  • INDY WebService over SSL contains link with HTTP protocol instead of HTTPS in WSDL

    When creating new SOAP WebService server project using Delphi XE2 the wizard allows to set change port and HTTPS properties. Port is set to 443, HTTPS flag is checked, but when trying to connect to created server it returns incorrect transport (HTTP instead of HTTPS) in WSDL and generates HTTP links on the Service Info Page. The auto-generated page is not so important, but wrong information in WSDL file is a problem. I've never really used XSD schemas before, so I'd really appreciate it if someone could point out where I'm going wrong.

  • Ado.Net Entity produces "namespace cannot be found"

    I've seen several possible solutions to this, but none have worked for me. After adding a ADO.NET Entity Data Model to my .Net Forms C# web project, I am unable to use it. Perhaps I made a mistake adding it? The name of the file added is QcFormData.edmx. In my code, perhaps I'm instantiating it incorrectly? I tried adding the line: QcFormDataContainer db = new QcFormDataContainer(); It appears in Intellisense, but when compiling I get the error : Error 13 The type or namespace name 'QcFormDataContainer' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) I've followed the suggestions that I found online that did not help: 1) made sure there is "using System.Data.Entity" 2) made sure the dll exists. 3) made sure the reference exists. 4) one post said use using System.Web.Data.Entity; but I do not see that available. What am I missing?   • Fluent NHibermate and Polymorphism and a Newbie!

    I'm a fluent nhibernate newbie and I'm struggling mapping a hierarchy of polymorhophic objects. I've produced the following Model that recreates the essence of what I'm doing in my real application. I have a ProductList and several specialised type of products; public class MyProductList { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Name {get;set;} public virtual IList<Product> Products { get; set; } public MyProductList() { Products = new List<Product>(); } } public class Product { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string ProductDescription {get;set;} } public class SizedProduct : Product { public virtual decimal Size {get;set;} } public class BundleProduct : Product { public virtual Product BundleItem1 {get;set;} public virtual Product BundleItem2 {get;set;} } Note that I have a specialised type of Product called BundleProduct that has two products attached. I can add any of the specialised types of product to MyProductList and a bundle Product can be made up of any of the specialised types of product too. Here is the fluent nhibernate mapping that I'm using; public class MyListMap : ClassMap<MyList> { public MyListMap() { Id(ml => ml.Id); Map(ml => ml.Name); HasManyToMany(ml => ml.Products).Cascade.All(); } } public class ProductMap : ClassMap<Product> { public ProductMap() { Id(prod => prod.Id); Map(prod => prod.ProductDescription); } } public class SizedProductMap : SubclassMap<SizedProduct> { public SizedProductMap() { Map(sp => sp.Size); } } public class BundleProductMap : SubclassMap<BundleProduct> { public BundleProductMap() { References(bp => bp.BundleItem1).Cascade.All(); References(bp => bp.BundleItem2).Cascade.All(); } } I haven't configured have any reverse mappings, so a product doesn't know which Lists it belongs to or which bundles it is part of. Next I add some products to my list; MyList ml = new MyList() { Name = "Example" }; ml.Products.Add(new Product() { ProductDescription = "PSU" }); ml.Products.Add(new SizedProduct() { ProductDescription = "Extension Cable", Size = 2.0M }); ml.Products.Add(new BundleProduct() { ProductDescription = "Fan & Cable", BundleItem1 = new Product() { ProductDescription = "Fan Power Cable" }, BundleItem2 = new SizedProduct() { ProductDescription = "80mm Fan", Size = 80M } }); When I persist my list to the database and reload it, the list itself contains the items I expect ie MyList[0] has a type of Product, MyList[1] has a type of SizedProduct, and MyList[2] has a type of BundleProduct - great! If I navigate to the BundleProduct, I'm not able to see the types of Product attached to the BundleItem1 or BundleItem2 instead they are always proxies to the Product - in this example BundleItem2 should be a SizedProduct. Is there anything I can do to resove this either in my model or the mapping? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Is there a Generic USB TouchScreen Driver 12.04? Device 03eb:201c I've been looking for 4 days solid (not very skilled) and can't find a solution. I have a generic tablet: C97- Atom N2600 9.7" 2GB 32GB Bluetooth WiFi WebCam Ext.3G Windows 7 Tablet PC Using 12.04 and cannot find a driver. I installed android and the touchscreen works but still lots of other bugs. Oh well, stuck with Windows 7 and not happy about it. Will keep trying, but too much time wasted already.     I am writing a rules/eligibility Module. I have 2 sets of data, one is the customer data and the other is the customer products data. Customer data to Customer products data is one to many. Now I have to go through a set of Eligibility rules for each of this Customer product data. For each customer products data, I can say the customer is eligible for that product or decline the eligibility and should move on to the next product record. So in all the rules, I need to have access to customer and customer product data(the particular record that the rules are being executed against). Since all the rules can either approve a product or decline a product, I created an interface with those 2 methods and is implementing the this interface for all the rules. I am passing the Customer data and one product data for all the rules (because rules should be executed on each row of customer product data). An Ideal situation would be having the customer and customer product data available for the rule instead of passing them to each rule. What is the best way of doing this in-terms of architecture?

    I have a Cisco ASA 5505 connecting to an Active Directory server for VPN authentication. Usually we'd restrict this to a particular OU, but in this case users which need access are spread across multiple OUs. So, I'd like to use a group to specify which users have remote access. I've created the group and added the users, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to deny users which aren't in that group. Right now, if someone connects they get assigned the correct group policy "companynamera" if they are in that group, so the LDAP mapping is working. However, users who are not in that group still authenticate fine, and their group policy becomes the LDAP path of their first group, i.e. CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=example,DC=com, and then are still allowed access. How do I add a filter so that I can map everything that isn't "companynamera" to no access?     I've been preparing to give a presentation on SQL Server for a while now, and a topic that was recommended was SQL Server functions.  More specifically, the lesser-known functions (like @@OPTIONS), and maybe some interesting ways to use well-known functions (like using PARSENAME to split IP addresses)  I think this is a veritable goldmine of useful information, and researching for the presentation has confirmed that beyond my initial expectations.I even found a few undocumented/underdocumented functions, so for the first official article in this series I thought I'd start with 2 of each, COLLATIONPROPERTY() and COLLATIONPROPERTYFROMID().COLLATIONPROPERTY() provides information about (wait for it) collations, SQL Server's method for handling foreign character sets, sort orders, and case- or accent-sensitivity when sorting character data.  The Books Online entry for  COLLATIONPROPERTY() lists 4 options for code page, locale ID, comparison style and version.  Used in conjunction with fn_helpcollations():SELECT *, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'LCID') LCID, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'CodePage') CodePage, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'ComparisonStyle') ComparisonStyle, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'Version') Version FROM fn_helpcollations()You can get some excellent information. (c'mon, be honest, did you even know about fn_helpcollations?)Collations in SQL Server have a unique name and ID, and you'll see one or both in various system tables or views like syscolumns, sys.columns, and INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS.  Unfortunately they only link the ID and name for collations of existing columns, so if you wanted to know the collation ID of Albanian_CI_AI_WS, you'd have to declare a column with that collation and query the system table.While poking around the OBJECT_DEFINITION() of sys.columns I found a reference to COLLATIONPROPERTYFROMID(), and the unknown property "Name".  Not surprisingly, this is how sys.columns finds the name of the collation, based on the ID stored in the system tables.  (Check yourself if you don't believe me)Somewhat surprisingly, the "Name" property also works for COLLATIONPROPERTY(), although you'd already know the name at that point.  Some wild guesses and tests revealed that "CollationID" is also a valid property for both functions, so now:SELECT *, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'LCID') LCID, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'CodePage') CodePage, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'ComparisonStyle') ComparisonStyle, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'Version') Version, COLLATIONPROPERTY(name,'CollationID') CollationID FROM fn_helpcollations() Will get you the collation ID-name link you…probably didn't know or care about, but if you ever get on Jeopardy! and this question comes up, feel free to send some of your winnings my way. :)And last but not least, COLLATIONPROPERTYFROMID() uses the same properties as COLLATIONPROPERTY(), so you can use either one depending on which value you have available.Keep an eye out for Part 2!

I would retain the right of usage and he would pay the bill for maintaining the name. This sounds fishy, but I can't figure out what he hopes to gain if this is a scam. Is this a common practice among 'Administrative Contacts'?

  • How to move a website and domain name without experiencing downtime for emails or site?

    Okay, I have a pretty complex problem, so I'll get right to it. I'm a designer who built a new website for my client. Their old site is hosted at GoDaddy, as well as their email. Problem is, the guy who built the original site decided to put the original domain name and hosting under HIS personal GoDaddy account. Well, that turned out to be a bad move for several reasons. Here's how it's all tied together. The original domain name, www.domainoriginal.com, was actually purchased at Network Solutions. The original web designer pointed the nameservers from Network Solutions to his GoDaddy account, where the email and hosting is setup. The new domain name, www.domainnew.com, was purchased under a new and separate GoDaddy account belonging to the company, and the new website was built under a 3rd party platform (Big Commerce). So, the www.domainnew.com is already pointed to the new website using A records at new GoDaddy account. All is fine there. However, they still need www.domainoriginal.com to point to the NEW website as well. (The old one can simply be deleted, it is NOT important). AND, they want to keep their old email addresses intact and working as well, but under the NEW GoDaddy account. Obviously, I have no DNS control at Network Solutions, and I have no idea what kind of control I have at GoDaddy under the old account because the web designer will not let me see inside his account. But, he and GoDaddy both tell me nothing can be done other than to repoint the nameservers to Network Solutions, and then repoint the A record to my new website, www.domainnew.com, and point the MX Records to GoDaddy. I'm told the downtime would be 24-48 hours if I do this. Ideally, we'd like to do a domain name transfer and get www.domainoriginal.com in the new GoDaddy account created by the company. But, I'm told this could take up to 7 days. Does this mean the site and email will be down for 7 days? And any emails sent during this time, would they be lost forever? If I do this, how long could I expect the site and email to go down? And, will the emails be permanently lost? I've gotten different answers from everybody at GoDaddy so I kind of don't trust them anymore... Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Tyson

    I have the following domain set up for persistence with NHibernate: I am using the PaperConfiguration as the root aggregate. I want to select all PaperConfiguration objects for a given Tier and AcademicYearConfiguration. This works really well as per the following example: ICriteria criteria = session.CreateCriteria<PaperConfiguration>() .Add(Restrictions.Eq("AcademicYearConfiguration", configuration)) .CreateCriteria("Paper") .CreateCriteria("Unit") .CreateCriteria("Tier") .Add(Restrictions.Eq("Id", tier.Id)) return criteria.List<PaperConfiguration>(); (Perhaps there is a better way of doing this though). Yet also need to know how many ReferenceMaterials there are for each PaperConfiguration and I would like to get it in the same call. Avoid HQL - I already have an HQL solution for it. I know this is what projections are for and this question suggests an idea but I can't get it to work. I have a PaperConfigurationView that has, instead of IList<ReferenceMaterial> ReferenceMaterials the ReferenceMaterialCount and was thinking along the lines of ICriteria criteria = session.CreateCriteria<PaperConfiguration>() .Add(Restrictions.Eq("AcademicYearConfiguration", configuration)) .CreateCriteria("Paper") .CreateCriteria("Unit") .CreateCriteria("Tier") .Add(Restrictions.Eq("Id", tier.Id)) .SetProjection( Projections.ProjectionList() .Add(Projections.Property("IsSelected"), "IsSelected") .Add(Projections.Property("Paper"), "Paper") // and so on for all relevant properties .Add(Projections.Count("ReferenceMaterials"), "ReferenceMaterialCount") .SetResultTransformer(Transformers.AliasToBean<PaperConfigurationView>()); return criteria.List< PaperConfigurationView >(); unfortunately this does not work.
