  • CSS + .MOV Object

    Hello all, I've created a page that uses jquery to slide from left to right displaying content in the middle of the page, everything around the centre is hidden via "overflow: hidden" which works a charm, until I embedded via the tags a quicktime video, it isn't hidden / it is always visible.   • css - 2 child containers not sitting alongside each other

    I have a parent container, that has child containers within it. 2 child containers take up 60% width and 40% width respectively. They have no margin, and they have padding, but use box-sizing so this is included in the width. But for some reason they don't sit side by side. If I change one of them to 39% width then it looks fine. What am I doing wrong? Example can be seen at http://jsfiddle.net/Rcaet/

    I list products on my homepage and on a company details page. I use the exact same HTML, but for some reason the product appears different: The productname is "Artikel 1". Here the product is displayed correctly: http://www.zorgbeurs.nl/ Notice how the green price area is right below the product. But here: http://www.zorgbeurs.nl/bedrijven/76/mymedical the green price area is all the way at the bottom of the page. Why?

I am looking for this mainly for performance tweaking and hoping there is a readymade project rather than building from scratch. Features I am looking for include: Combines multiple .css files into a single css file Optionally minifies the resulting .css file Works well with .Net (a user control, custom handler, etc) Is there a project out that that handles this?

    In a form, I would like the input:text to fill the remain space after the label to the form is left and right justified. The label have number of characters so I can't set a fixed width on the label. Code example: <fieldset> <legend>User Info</legend> <p><label>First Name :</label><input type="text"...></p> <p><label>Last Name : </label><input type="text"...></p> <p><label>Completed Email Address :</label><input type="text"...></p> </fieldset> How can I style the input to fill the remaining space after the text. When dealing with a website with multiple types of font (here it's large, there it's small, there it's bold, here it's underlined, etc.) is this where we use the h1-h6, or do we reserve those for times when there is a definite hierarchy, using instead <p class="xxx"> to define different classes for text?

  • CSS: set font weight depending on fallback font

    I am trying to set the font-weight for an element based on the font that gets chosen. For example, I may be trying to do something like this: h1 { font-family: Arial Narrow, Impact, sans-serif; font-weight: ?; } Let's say I want the font-weight to be "bold" if the user has Arial Narrow installed on their system, but "normal" if the browser has to use Impact, and maybe "bold" if the user's system has neither of those fonts. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about doing this?

    Faced problem while setting background color for any element in Visual Studio 2010 editor. Selection color doesn't override this background color. So then it's very inconvenient to work with selections in editor. Case when only string literal is selected it's almost impossible to distinguish colors and see what part of string is selected. Is there any possibility to fix the problem by changing some options? Or it's a Visual Studio bug?

    Hi! ASP.Net has a tag called CheckboxList. The output of this tag looks like this: <table class="checkbox"> <tbody> <tr> <td> <input id="/*longdynamicstring1*/" type="checkbox" name="/*longdynamicstring2*/" /> <label for="/*longdynamicstring1*/">Label Text</label> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> I want to position the label and the input but I cannot find out how. Tried the following: .checkbox input{ padding-right: 5px; } and .checkbox input[type='checkbox'] { padding-right: 5px; } but neither of them had any effect. Because it's ASP I cannot set a class for the input elements and I cannot reference the id because it's dynamic.
