  • Application of a rule based expert system

    Hi, The company I am working now has developed a Rule-based Expert System. It is a web-based system and supports Flow Chart, Decision Table, Fuzzy Rules and Forward Chaining Rules. It is something like iLog but less complex and powerful. However, one serious problem we are facing now is that we have NO CUSTOMER so far. We have spent 4 yrs to develop that product. Because my company is a start-up and has no reference, no one is confident in our product. Without feedback, we cannot improve our product. I am wondering if we should change our product into SAAS and make it free for people to try, or it has NO MARKET at all. (I will lose my job then..) Please give me some suggestions. Many Thanks!

    Hi, I'm currently testing Vulnerabiltys to SQL Injections for my companys application as an it-trainee. So I found, that the application is indeed vulnerable to injections because I can alter some of the insert statements. So I altered the insert Statement to this: INSERT INTO tablename( column, column1, column2, column3, column4,column5, column6, column7, column8 ) VALUES ( 10965972, 185796154, 25, 23,2023, '', CURRENT_DATE, 'v0201100', 18); DELETE * FROM tablename;-- , 2023,'a', CURRENT_DATE, 'v0201100', 18 ) I thought this should be a correct statement, but the MySQL Server returned this Error: MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax;[...] Would be nice if somebody could help and tell my why the syntax is wrong...   • Is there a way in PHP to check if a directory is a symlink?

    The title says it all. I have symlinks to certain directories because the directories' names have non English characters that I got fed up trying to get apache's rewrite rules to match. There's a bounty on that question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2916194/trouble-with-utf-8-chars-apache2-rewrite-rulesif anyone wants to go for it, and from the looks of things a lot of people would like to see a general solution to this problem, but meanwhile I made a plain ascii symlink to each of these offending directories. Now the rewrite rules are back to just alpha and _ and - and my security concerns are less and it loads the resources I want. But I still need the actual target directory name for display purposes. I googled "PHP directory info, PHP symlink" but didn't find anything. I need to do something like this: if (is_symlink($myResDirName)) { $realDirName = follow_symlink($myResDirName); }

  • Using Delphi or FFMpeg to create a movie from image sequence

    Hi all My Delphi app has created a squence called frame_001.png to frame_100.png. I need that to be compiled into a movie clip. I think perhaps the easiest is to call ffmpeg from the command line, according to their documentation: For creating a video from many images: ffmpeg -f image2 -i foo-%03d.jpeg -r 12 -s WxH foo.avi The syntax foo-%03d.jpeg specifies to use a decimal number composed of three digits padded with zeroes to express the sequence number. It is the same syntax supported by the C printf function, but only formats accepting a normal integer are suitable. My command line is now: ffmpeg.exe -f image2 -i c:\temp\wentelreader\frame_%05d.jpg -r 12 foo.avi But then I get the error: [image2 @ 0x133a7d0]Could not find codec parameters (Video: mjpeg) c:\temp\wentelreader\Frame_C:\VID2EVA\Tools\Mencoder\wentel.bat5d.jpg: could not find codec parameters What am I doing wrong? Alternatively can this be done easily with Delphi?

  • Seam page navigation with includes

    Hello, I'm using seam page navigation rules. and did not experience any problem with adding rules which redirect from one page to another. But since I designed my page views using those redirection simply don't happen anymore for those pages. Tried to define the rule to the view that gets included, then to the view that includes the others (which to me was making more sense) but none work. Is there anything special about page navigation in seam using included view-id ? I'm using jsf, xhtml as my page views. Thanks

    Hi, I'm trying to rewrite the url: https://mydomain/phone-append to https://mydomain/Service/PhoneAppend using the following rule: <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Phone Append"> <match url="phone-append" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="/Services/Index" appendQueryString="true" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> The rule works fine if the rewrite url is /Services but when I change it to /Services/PhoneAppend I get a page not found error.   • Python code formatting

    In response to another question of mine, someone suggested that I avoid long lines in the code and to use PEP-8 rules when writing Python code. One of the PEP-8 rules suggested avoiding lines which are longer than 80 characters. I changed a lot of my code to comply with this requirement without any problems. However, changing the following line in the manner shown below breaks the code. Any ideas why? Does it have to do with the fact that what follows return command has to be in a single line?     We forked an editor for upcoming release of our CMS. See: http://tinyurl.com/ylbtns2 The editor uses the css of the current template and loads an additional fix.css (inside the iframe) to override some rules: * { background-image: none !important; min-height: 0px !important; } #breadcrumbs, #content .sidebar, #footer, #header, #search_form { display: none; } #content { margin: 0px; width: 100%; } The problem: on first load the "min-height: 0px !important;" seems not to work - on second load the height of the editor iframe is 100px like it should be. Other rules like no background (fix.css) are working on first load and get overridden.

  • How to debug CSS/Javascript hover issues

    I often find myself wanting to debug CSS layout issues that involve DOM changes caused by Javascript in reaction to a hover event or different CSS rules applying due to the :hover selector. Normally, I'd use Firebug to inspect the element that's giving me trouble and see what its CSS properties were, and where those properties come from. However, when hovering is involved, it becomes impossible, because as soon as you move your mouse down to the Firebug panel, the elements you're interested in are no longer hovered, the CSS rules that apply are different, and (in the case of JS hovers) the DOM is changed. Is there any way I can "freeze" the state of the DOM and application of :hover in order to inspect the DOM as it was during a hover event? Any other ideas on how to debug this sort of issue are welcome, of course.

    Hi! I am using apache tika 7.0, one of the classes, called FLVParser, which is used to extrac metadata from videos. But, when i try to use one of the methos in the class, i get this error in Eclipse: Multiple markers at this line Syntax error on token "parse", Identifier expected after this token Syntax error on token(s), misplaced construct(s) I don't know exactly the meaning of this, and i don't know how to continue. I add the poiece of code also: FLVParser VideoParser = new FLVParser(); VideoParser.parse(); //Here is the error message Any ideas, please??   • IE6 HTML control wrapping

    Is there any way to prevent wrapping across controls in IE6? For example, I have a label and a single select box. The select box width is dynamic (depending on the content). I want the label to always be to the left of the select box. Right now the problem I am having is the select box drops below the label. I have tried using the <nobr> tag as well as CSS word-wrap rules, but because this isn't text the wrapping rules do not apply. The only way I have found for sure to make it work is to place them in a two-column table, but I do not like this solution. Is there any other way?

  • Using Regex groups in bash

    Greetings, I've got a directory with a list of pdfs in it: file1.pdf, file2.pdf, morestuff.pdf ... etc. I want to convert these pdfs to pngs, ie file1.png, file2.png, morestuff.png ... etc. The basic command is, convert from to, But I'm having trouble getting convert to rename to the same file name. The obvious 'I wish it worked this way' is convert *.pdf *.png But clearly that doesn't work. My thought process is that I should utilize regular expression grouping here, to say somethink like convert (*).pdf %1.png but that clearly isn't the right syntax. I'm wondering what the correct syntax is, and whether there's a better approach (that doesn't require jumping into perl or python) that I'm ignoring. Thanks!

  • Dynamic data validation in ASP.NET MVC

    I've recently read about the model validation capabilities of ASP.NET MVC which are all very cool until a certain point. What happens if the application doesn't know the data that it works with because it is all stored in DB and built together at runtime. Just like in Drupal, I'd like to be able to define custom types at runtime, and assign runtime validation rules as well. Obviously, the idea of assigning attributes to well established models is now gone. What else could be done ? I am thinking in terms of rules being stored as JSON objects in the DB fields or something like that.

  • Does mod_rewrite in subdirectories' .htaccess override higher levels?

    I'm using mod_rewrite to map my old directory structure to a new one. I have the following rule in my top-level .htaccess file, and it works: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /blog/archives/(.*) RewriteRule ^.*$ /archives/%1 [L,R=301] As you can guess, this takes http://example.com/blog/archives/00001.php and redirects it to http://example.com/archives/00001.php. But when I add these rewrite rules to the .htaccess file in the /blog directory RewriteEngine on RewriteRule atom.xml$ /atom.xml [L,R=301] the top-level redirect no longer works. If I move the rule in the /blog .htaccess file to the top-levle file both rules work. Can someone explain what is happening here?

I echo out the code, paste it into a MySQL editor and it runs fine, it just won't execute from the PHP script. What am I doing wrong?? Si

This could be as simple as elems = tree.findall('link[@rel="stylesheet"]') + tree.findall('style') But the problem with CSS style definitions is that the order matters, e.g. <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/media/css/first.css" /> <style>body:{font-size: 10px;}</style> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/media/css/second.css" /> if the contents of the style tag is applied after the rules in the two link tags, the result may be completely different from the one where the rules are applied in order of definition. So, how would I do a lookup that inlcudes both link[@rel="stylesheet"] and style?
