    Possible Duplicate: My server's been hacked EMERGENCY My web server just got hacked. It was on a vps so I think it was hacked through another site. When I loaded the homepage it looks like it ran some script.   • some windows 8 metro (modern UI) apps don't open, but live tiles DO work

    Some of my default windows 8 metro (modern UI) apps don't work properly, the apps are the Weather and the News apps. when I open them, I only get the loading screen, that is, the big colorful screen with the logo in the center, and the "loading" spinning dots. They just keep like that forever and never actually open. There are no error messages or anything. The strange this is that the live tiles for those apps DO work and show current information. current weather for my location (saved before they started failing) and current news. Both apps did work well in the past, and every other default windows 8 app I've tried work well (both live tiles and the app itself). Every other non-default apps that I've downloaded still work correctly, so the problem so far is only with those two apps. (weather and news). I really don't know since when exactly they started to fail because I really don't use them (or any metro app) that often, so I can't recall if I did something like installing some other app, either metro or regular, or messed with some drivers, etc. they simply don't open now, but they DID work before. any ideas?

Also GUI part should be extensible too, so no SublimeText2. GUI. Preferrably GTK+. Lightweight. I don't understand IDEs like Eclipse/NetBeans consuming up to 1G of RAM. File browser panel. Splits, tabs and windows. There should be ability to split views tabs infinite number of times (or while they fit to screen). VCS support (optional: especially Git) Snippets & autocompletion (not mandatory, but I would very love to have those) Any ideas?

    I use the open source application Ulipad http://code.google.com/p/ulipad/ do edit restructured text files (rst). It is a python application that I launch via terminal like so python32 UliPad.py I have python32 as an alias to the 32bit install of python on my machine. I have several versions installed. First I would like a way to launch ulipad like other osx apps. Not really sure how to do this. I would like to set all .rst files to be opened with UliPad.py. Is there a way to do this? I know how to choose the default app in finder but not sure how to choose ulipad as that app.

    I am using Windows 7. I installed a media application (KMPlayer) that does not show up in the "Set Default Programs" list. Now in the KMPlayer's preferences, there's a setting to associate file types with itself. But when I tried that, I noticed that the files still default to Windows Media Player. So can I assume that no external application can change the program associated with a file type unless explicitly done via the: [Set Default Programs] or [Associate a file type ... with a program] or the [Open with...] options? Thanks in advance! Btw, I know there are utilities that can help me batch change it. I'm just more curious about the "rules" that Windows 7 has in place regarding file types and their associated programs.

    Hi, I recently downloaded JDownloader for downloading from RS. But clicking the Reconnect icon in toolbar gives the error, "Reconnect failed. Please try manual reconnect". :( In the reconnection settings, there is an entry for Router's IP. and the rest(User,pwd, Reconnection script) are blank. I having BSNL dataone broadband connection in Bangalore. I connect to internet just by turning on the modem and no user name and password is required.     Hi, I use this great web-clipping and note taking app called Evernote on my Windows machine. However, there's no Linux version of Evernote (doesn't work properly in Wine). I would like to get some suggestions for something with similar capabilities that runs on Linux/Ubuntu. Specifically I need to be able to select parts of a web page in Firefox, and press some key combination, to save that clip to disk, in some sort of searchable database The clip needs to have pictures and basic text formatting, anything extra is unnecessary I also need to be able to create empty note or edit existing one. Storing the notes on a local machine only is fine - I don't need the sync features of Evernote

My question is if you build a simple website using AJAX and you expected only few people per hour and then you start to have like 1,000 members logged per hour - can a single web application handle more requests per hour if you just upgrade to faster bigger servers or do you have to rewrite the code? Exactly how do you "scale" the web application?

    I have a specific program that I use often on Windows and Mac, but today need to install it on a Linux machine. I downloaded the ZIP file from the vendors website, unzipped it to the Desktop and now I have an SH file. I tried running this file from the command line as root, but the permissions were denied. How can I install this program on Linux? I know it's possible because I have heard of it being done. I just don't have the experience with Linux I need to get it done. To which directory should I install it? I tried the install command but it needed a directory to which to install.

    I tried various way to fix this problem but ended up with a dead end. My problem would be the missing "Open With" context menu items (or subitems?). It did not appear even though I hovered it for a minutes or two. Below is a screenshot of the respective right-click menu. Note: The only problem with "Open With" is at the right-click menu (as well as FILE menu). Edited: The "Open With" context submenu that only accessible at the top, while the typical right click menu doesn't work. Repaste from Comment. I don't think it's involved with any windows files because other user in the same computer doesn't affected at all. I can see the "Open With" context submenu. I believe this must have involved with current user's registry. It happens to all files (any file types, except folder). I can only use Open With by clicking at the file and select it manually at the top of Explorer window. (Refer to the link for the screenshot)

    I'm confused as to if any EXIF data is available when taking photos within 3rd party camera apps on the iPhone. My understanding is that Apple is currently not allowing any apps to save EXIF data to photos, and this is a limitation of saving to the camera roll on the phone. The last FAQ on this page indicates this, but appears to be out of date: http://www.codegoo.com/page/support I love some of the camera apps I've downloaded (Camera Genius, Best Camera, CameraBag) but don't want to continue using them if they aren't saving any/all EXIF data for the image. Anyone aware what the status of this 'limitation' is?
