  • keyboard works in the BIOS(except a), but not at the password screen(win 7, 64bit)

    The computer is a acer aspire 7720g laptop. When windows want me to input my password, the only keys working is caps lock, the numpad and the m key(and the m key works like a combined m and enter key). I did spill some water on the keyboard yesterday but the same thing happens with usb keyboards. I disabled the quick boot in the bios, making it go through every test at bootup, which resulted in continous beeping from the computer. Anyone know how to solve this?

Given a webserver on IP 192.168.1.1, how do you secure it to the point that Firefox doesn't offer warnings (and is still secured)?

  • PHP ssh2_fingerprint() does not match ssh-keygen -lf id_rsa.pub

    I am using the lib ssh2 module with PHP and calling the function ssh2_fingerprint() to get the keys fingerprint. According to all resources on the internet, I can get the fingerprint of a public key by executing: ssh-keygen -lf id_rsa.pub Which outputs something like: 2048 d4:41:3b:45:00:49:4e:fc:2c:9d:3a:f7:e6:6e:bf:e7 id_rsa.pub (RSA) However, when I call ssh2_fingerprint($connection, SSH2_FINGERPRINT_HEX) in PHP with the same public key I get: dddddba52352e5ab95711c10fdd56f43 Shouldn't they match? What am I missing?

    I can copy full path of file: { "keys": ["super+i"], "command": "copy_file_path" } But don't know how to copy its relative path (relative to project folder) I even created .sublime-project { "folders": [ { "path": ".", "folder_exclude_patterns": ["node_modules"], "follow_symlinks": true } ] } But copy_file_path still copies absolute path.

    Gitosis is able to authenticate users based on public/private key pair. It is able to find out which user is currently committing. However, the user name and email is taken from the client's Git configuration ('git config user.name' etc.), which can be set to arbitrary values. Is there any way to associate user names and emails with their public keys and then make Gitosis uses these names and emails as the name and email of the committer?

  • Bringing TechNet licensed server into production

    I am currently trialling an install of Windows Server 2008R2 + SQL Server 2008 R2 using license keys from my company's TechNet subscription. If the trial is successful, I'd like to bring the server into production as is (there's a lot of config needed for it that I don't want to repeat) so my question really is is it possible to change the Windows and SQL server licenses from TechNet ones to "proper" volume licenses and legally use the server in production? Or do I have to reinstall everything with volume licences?

    Hello all, I'm using Windows Vista, and I was wondering if I can put shortcuts for applications.Like for example, if I press a certain combination of keys I get notepad, or something like that. If those shortcuts were already there, how can I know them?     Ever since i installed windows 8, I'm unable to use Ctrl + Shift + Arrow Keys (to select words and phrases quickly in text editors) with any program. Ive found the same issue with other models of Logitech keyboards (not with any other brand, though) however, the solutions provided to those other models aren't working for me (or are impossible to complete, because of the difference in the model) If you have a possible solution, please reply!   • How do I turn off accent combining in Windows 7?

    I have English Windows 7 Professional with Hungarian keyboard language installed. The English keyboard layout works as expected, but for the Hungarian layout some kind of "accent combining" is activated. The effect of this ^+o becomes ô, ^+a becomes â, etc. This is not helpful at all, since the accented characters of Hungarian are already mapped to keys, but it's really annoying because I have to type a non-combining character to actually get ^. Is there any way to turn this "feature" off?

    In MS SQL 2005, is it possible to find out which tables/columns are being used either as keys in another table, or as part of a stored procedure? The reason is I'm trying to clean up some old stored procs and tables, some of which can be removed, some of which can have columns pruned. But obviously I don't want to remove stuff which is being used.

  • I wrote a new X11 keyboard layout file, how do I get my system to recognize it?

    I like to configure my keys my way, so I wrote a keyboard symbols file and I put it in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/cat I use it by running setxkbmap cat -variant dvorak (and it works), but it doesn't show up in the console configuration (dpkg-reconfigure console-setup) nor in the Gnome keyboard settings... nor anywhere else, so I have to run setxkbmap every time. I suppose that I have to register it somewhere, but where? Any hints? Thanks!

    I am trying to use ssh/scp from Windows to Linux without having to enter a password. This is what I have done, and it doesn't seem to work: generated public and private keys using Putty Key Generator (on Windows) saved the files as id_rsa.pub and id_rsa copied them into ~/.ssh added id_rsa.pub to the Linux box in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys I then try to ssh to the Linux box from Windows and I still have to enter a password Am I missing something?

    Windows 8 setup asks for the product key at the beginning of the setup without letting you install it. I got the Windows 8 ISO from MSDN but I didn't get enough keys to install it on all my 7 computers. Also, my MSDN subscription level doesn't allow me to get the VL product key to Windows 8 Enterprise. Is there any way I can install Windows 8 for a limited time period like we used to do for Windows 7 ?

    Trying to iterate through AmazonS3 that has around 5000+ keys stored in the bucket, used sample code based on provided link on Amazon Developer Guide http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AmazonS3/latest/dev/ListingObjectKeysUsingNetSDK.html Issue is iteration fails when NexMarker is passed which has length of more than 128 string characters, which seems unusal as withMarker accepts string as parameter and there is no documentation on limit to withMarker. request.Marker = response.NextMarker; Has anyone faced similar issue. Thanks in advance.
