own a HP probook 4530s. I installed ubuntu 12.04 along side my windows 7 professional OS. While in window 7 everything works properly in terms of wire and wireless connection. On Ubuntu 12.04 my wired connection doesn't work at all and wireless connection works only when I check off enable wireless then recheck enable wireless. When I recheck enable wireless, the wireless connection only works for about 30 seconds then it goes offline again.

    i have tried to look up many ways to sync up my wiimotes to my computer so that i can program games with it, but every time it only syncs them up temporarily, or if it says it can permanently sync it, it doesn't actually do it. it gets tiresome when i have to keep on reconnecting it every time i want to save battery life. how would i be able to sync up my wiimote to my computer so that if i turn off my wiimote, i can just hit any button and it will automatically sync it up?

    I'm using a CUPS printer and trying to set the default options for the printer using /etc/cups/ppd and /etc/cups/printers.conf but I don't see a complete list of available options. Currently I'm trying Option page-top 2 Option page-bottom 2 Option scaling 95 My end goal is getting the printer to stop cutting off the top and bottom page content. I would like to automatically scale the content to fit on the page size being used (default "letter") if possible and if not, resume printing on another page without removing any of the content.

Here we look at copying movie files to individual folders. If you already have a large movie collection stored in a single folder, we’ll show you how to quickly move those files into their own individually named folders. File2Folder FIle2folder is a handy portable app that automatically creates and moves movie files into a folder of the same filename. There is no installation needed. Simply download and run the .exe file (link below). Enter the current movie directory, or browse for the folder. File2folder now supports both local and network shares. When you are ready to create the folders and move the files, click Move! You’ll see the move progress displayed in the window. When the process is finished, you’ll have all your movie file in individual folders.   Change your mind? Just click the Undo! button…   …and the move and folder creation process will be undone. If you would like to have the folder monitored for new files, click the Start button. File2folder will process any new files it discovers every 180 seconds. To turn it off, click Stop.
