  (I am running Linux Ubuntu 9.10, so the extension for an executable is executablefile.out) I am just getting into modular programming (programming with multiple files) in C and I want to know how to compile multiple files in a single makefile. For example, what would be the makefile to compile these files: main.c, dbAdapter.c, dbAdapter.h? (By the way, If you haven't figured it out yet, the main function is in main.c) Also could someone post a link to the documentation of a makefile?

  I am using wget to mirror website using this code $ wget \ --recursive \ --no-clobber \ --page-requisites \ --html-extension \ --convert-links \ --restrict-file-names=windows \ --domains website.org \ --no-parent \ www.website.org/tutorials/html/ The next time I run it it starts downloading the same files again, however I want only the changed files to be downloaded next time. I have written a Visual Studio extension that has an IOperationContractGenerationExtension implementation, but this interface only seems to expose the ability to modify the service interface, not the ClientBase-derived class.   i am extracting file names of html files using line: filename = File.basename(input_filename, ".*") which currently prints full file name excluding .html extension All files are stored in the form of http^x.x.edu^1^2 all file names begin with http^ and contain edu^ what i want is to extract 2 (which changes) but it is always the second element after .edu I have attempted destructive gsub! but i m weak with regular expressions.

  I maintain a few Python packages. I have a very similar setup.py file for each of them. However, when doing setup.py install, one of my packages gets installed as an egg, while the others get installed as "egg folders", i.e. folders with an extension of "egg". I couldn't figure out what is the difference between them that causes this different behavior. What can it be?

  Hi Folks, I'm trying to run a virtual host on a WAPP stack. My virtual host has the FollowSymLinks option, but in Windows, all those symbolic links (I'm using shortcuts, and I think this may be the problem) have the .lnk extension. So if I'm trying to access settings.html, Apache can't find it because all i have sitting there is settings.html.lnk. Apologies if my question is unclear.

  We do this using the 'Advanced' button on the checkin dialog now (with Merant, nee PVCS) but the 'Advanced' button is disabled when I set TFS as my SCC provider. Is there a switch we can flip on either side to enable this? Or do we need to write some custom extension? Or can I get the TFS changeset number to associate with the change in PB? Or am I coming at doing selective builds entirely the wrong way?

  I need to match two cases by one reg expression and do replacement 'long.file.name.jpg' - 'long.file.name_suff.jpg' 'long.file.name_a.jpg' - 'long.file.name_suff.jpg' I'm trying to do the following re.sub('(\_a)?\.[^\.]*$' , '_suff.',"long.file.name.jpg") But this is cut the extension '.jpg' and I'm getting long.file.name_suff. instead of long.file.name_suff.jpg I understand that this is because of [^.]*$ part, but I can't exclude it, because I have to find last occurance of '_a' to replace or last '.' Is there a way to replace only part of the match?

• WPF Binding to IDictionary<int,MyType>.Values Doesn't Respond to Property Changes?

  I am binding a ListView a property that essentially wraps the Values collection (ICollection) on a generic dictionary. When the values in the dictionary change, I call OnNotifyPropertyChanged(property). I don't see the updates on the screen, with no binding errors. When I change the property getter to return the Linq extension dictionary.Values.ToList(), without changing the signature of the property (ICollection) it works with no problem. Any reason why the Values collection bind and notify properly without projecting to an IList<?
