  • PHP Sockets Not Working

    Hi, I switched from Lighttpd server to WAMP and then found sockets in php are not working. But php is configured and working. (phpinfo() works) I removed the comment for the php_sockets.dll in php.ini @ C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5.but still gives the error "Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create()". Any more configurations to do to enable sockets in php in WAMP? (php_sockets.dll is there as well, I've checked) Thank You!

    When implementing JQGrid 4.3.0, Jquery 1.6.2, and JQuery UI 1.8.16 Ive come across an issue with the Inline edit. When the inline edit is activated, some of the elements get assigned an auto complete. When the inline edit is canceld or saved, the auto complete does not always go away (selecting text by double clicking it then hitting delete, then hitting escape to exit row edit). Leaving the auto complete controls in edit mode when the row is no longer considered in edit mode. Perhaps you can tell me if there is a problem with the initialization or if I you are aware of an event post-"afterrestorefunc" that the fields can be returned to their "original" state. Original state being displayed as data in the JQGrid row. I've tried removing the DOM after row close, .remove() and .empty(): ... "afterrestorefunc": function(){ $('.ui-autocomplete-input').remove(); } ... but that causes other issues, such as the jqgrid is not able to find the cell when serializing the row for data or edit, and requires a refresh of the page, not just jqgrid, to be able to once again see the data from that row.     As it appears that jqGrid is based on the jQuery dialog, is it possible to make it movable (like a dialog)? I've been able to put it inside of a dialog but it looks odd with two title bars and such. I'd "think" that the necessary class could be added to it to make it movable but I'm still fairly new at both jQuery and jqGrid.

Let say it currently has 10 rows, the height of the jqGrid will shrink to 10 rows (so that no gaping empty rows is exposed).   • Remember (persist) the filter, sort order and current page of jqGrid

    My application users asked if it were possible for pages that contain a jqGrid to remember the filter, sort order and current page of the grid (because when they click a grid item to carry out a task and then go back to it they'd like it to be "as they left it") Cookies seem to be the way forward, but how to get the page to load these and set them in the grid before it makes its first data request is a little beyond me at this stage. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing with jqGrid? Thanks!

    I'm trying to upgrade php 5.4.14 from php 5.4.3 in wamp server 2.2e. I have downloaded php-5.4.14-Win32-VC9-x86 (thread safe). Extracted it under C:\wamp\bin\php. Copied wampserver.conf from C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.4.3 to C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.4.14. Renamed php.ini-development to phpForApache.ini. -The port number the wamp server has been changed in the http.conf file to 8087 from its default 80. This is mentioned here though it is about upgrading from php 5.3.5 to php 5.4.0. After this, Restarting of the wamp server and services all over again has all been done and those two versions appeared in the menu php-versions (which is opened when the icon of the server is clicked). But when I attempt to enable a library like php_mysql or php_mysqli, a warning message box appears. PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:"\php\php_mysql.dll' - The specified module could not be loaded. I have also tried to removing the semicolon before them in the php.ini file but to no avail. I'm running Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002, service pack 3. Where might be the problem? EDIT: I have changed extension_dir from C:\php to c:\wamp\bin\php\php5.4.14\ext\ in php.ini as the answer below indicates and the library is now loaded correctly but it says, 1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) though the user name and the password are the same as they are in MySQL in the config.inc.php file under phpmyadmin. I have also tried to restart MySQL56 service from Control Panel-Services(Local) but it keeps giving the same error. Does someone know why this happens?

  • PHP extension causes symbol lookup error

    Dear, I installed - or better tried to - the NMCryptGate Extension for PHP on my Debian 5.0.8 server. I did this by compiling the sources which came up with no error message. Calling phpinfo() I can see the extension as enabled. BUT, whenever I try calling a method from this extension I get an error logged to the apache error log: /usr/sbin/apache2: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/php5/20060613+lfs/nmcryptgate.so: undefined symbol: nmlistalloc What is missing? I got two packages from the software company: the php module sources and some files which should - according to their path inside the tar - go to /usr/local/bin|doc|include|lib. I moved them there without any effect. I guess I just have to move the files to the correct location or change the libdir inside the config files but meanwhile I'm totally confused by the two packages: do I need both, which config rules what, do I have to use the libdir variable? And for what? ... Anybody out there hinting me to my source of failure? Thank you in advance, regards, Christian
