    Assume I have a stream of records that need to have some computation. Records will have a combination of these functions run Sum, Aggregate, Sum over the last 90 seconds, or ignore. A data record looks like this: Date;Data;ID Question Assuming that ID is an int of some kind, and that int corresponds to a matrix of some delegates to run, how should I use C# to dynamically build that launch map? I'm sure this idea exists... it is used in Windows Forms which has many delegates/events, most of which will never actually be invoked in a real application.     I have developed a distributed test automation system which consists of two different entities. One entity is responsible for triggering tests runs and monitoring/displaying their progress. The other is responsible for carrying out tests on that host. Both of these entities retrieve data from a central DB. Now, my first thought is that this is clearly a server-client architecture. After all, you have exactly one organizing entity and many entities that communicate with said entity. However, while the supposed clients to communicate to the server via RPC, they are not actually requesting services or information, rather they are simply reporting back test progress, in fact, once the test run has been triggered they can complete their tasks without connection to the server. The request for a service is actually made by the supposed server which triggers the clients to carry out tests. So would this still be considered a server-client architecture or is this something different?

  • Program/Wrapper (how do you call it) to automate a certain script

    In this question a script is provided, that minimizes all the other windows except the active one. But the thing is, to trigger this script a (shortcut) key-combination has to be pressed. I would love it, if it would be possible to automate this behavior, i.e. no matter what I do, only the active window is not minimized. This way I cannot view more then one open window at the same tine, which is what I'm after. Is it possible to write a script, that does this ? I a question I asked a while ago (where I learned about the above script), someone said, the proper way to do this, would be through a wrapper through which every program starts. I would also be very happy with a more sloppy solution, like activating this script 100 times per second (simulating pressing the shortcut combination a 100 times per second), if it is feasible - although I was warned, that that may not be a very good idea.

If so, was it just a matter of convention or was it due to some deeper underlying reason? I'm currently programming in Java and noticed that the Arrays class uses the former style.     i have a problem about phpexcel and joomla. I'm developing some filter form to load excel reports, so i used phpexcel library to do this. Right now i have only a report, it works fine, but after that i upload inside joomla using PHP pages component that allows me to put php files inside joomla and call it. When i put them, i change a little bit the form that calls the php that generates the excel report, i call the php using a link like this: h**p://www.whiblix.com/index.php?option=com_php&Itemid=24 That is, calling it from Joomla, not directly the php. If i wanna call the php directly i could use this path: h**p://www.whiblix.com/components/com_php/files/repImportaciones.php What's the problem? The problem is, when i call the php that generates the excel through joomla, the excel that is downloaded is corrupt and only shows symbols in one cell when i open it. But if i call the php directly the report is generated fine. I could call the php directly, the problem is that if i call it directly i can't use this line of code: defined( '_JEXEC' ) or die( 'Restricted access' ); That is used to deny the direct access to php from call it directly, because it doesn' work because the security. Where's the problem?     I want to create a voip service. I have installed asterisk-1.4 on a dedicated remotely hosted debian lenny distro. I made a sip.conf and extensions.conf so as to place a call between two sip phones(i am using xlite 3.0) installed in some other Windows PC. Whenever i switch this phones the asterisk console shows that Registration from '"1000"<sip:[email protected]>' failed for '122.168.10.254' - Peer is not supposed to register Where xx.xx.xx.xx is the server's IP. i.e my sip phones are unable to register with the asterisk server.   • Spawn phone call from EC2 alerts

    I have a system setup on AWS/EC2, it currently is using their CloudWatch alert system. The problem is this sends just to email, when ideally I would like this to be making a phone call and/or sending text messages to certain phone numbers when an alert fires (Note that I do not need the phone call to actually say anything, just call the person). We are trying to solve the problem that Amazon alerts are only useful if people are checking their email, which isnt always the case because all server problems love to happen at 4am on saturday... Please respond with any possible solutions/ideas, ideally I do not want to implement an entire monitoring system (IE: Nagios) on top of everything to handle this.

    My environment: Centos 5.6, Asterisk with freepbx , skype i.e.sends message with parameter skype.sh skype_user message. Now i wanted to send skype notification so that my asterisk server notification are sent to skype rather than email (or to both skype and email). I know, there is voicemail.conf, voicemail_general and vm_email.inc, which has these body created. vm_email.inc emailbody=${VM_NAME},\n\nThere is a new voicemail in mailbox ${VM_MAILBOX} But i dont see where is something like "mail" command. What my thought to do is: instead of saying "mailcmd" pass system ( /path/to/script) and it would simply send message as rest is already configured. Any suggestion where i could run script rather than sending email Or Executing script on every incoming call, so that i could send as notification on every call over the Skype. (however, ultimate goal is to achieve miss call notification or voice mail notification over Skype.)

The callback function on successful call would be something like this. "Available" : "Not Available"; } I want that fuction to return the processed result which can be used as a parameter to the function updateTips The primary goal of this is to be able to do all of this for multiple scenarios, rather than writing multiple functions for the same call. Also i want the calling and the response processing functions to just do what they are doing. I dont want to add html objects into it. Any Clues?
