  • Requiring a specific order of compilaiton

    - by Aber Kled
    When designing a compiled programming language, is it a bad idea to require a specific order of compilation of separate units, according to their dependencies? To illustrate what I mean, consider C. C is the opposite of what I'm suggesting. There are multiple .c files, that can all depend on each other, but all of these separate units can be compiled on their own, in no particular order - only to be linked together into a final executable later. This is mostly due to header files. They enable separate units to share information with each other, and thus the units are able to be compiled independently. If a language were to dispose of header files, and only keep source and object files, then the only option would be to actually include the unit's meta-information in the unit's object file. However, this would mean that if the unit A depends on the unit B, then the unit B would need to be compiled before unit A, so unit A could "import" the unit B's object file, thus obtaining the information required for its compilation. Am I missing something here? Is this really the only way to go about removing header files in compiled languages?

  • Configure startup order of websphere application withing EAR

    - by Lukasz L.
    Is it possible to define startup order of the WebSphere enterprise application within EAR (some of descriptor/binding files, META-INF or anywhere else)? The procedure described in IBM InfoCenter requires using AdminConsole, but I would prefer to set fixed order in the EAR to assert that our 2 EAR's will start in fixed order (one is requiring the other to start before). Unfortunatelly, I haven't found in Internet any way for setting startup order other then AdminConsole/wsadmin. I don't want to go into AdminConsole each time I redeploy the EAR.

  • Order of learning sort algorithms

    - by user619818
    I have already studied bubblesort, insertion sort and selection sort and can implement them in C pretty much from knowledge of the algorithm. I want to go on to learn shellsort, merge sort, heapsort and quicksort, which I guess are a lot harder to understand. What order should I take these other sort algos? I am assuming a simpler sort algo helps learn a more complex one. Don't mind taking on some others if it helps the learning process.

  • Finding the lowest average Hamming distance when the order of the strings matter

    - by user1049697
    I have a sequence of binary strings that I want to find a match for among a set of longer sequences of binary strings. A match means that the compared sequence gives the lowest average Hamming distance when all elements in the shorter sequence have been matched against a sequence in one of the longer sets. Let me try to explain with an example. I have a set of video frames that have been hashed using a perceptual hashing algorithm so that the video frames that look the same has roughly the same hash. I want to match a short video clip against a set of longer videos, to see if the clip is contained in one of these. This means that I need to find out where the sequence of the hashed frames in the short video has the lowest average Hamming distance when compared with the long videos. The short video is the sub strings Sub1, Sub2 and Sub3, and I want to match them against the hashes of the long videos in Src. The clue here is that the strings need to match in the specific order that they are given in, e.g. that Sub1 always has to match the element before Sub2, and Sub2 always has to match the element before Sub3. In this example it would map thusly: Sub1-Src3, Sub2-Src4 and Sub3-Src5. So the question is this: is there an algorithm for finding the lowest average Hamming distance when the order of the elements compared matter? The naïve approach to compare the substring sequence to every source string won't cut it of course, so I need something that preferably can match a (much) shorter sub string to a set of million of elements. I have looked at MVP-trees, BK-trees and similar, but everything seems to only take into account one binary string and not a sequence of them. Sub1: 100111011111011101 Sub2: 110111000010010100 Sub3: 111111010110101101 Src1: 001011010001010110 Src2: 010111101000111001 Src3: 101111001110011101 Src4: 010111100011010101 Src5: 001111010110111101 Src6: 101011111111010101 I have added a calculation of the examples below. (The Hamming distances aren't correct, but it doesn't matter) **Run 1.** dist(Sub1, Src1) = 8 dist(Sub2, Src2) = 10 dist(Sub3, Src3) = 12 average = 10 **Run 2.** dist(Sub1, Src2) = 10 dist(Sub2, Src3) = 12 dist(Sub3, Src4) = 10 average = 11 **Run 3.** dist(Sub1, Src3) = 7 dist(Sub2, Src4) = 6 dist(Sub3, Src5) = 10 average = 8 **Run 4.** dist(Sub1, Src3) = 10 dist(Sub2, Src4) = 4 dist(Sub3, Src5) = 2 average = 5 So the winner here is sequence 4 with an average distance of 5.

  • Order of partitions for root, home and swap with respect to Windows partitions

    - by Tim
    I am installing Ubuntu on the same hard drive as Windows 7. The partitions of Windows 7 have already occupied the left part of the hard drive. I was wondering how to arrange the order of partitions of root, home and swap, i.e. which is on the left just besides one Windows partition, which is in the middle and which is on the far right? Is there some consideration regarding about this arrangement? Thanks and regards!

  • Finding the order of a set's elements

    - by Maciej Stachowski
    A little rephrased, in the form of a game, real-life problem: Suppose there is a set of elements {1, 2, ..., n}. Player A has chosen a single permutation of this set. Player B wants to find out the order of the elements by asking questions of form "Is X earlier in the permutation than Y?", where X and Y are elements of the set. Assuming B wants to minimize the amount of questions, how many times would he have to ask, and what would be the algorithm?

  • How to control order of assignment for new identity column in SQL Server?

    - by alpav
    I have a table with CreateDate datetime field default(getdate()) that does not have any identity column. I would like to add identity(1,1) field that would reflect same order of existing records as CreateDate field (order by would give same results). How can I do that ? I guess if I create clustered key on CreateDate field and then add identity column it will work (not sure if it's guaranteed), is there a good/better way ? I am interested in SQL Server 2005, but I guess the answer will be the same for SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2000.

  • Django: Update order attribute for objects in a queryset

    - by lazerscience
    I'm having a attribute on my model to allow the user to order the objects. I have to update the element's order depending on a list, that contains the object's ids in the new order; right now I'm iterating over the whole queryset and set one objects after the other. What would be the easiest/fastest way to do the same with the whole queryset? def update_ordering(model, order): """ order is in the form [id,id,id,id] for example: [8,4,5,1,3] """ id_to_order = dict((order[i], i) for i in range(len(order))) for x in model.objects.all(): x.order = id_to_order[x.id] x.save()

  • Can draw on only half of UIView

    - by ydlee777
    Hello. I am trying to draw grid on a UIView on a UIScrollView. The width of UIView is about 1000 pixels. However, I can draw lines only about first 340 pixels of the UIView. Can anyone help me on this? The drawGrid function is - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { NSInteger width = 25 * 5 * 10; NSInteger height = (10 * 2 + 10) * 12; NSInteger i; //Get the CGContext from this view CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); // Draw rectangle with a blue stroke color and white fill color CGContextSetRGBStrokeColor(context, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0); CGContextSetRGBFillColor(context, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0); CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 2.0); CGContextAddRect(context, CGRectMake(0.0, 0.0, width, height)); CGContextFillPath(context); // Draw grid with red color CGContextSetStrokeColorWithColor(context, [UIColor redColor].CGColor); // Set the width of the pen mark CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 0.2); for (i = 0; i < height; i += 5) { if (i % 25 == 0) { CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 0.4); // Draw a line CGContextMoveToPoint(context, i, 0.0); CGContextAddLineToPoint(context, i, width); CGContextStrokePath(context); CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 0.2); } else { // Draw a line CGContextMoveToPoint(context, i, 0.0); CGContextAddLineToPoint(context, i, width); CGContextStrokePath(context); } } for (i = 0; i < width; i += 5) { if (i % 25 == 0) { CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 0.4); // Draw a line CGContextMoveToPoint(context, 0.0, i); CGContextAddLineToPoint(context, height, i); CGContextStrokePath(context); CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 0.2); } else { // Draw a line CGContextMoveToPoint(context, 0.0, i); CGContextAddLineToPoint(context, height, i); CGContextStrokePath(context); } } } I am also setting up the UIScrollView and UIView as follows: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; CGRect frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, self.view.frame.size.width, self.view.frame.size.height); waveScrollView = [[WaveScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:frame]; CGRect waveframe = CGRectMake(0, 0, 25 * 5 * 10, (10 * 2 + 10) * 12); EKGWaveView *ekgWaveView = [[EKGWaveView alloc] initWithFrame:waveframe]; waveScrollView.contentSize = CGSizeMake(waveframe.size.width, waveframe.size.height); waveScrollView.maximumZoomScale = 4.0; waveScrollView.minimumZoomScale = 0.75; waveScrollView.clipsToBounds = YES; waveScrollView.aView = ekgWaveView; [waveScrollView addSubview:ekgWaveView]; waveScrollView.delegate = self; [self.view addSubview:waveScrollView]; } I appreciate any help.   • Order of operations in C. ++ vs |=, which occurs first?

    I have the following code that I'm reading through: if( (i%2) == 0 ){ *d = ((b & 0x0F) << 4); } else{ *d++ |= (b & 0x0F); }; I'm looking specifically at the else statement and wondering in what order this occurs? I don't have a regular C compiler, so I can't test this. When we are performing *d++ |= (b & 0x0F);, what order does this occur in?

  • Draw Circle on the Map once the application gets loaded

    - by TechGeeky
    Background:- In my application what is happening currently- Whenever I am opening the application, In the top half of the android screen, it draws a Map and in the bottom half of the android screen it show's a list view. And then as soon as the location gets changed, it draw's a Circle with the current location as the center of the circle and show's an image at the current location(center of circle). Everything is working fine till here- Problem Statement:- What I want is when the user opens my application, circle should get draw immediately on the Google Map (this is currently not happening, it draw's circle only on the location changed), without waiting for the location to get changed and without any image on the center of circle and then if the location get's changed, take the current location as the center of circle and draw the circle with an image at the center of circle. And this is my below code which fulfills the scenario that I mentioned in my Background- How can I make this code to work the way I wanted to? hope I am clear enough in my question. Any suggestions will be appreciated. @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); mapView = (MapView) findViewById(R.id.mapView); listView = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.mylist); locationManager = (LocationManager) getSystemService(Context.LOCATION_SERVICE); locationListener = new GPSLocationListener(mapView); locationManager.requestLocationUpdates( LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER, 35000, 10, locationListener); mapView.setStreetView(true); mapView.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); mapController = mapView.getController(); mapController.setZoom(14); } Location Update class where I am sending the request to Overlay to draw the circle private class GPSLocationListener implements LocationListener { MapOverlay mapOverlay; public GPSLocationListener(MapView mapView) { } @Override public void onLocationChanged(Location location) { if (location != null) { GeoPoint point = new GeoPoint( (int) (location.getLatitude() * 1E6), (int) (location.getLongitude() * 1E6)); mapController.animateTo(point); mapController.setZoom(15); if (mapOverlay == null) { mapOverlay = new MapOverlay(this,android.R.drawable.star_on); List<Overlay> listOfOverlays = mapView.getOverlays(); listOfOverlays.add(mapOverlay); } mapOverlay.setPointToDraw(point); mapView.invalidate(); } } @Override public void onProviderDisabled(String provider) { } @Override public void onProviderEnabled(String provider) { } @Override public void onStatusChanged(String provider, int status, Bundle extras) { } } Class in which circle is getting drawn. class MapOverlay extends Overlay { private GeoPoint pointToDraw; int[] imageNames=new int[6]; private Point mScreenPoints; private Bitmap mBitmap; private Paint mCirclePaint; public MapOverlay(GPSLocationListener gpsLocationListener, int currentUser) { imageNames[0]=currentUser; mCirclePaint = new Paint(Paint.ANTI_ALIAS_FLAG); mCirclePaint.setColor(0x30000000); mCirclePaint.setStyle(Style.FILL_AND_STROKE); mBitmap = BitmapFactory.decodeResource(getResources(),imageNames[0]); mScreenPoints = new Point(); } public void setPointToDraw(GeoPoint point) { pointToDraw = point; } public GeoPoint getPointToDraw() { return pointToDraw; } @Override public boolean draw(Canvas canvas, MapView mapView, boolean shadow, long when) { super.draw(canvas, mapView, shadow); if (pointToDraw == null) { return true; } mScreenPoints = mapView.getProjection().toPixels(pointToDraw, mScreenPoints); int totalCircle=5; int radius=40; int centerimagesize=35; for (int i = 1; i <= totalCircle; i ++) { canvas.drawCircle(mScreenPoints.x,mScreenPoints.y, i*radius, mCirclePaint); } canvas.drawBitmap(mBitmap, (mScreenPoints.x-(centerimagesize/2)),(mScreenPoints.y-(centerimagesize/2)), null); super.draw(canvas,mapView,shadow); return true; } }

  • Installing CentOS 6.3 wrong hard drives order?

    - by Ken Tang
    I am trying to install CentOS 6.3 on new server that has 2xSSD and 1xHDD drives connected to mainboard's SATA ports by following order: SSD1 -> SATA1 SSD2 -> SATA2 HDD1 -> SATA3 On the installation process CentOS shows me hard drives by this order: /sda -> that is actually SSD2 /sdb -> HDD1 /sdc -> SSD1 It looks like CentOS assigns it randomly rather by the SATA connection order. My question is: What the order of drives /sd* depending on? And how can I change it to be by the order it connected to SATA? Thank you in advance!

  • Firefox - order of search engines reverts (toolbar)

    - by Victor78
    When I change the order of the search engines (Toolbar - Manage Search Engines - Move up / down - Ok) it changes the order, until I close and reopen the browser. I can't imagine that's the way it's supposed to work. I want it to stay in the order I select. I have no add-ons installed that have anything to do with search engines, nor that add any toolbars. I am not using a customized theme. Apparently this problem is rare, as Googling [ "manage search engine list" ("order reverts" OR "order changes") ] return 0 results. Firefox 3.6.12; Windows XP Pro SP3.

  • Order of operations to render VBO to FBO texture and then rendering FBO texture full quad

    - by cyberdemon
    I've just started using OpenGL with C# via the OpenTK library. I've managed to successfully render my game world using VBOs. I now want to create a pixellated affect by rendering the frame to an offscreen FBO with a size half of my GameWindow size and then render that FBO to a full screen quad. I've been looking at the OpenTK example here: http://www.opentk.com/doc/graphics/frame-buffer-objects ...but the result is a black form. I'm not sure which parts of the example code belongs in the OnLoad event and OnRenderFrame. Can someone please tell me if the below code shows the correct order of operations? OnLoad { // VBO. // DataArrayBuffer GenBuffers/BindBuffer/BufferData // ElementArrayBuffer GenBuffers/BindBuffer/BufferData // ColourArrayBuffer GenBuffers/BindBuffer/BufferData // FBO. // ColourTexture GenTextures/BindTexture/TexParameterx4/TexImage2D // Create FBO. // Textures Ext.GenFramebuffers/Ext.BindFramebuffer/Ext.FramebufferTexture2D/Ext.FramebufferRenderbuffer } OnRenderFrame { // Use FBO buffer. Ext.BindFramebuffer(FBO) GL.Clear // Set viewport to FBO dimensions. GL.DrawBuffer((DrawBufferMode)FramebufferAttachment.ColorAttachment0Ext) // Bind VBO arrays. GL.BindBuffer(ColourArrayBuffer) GL.ColorPointer GL.EnableClientState(ColorArray) GL.BindBuffer(DataArrayBuffer) // If world changed GL.BufferData(DataArrayBuffer) GL.VertexPointer GL.EnableClientState(VertexArray) GL.BindBuffer(ElementArrayBuffer) // Render VBO. GL.DrawElements // Bind visible buffer. GL.Ext.BindFramebuffer(0) GL.DrawBuffer(Back) GL.Clear // Set camera to view texture. GL.BindTexture(ColourTexture) // Render FBO texture GL.Begin(Quads) // Draw texture on quad // TexCoord2/Vertex2 GL.End SwapBuffers }

  • Library order is important

    - by Darryl Gove
    I've written quite extensively about link ordering issues, but I've not discussed the interaction between archive libraries and shared libraries. So let's take a simple program that calls a maths library function: #include <math.h int main() { for (int i=0; i<10000000; i++) { sin(i); } } We compile and run it to get the following performance: bash-3.2$ cc -g -O fp.c -lm bash-3.2$ timex ./a.out real 6.06 user 6.04 sys 0.01 Now most people will have heard of the optimised maths library which is added by the flag -xlibmopt. This contains optimised versions of key mathematical functions, in this instance, using the library doubles performance: bash-3.2$ cc -g -O -xlibmopt fp.c -lm bash-3.2$ timex ./a.out real 2.70 user 2.69 sys 0.00 The optimised maths library is provided as an archive library (libmopt.a), and the driver adds it to the link line just before the maths library - this causes the linker to pick the definitions provided by the static library in preference to those provided by libm. We can see the processing by asking the compiler to print out the link line: bash-3.2$ cc -### -g -O -xlibmopt fp.c -lm /usr/ccs/bin/ld ... fp.o -lmopt -lm -o a.out... The flag to the linker is -lmopt, and this is placed before the -lm flag. So what happens when the -lm flag is in the wrong place on the command line: bash-3.2$ cc -g -O -xlibmopt -lm fp.c bash-3.2$ timex ./a.out real 6.02 user 6.01 sys 0.01 If the -lm flag is before the source file (or object file for that matter), we get the slower performance from the system maths library. Why's that? If we look at the link line we can see the following ordering: /usr/ccs/bin/ld ... -lmopt -lm fp.o -o a.out So the optimised maths library is still placed before the system maths library, but the object file is placed afterwards. This would be ok if the optimised maths library were a shared library, but it is not - instead it's an archive library, and archive library processing is different - as described in the linker and library guide: "The link-editor searches an archive only to resolve undefined or tentative external references that have previously been encountered." An archive library can only be used resolve symbols that are outstanding at that point in the link processing. When fp.o is placed before the libmopt.a archive library, then the linker has an unresolved symbol defined in fp.o, and it will search the archive library to resolve that symbol. If the archive library is placed before fp.o then there are no unresolved symbols at that point, and so the linker doesn't need to use the archive library. This is why libmopt needs to be placed after the object files on the link line. On the other hand if the linker has observed any shared libraries, then at any point these are checked for any unresolved symbols. The consequence of this is that once the linker "sees" libm it will resolve any symbols it can to that library, and it will not check the archive library to resolve them. This is why libmopt needs to be placed before libm on the link line. This leads to the following order for placing files on the link line: Object files Archive libraries Shared libraries If you use this order, then things will consistently get resolved to the archive libraries rather than to the shared libaries.

  • Upload Certificate and Key to RUEI in order to decrypt SSL traffic

    - by stefan.thieme(at)oracle.com
    So you want to monitor encrypted traffic with your RUEI collector ?Actually this is an easy thing if you follow the lines below...I will start out with creating a pair of snakeoil (so called self-signed) certificate and key with the make-ssl-cert tool which comes pre-packaged with apache only for the purpose of this example.$ sudo make-ssl-cert generate-default-snakeoil$ sudo ls -l /etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem /etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key-rw-r--r-- 1 root root     615 2010-06-07 10:03 /etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem-rw-r----- 1 root ssl-cert 891 2010-06-07 10:03 /etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.keyRUEI Configuration of Security SSL Keys You will most likely get these two files from your Certificate Authority (CA) and/or your system administrators should be able to extract this from your WebServer or LoadBalancer handling SSL encryption for your infrastructure.Now let's look at the content of these two files, the certificate (apache assumes this is in PEM format) is called a public key and the private key is used by the apache server to encrypt traffic for a client using the certificate to initiate the SSL connection with the server.In case you already know that these two match, you simply have to paste them in one text file and upload this text file to your RUEI instance.$ sudo cat /etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem /etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key > /tmp/ruei.cert_and_key$ sudo cat /tmp/ruei.cert_and_key -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- MIIBmTCCAQICCQD7O3XXwVilWzANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQUFADARMQ8wDQYDVQQDEwZ1 YnVudHUwHhcNMTAwNjA3MDgwMzUzWhcNMjAwNjA0MDgwMzUzWjARMQ8wDQYDVQQD EwZ1YnVudHUwgZ8wDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEBBQADgY0AMIGJAoGBALbs+JnI+p+K7Iqa SQZdnYBxOpdRH0/9jt1QKvmH68v81h9+f1Z2rVR7Zrd/l+ruE3H9VvuzxMlKuMH7 qBX/gmjDZTlj9WJM+zc0tSk+e2udy9he20lGzTxv0vaykJkuKcvSWNk4WE9NuAdg IHZvjKgoTSVmvM1ApMCg69nyOy97AgMBAAEwDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEFBQADgYEAk2rv VEkxR1qPSpJiudDuGUHtWKBKWiWbmSwI3REZT+0vG+YDG5a55NdxgRk3zhQntqF7 gNYjKxblBByBpY7W0ci00kf7kFgvXWMeU96NSQJdnid/YxzQYn0dGL2rSh1dwdPN NPQlNSfnEQ1yxFevR7aRdCqTbTXU3mxi8YaSscE= -----END CERTIFICATE----- -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY----- MIICXgIBAAKBgQC27PiZyPqfiuyKmkkGXZ2AcTqXUR9P/Y7dUCr5h+vL/NYffn9W dq1Ue2a3f5fq7hNx/Vb7s8TJSrjB+6gV/4Jow2U5Y/ViTPs3NLUpPntrncvYXttJ Rs08b9L2spCZLinL0ljZOFhPTbgHYCB2b4yoKE0lZrzNQKTAoOvZ8jsvewIDAQAB AoGBAJ7LCWeeUwnKNFqBYmD3RTFpmX4furnal3lBDX0945BZtJr0WZ/6N679zIYA aiVTdGfgjvDC9lHy3n3uctRd0Jqdh2QoSSxNBhq5elIApNIIYzu7w/XI/VhGcDlA b6uadURQEC2q+M8YYjw3mwR2omhCWlHIViOHe/9T8jfP/8pxAkEA7k39WRcQildH DFKcj7gurqlkElHysacMTFWf0ZDTEUS6bdkmNXwK6mH63BlmGLrYAP5AMgKgeDf8 D+WRfv8YKQJBAMSCQ7UGDN3ysyfIIrdc1RBEAk4BOrKHKtD5Ux0z5lcQkaCYrK8J DuSldreN2yOhS99/S4CRWmGkTj04wRSnjwMCQQCaR5mW3QzTU4/m1XEQxsBKSdZE 2hMSmsCmhuSyK13Kl0FPLr/C7qyuc4KSjksABa8kbXaoKfUz/6LLs+ePXZ2JAkAv +mIPk5+WnQgS4XFgdYDrzL8HTpOHPSs+BHG/goltnnT/0ebvgXWqa5+1pyPm6h29 PrYveM2pY1Va6z1xDowDAkEAttfzAwAHz+FUhWQCmOBpvBuW/KhYWKZTMpvxFMSY YD5PH6NNyLfBx0J4nGPN5n/f6il0s9pzt3ko++/eUtWSnQ== -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY----- Simply click on the add new key and browse for the cert_and_key file on your desktop which you concatenated earlier using any text editor. You only want to make sure they both fit each other.We are actually interested only in the following details of the two files, which can be determined by using the -subject, -dates and -modulus command line switches instead of the complete -text output of the x509 certificate/rsa key contents.$ sudo openssl x509 -noout -subject -in /etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pemsubject= /CN=ubuntu$ sudo openssl x509 -noout -dates -in /etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pemnotBefore=Jun  7 08:03:53 2010 GMTnotAfter=Jun  4 08:03:53 2020 GMT$ sudo openssl x509 -noout -modulus -in /etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem Modulus=B6ECF899C8FA9F8AEC8A9A49065D9D80713A97511F4FFD8EDD502AF987EBCBFCD61F7E7F5676AD547B66B77F97EAEE1371FD56FBB3C4C94AB8C1FBA815FF8268C3653963F5624CFB3734B5293E7B6B9DCBD85EDB4946CD3C6FD2F6B290992E29CBD258D938584F4DB8076020766F8CA8284D2566BCCD40A4C0A0EBD9F23B2F7B $ sudo openssl rsa -noout -modulus -in /etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.keyModulus=B6ECF899C8FA9F8AEC8A9A49065D9D80713A97511F4FFD8EDD502AF987EBCBFCD61F7E7F5676AD547B66B77F97EAEE1371FD56FBB3C4C94AB8C1FBA815FF8268C3653963F5624CFB3734B5293E7B6B9DCBD85EDB4946CD3C6FD2F6B290992E29CBD258D938584F4DB8076020766F8CA8284D2566BCCD40A4C0A0EBD9F23B2F7BAs you can see the modulus matches exactly and we have the proof that the certificate has been created using the private key. You will be able to lookup all the details including the validity dates, subject common name and the public key modulus.Capture an SSL connection using WiresharkAnd as you would have expected, looking at the low-level tcp data that has been exchanged between the client and server with a tcp-diagnostics tool (i.e. wireshark/tcpdump) you can also see the modulus in there.These were the settings I used to capture all traffic on the local loopback interface, matching the filter expression: tcp and ip and host 127.0.0.1 and port 443. This tells Wireshark to leave out any other information, I may not have been interested in showing you.

  • No dual boot option, no boot priority order

    - by Atul
    I installed Ubuntu yesterday. I partitioned my C: when it was asked to give memory allocation to Ubuntu. The version is 12.04. I was able to install Ubuntu completely: Ubuntu is successfully installed. Restart you computer. I restarted and there was no Ubuntu option. Windows 7 also asked for a boot repair. So I did that too. I then wanted to change my boot priority order to Ubuntu but couldn't find it in BIOS section. I allotted 20GB to Ubuntu and it is deducted from C: but I couldn't see the partitioned drive in Windows 7. Wubi was working fine before on PC with dual boot option. I used Linux Live key creator to boot my PC through pen drive.

  • htaccess execution order and priority

    - by ChrisRamakers
    Can anyone explain to me in what order apache executes .htaccess files residing in different levels of the same path and how the rewrite rules therein are prioritized? For example, why doesn't the rewrite rule in the first .htaccess below work and is the one in /blog prioritized? .htaccess in / RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^blog offline.html [L] .htaccess in /blog RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /blog/ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /blog/index.php [L] Ps: i'm not simply looking for an answer but for a way to understand the apache/modrewrite internals ... why is more important to me than how to fix this :) Thanks!
