  • Fake location for the device (custom)

    I know there are a few apps out there to fake a devices location but specifically what i want to do is use a location grabbed from a url. What direction should I look for setting the location on the device. The scenario i have is a jailbroken Wi-Fi iPad tethered to a nexus one. The nexus one would host a background service that when a request is recieved, it would respond with gps data of its current location. The jailbroken ipad would have a background service that either updated the location on a time interval, or on a per request basis (depending on how i have to implement it) by submitting a request to the tethered nexus one service. That data would then be set on the ipad and an application requesting location would get the service data. The goal is to recreate the location faker app's functionality with the exception of the spoofed location comes from the nexus ones gps via the service but i have not yet found out how to set the location data for the device. I can ofcourse implement this in a per app basis but it would be awesome to have any app be able to use it.

  • Atom feed validator keeps showing Self reference doesn't match document location

    I am creating an atom feed, but when I validate it I keep getting: Self reference doesn't match document location and the specific line that is causing the error is: <link rel="self" type="application/atom+xml" href="http://www.example.com/test.rss"/> Please can anyone advise what the error is? Ps. I noticed an up arrow just at the end of that line. (presumably something to do with that bbut not sure)

  • New Location for .NET 4 GAC

    .NET 4 newcomers may have realised that the old GAC location (%WINDIR%\Assembly) does not contain .NET 4 global assembly cache assemblies. Indeed, they have moved to %WINDIR%\Microsoft.NET\Assembly. It is worth noting that this folder does not use the shell extension that the older one uses, which prevents us from directly looking at the folder's contents, which, IMO, is nice (I mean, the new behavior). The old folder continues to host pre-.NET 4 assemblies.

  • Sendmail SMART_HOST not working

    Hello, I've defined SMART_HOST to be a specific server, lets call it foo.bar.com. However, when I send a test mail using 'sendmail -t', sendmail tries to use mx.bar.com, which subsequently rejects my mail. I've verified that foo.bar.com works and that mx.bar.com does not work (yay telnet). I've recompiled sendmail.mc vi make, make -C and m4. I've verified the DS entry in sendmail.cf. I've restarted sendmail correctly. I'm not sure how to proceed at this point. Any ideas? Here is my SMART_HOST line: define(SMART_HOST',foo.bar.com')dnl ...and here is the result of a test mail. It never tries to use foo.bar.com, instead it uses mx.bar.com. $ echo subject: test; echo | sendmail -Am -v -flocaluser -- [email protected] subject: test [email protected]...   • Ubuntu 12.04 - Tiny title bar and icon fonts

    As you can see in the screenshot, the fonts for the title bar (any window) and for the icons within the file browser (as well as in the navigation pane to the left) are very very small, I have tried to fix this by a number of ways including using MyUnity, but to no avail. Could someone please help me with this as it can render my PC unnavigatable unless I'm sitting right up against it, and even then I struggle. I am using Ubuntu 12.04. Screenshot

    One of the biggest problems that I’ve seen with people creating WP7 applications is how do you bind the application bar to a Relay Command. If your using MVVM then this is particular important. But we quickly notice that we have a squiggly line under our Interaction.Triggers. The problem is that the object is not a FrameworkObject. This same code would have worked perfect if this were a normal button. OK. Point has been proved. Let’s make the ApplicationBar support Commands. So, go ahead and create a new project using MVVM Light. If you want to check out the source and work along side this tutorial then click here.  7 Easy Steps to have binding on the Application Bar using MVVM Light (I might add that you don’t have to use MVVM Light to get this functionality, I just prefer it.) 1) Download MVVM Light if you don’t already have it and install the project templates. It is available at http://mvvmlight.codeplex.com/. 2) Click File-New Project and navigate to Silverlight for Windows Phone. Make sure you use the MVVM Light (WP7) Template. 3) Now that we have our project setup and ready to go let’s download a wrapper created by Nicolas Humann here, it is called Phone7.Fx. After you download it then extract it somewhere that you can find it. This wrapper will make our application bar/menu item bindable. 4) Right click References inside your WP7 project and add the .dll file to your project. 5) In your MainPage.xaml you will need to add the proper namespace to it.   • Unity bar only shown in Desktop - Alt+Tab doesn't show anything

    I've experienced something weird with Unity and that is that sometimes the Alt+Tab switcher stops showing (yes, only showing because I can still to blind switch between applications), and the left unity bar is only shown on the desktop. I might think that it's compiz, but the rest of the effects are ok :S I don't have the exact sequence to repeat this error, it seems to be random :S Do you know what could it be?

  • ubuntu 12.10 The location is not a folder [closed]

    i just upgraded my Ubuntu to 12.10 and i noticed that i get this message The location is not a folder whenever i try to access a mounted media (USB or even my other partitions). I am now unable to view content on my usb pendrive or other partitions. already tried sudo apt-get remove exo-utils with no luck because it says it is not installed. Can anyone help me?   • Dates set according to location not chosen language

    I recently installed Ubuntu 13.10 chose my location as Thailand/Bangkok, keyboard layout and language as South African English. Everything seems to be set up correctly except wherever a date is displayed it is displayed in Thai, instead of English. This is most noticeable in the clock indicator (see images included for what I mean). How can I change my dates to English (South African locale if possible).
