  • Can NSCollectionView autoresize the width of its subviews to display one column

    Hi, I have an NSCollectionView that contains a collection of CustomViews. Initially it tiled the subviews into columns and rows like a grid. I then set the Columns property in IB to 1, so now it just displays them one after another in rows. However, even though my CustomView is 400px wide, it's set to autoresize, the NSCollectionView is 400px wide, and it's set to 1 column, the subviews are drawn about 80px wide. I know I can get around this by calling: CGFloat width = [collectionView bounds].size.width; NSSize size = NSMakeSize(width, 85); [collectionView setMinItemSize:size]; [collectionView setMaxItemSize:size]; But putting this code in the awakeFromNib method of my WindowController only sets the correct width when the program launches. When I resize the window (and the NSCollectionView autoresizes as I've specified), the CustomViews stay at their initially set width. I'm happy to take care of resizing the subviews myself if need be, but I'm quite new to Cocoa and can't seem to find any articles explaining how to do such a thing. Can someone point me in the right direction? Anthony

    A page within our MOSS publishing website has a property which is a lookup field. I only want the selected text to be displayed when you view the page not in edit mode, but when I use the Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.LookupField it generates a hyperlink to the SharePoint list item (obviously bad). Is there a way around this, short of creating my own lookup field control?

    Hello, I made a CheckboxList and it will not line up. I don't see any way to control the generated HTML. Right now, the check boxes do not align due to the widths of the <td> of each checkbox label being an automatic width. How can I set the width of this and make all the labels and checkboxes appear in two vertical aligned columns?   • RockBand-like voice app for PC/OSX / Real time pitch display software

    I played Rock Band 2 for the first time a little while ago (at Notacon). One thing I enjoyed about it was getting real-time feedback about my singing. I think it'd be neat to have something like that to run alongside my usual music, so that I can sing to random stuff in my music collection and know when I'm hitting the notes. Is there something like this for PC - ideally for OSX, and ideally that can just operate on arbitrary songs? I don't really care if it's game-like (though that's neat too); I just want it for the singing feedback. And I have no need for pitch correction - ideally what I'd see is just the pitches of the notes in the music and (on the same scale, differently displayed) of the live microphone. I tried to STFW but got no salient hits. :-/ Thanks!

    The TOMCAT server is using an Oracle 9G ojdbc14 driver to its jndi connections in the /common/lib folder. My web application uses Maven + Spring and I'm getting the dataSource using Spring jndi features. I'm trying to bypass TOMCAT old ojdbc14 driver with a newer one (ojdbc14 10.2.0.4.0). I've tried putting the jars in the WEB-INF/lib folder as a project dependency, but it doesn't work the application keeps using the old oracle driver that is in the TOMCAT folder. I'm trying to bypass the TOMCAT oracle driver because I cannot update it to the newest version because there are lots of other projects using it. Does anyone have a clue?

  • Search database with textbox/button, display record in detailsview and update fields

    Hello, I am trying to do all on one page. There are 3 textboxes and 3 buttons, one sqldatasource and one detailsview. Sqidatasource is configured to take parameters from textboxes and ingnore blank textboxes to be able to search by one (any) field at the time. When I do "test query" in sqldatasource - everything is working. Deatailsview is set to have sqldatasoure as datasourse. On each button I do detailsview.databind() but nothing is showing up. Need help, thank you.

    Howdy! I am currently writing a small application with Python (3.1), and like a good little boy, I am doctesting as I go. However, I've come across a method that I can't seem to doctest. It contains an input(), an because of that, I'm not entirely sure what to place in the "expecting" portion of the doctest. Example code to illustrate my problem follows: """ >>> getFiveNums() Howdy.   • JQuery text display problem?

    Kind of new to JQuery and I was wondering how can I state that the users submitted info was saved when they click the submit button by displaying the message Changes saved at the top of the form and then have it disappear when the user leaves the web page and return back to it? Right now my code only displays that changes were saved at the bottom of the form outside of the lists and will not disappear when the users leave the web page and return back to it.   • Custom Display Form with Custom Workflow button

    I have created a new custom list form that will show 4 fields on the page from a Custom List called "Shipment". I have added Form Action button that I would like to run a custom action that is set inside of a Workflow. Currently, the form displays the fields for "Manifest Number", "Pickup Location", "Delivery Location", & "Scheduled Pickup Time". When the user clicks the Form Action button, what I want the Workflow to do is go to the ID field of the displayed content in the Form and change the value of the "Picked Up" column from No to Yes. The problem I am having is passing the ID of the displayed information from the Form to the Workflow as a variable. I can get the "Picked Up" column to update if I specify the value in the "Update List Item" window under the "Find the List Item" section, but I cannot figure out how to do this dynamically from the Form

  • Table borders don't display properly when converted from HTML page into MS Word 2003

    Hello everyone, I've got a bit of a complicated set up. I specialise in XSLT which I write for 3rd party system. All CSS looks fine in the browser. Now that system provides a button that converts my generated HTML into MS Word 2003. However, table borders don't convert as they appear in a Browser. There are lots of tables and they have different borders setup. For example there is one that uses only outside border and no borders inside it. When converting to MS Word, a table appears with ALL the borders in between cells. Which I don't want. I've tried search the Internet, but didn't come across anything useful. Maybe there are tips or tricks on how to set up tables borders so it's understood properly by MS Word. The third party said the following: "The system just passes the HTML created through the converter it finds in the installed version of Word". I would really appreciate any tips and help! Dasha

  • How can I make PHP display the error instead of giving me 500 Internal Server Error

    This has never happened before. Usually it displays the error, but now it just gives me a 500 internal server error. Of course before, when it displayed the error, it was different servers. Now I'm on a new server (I have full root, so if I need to configure it somewhere in the php.ini, I can.) Or perhaps its something with Apache? I've been putting up with it by just transferring the file to my other server and running it there to find the error, but that's become too tedious. Is there a way to fix this?

    When viewing a jpg or mp3 in Windows Explorer, the bottom pane shows metadata from the media file. Furthermore, for video and picture, the icon is shown as a preview of the media. Is there a way to add this kind of functionality to windows for custom file types that aren't supported by default in windows? Is there a certain sort of plugin or extension that must be written?     I was doing some web searching and found some strange things involving umlauts. For example if you do a google or yahoo search for the word "nther" you are likely to find things like G&#xfc;nther which I take to be Gunther with an umlaut over the u. Now my question is what if anything can I do to cause these characters to be properly displayed by Firefox under windows XP? An amazing thing is that I had to introduce spaces in the G & # etc string otherwise it was properly displayed here as u with umlaut!

  • Actionscrips/Flex4: Display cut-off datapoints differently in LineChart

    Dear Sirs, The issue arises when the user selects a range on the linechart that cuts off datapoints. When this happens, I would like the chart to tell the user somehow that there are data points three, just outside the range, perhaps by drawing a straight line across the top or bottom of the graph.   • OnPage Load display one sentence - hide others

    Hi I have created http://techavid.com/design/test3.html and when you load the page you see there are 3 images. The sun image is focused(in color), while the others are greyed out until clicked. That is how it should be for the images. Under each image you see a sentence 1st: Sun, 2nd: Airplane & 3rd: Nano, but when page loads you see all three sentences. How to make it so when page loads the first sentence underneath the active image (sun) shows only and the others do not show, they only show when clicked (though that works just need to figure out onpage load only show "1st: Sun")? thanks :) paul J.

  • Using htaccess rewrite/redirect so single PHP file can display data according to GET/POST variables

    Hey gang, Bear with me as I try to learn more about .htaccess redirect rules - I'm a UI guy by profession and I'm doing my best to enhance my coding skills languages other than HTML/CSS/PHP, etc So, what I have is an index.php file that contains a menu - pretty simple. If Javascript is enabled on the users computer then forms are shown below the menu using simple jQuery goodies, with each link having a 'return false;' applied. What I am trying to do is make the page accessible with JS turned off, so instead of redirecting the user to a different page, I would like to use POST or GET variables from each link, to show the various forms.. within the same index.php file - but have the URL reflect the menu choice Here is an example using menu items named - Home, About, Form1 and Form2: With JS on, clicking on of the above example buttons simply slides the form or containing the data down onto the page. With JS off, if the user clicks the 'About' link, I would like to rewrite the URL to be http://domain.com/about - but keep the user on the index.php page (since it is the only page) and be able to use POST or GET variable to show the using PHP. So, accessing http://domain.com/index.php?page=about would show http://domain.com/about in the URL but pass the GET variable 'page' to the index.php file. Hope that makes sense.. and I'm sure there are many ways to accomplish this, so if you have ideas of how to improve on it, by all means, I'd love to hear it ! Thanks again Revive
