  • Yet another suspend/wake up problem [closed]

    Hello dear friends and earthlings, I have some serious issue with waking up... It all worked 3 days ago and after an update it.. just stopped... i had no problems with it but now i just cant resume from the suspended mode... the screen wont turn on and nothing will happen... which is (sorry for using strong language) so i need help! i have not the slightest idea what could be the reason.   • SharePoint 2010 slow page response time suddenly !

    Hello, One of my customers faced a problem that suddenly their SharePoint portal was loading extremely slower than usual. After some basic troubleshooting I did not find anything suspicious in the ULS logs, IIS logs or even Event logs. After that, I came to the part that I like most which is capturing a memory dump for the IIS process and analyzing the threads running. I searched for any common mistakes like looping a large list, calling a remote web service but couldn't find any. After a deep analysis of the memory dump (Which was done by an Escalation Engineer for SharePoint), it seems that the farm root certificate was missing and therefore was trying to validate it from the internet every time the user requests to load the page and this was the resolution http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2625048 Cheers,

  • Unity Gone, have tried everything 12.04

    Hello I have checked a few forums and tried much of the advice given, however nothing has worked so far. I dont know how it happened but when I boot up, I get the login screen to select user and once I select my user and input pw my screen displays my background inage but never loads cairo dock or the unity sidebar. I have tried unity --reset from tty1 and get asked if im actually trying to do a reset from a tty. I have also tried ctrl+ alt + T after logging in to get a terminal and tried to open ccsm to restart unity from there and that has not worked either. Any ideas?.....Thank You in advance for any help you can offer. Darrin

If I am using Windows, Mac, Linux, or nearly any modern made OS for desktop IBM-compatible PCs, laptops, even tablets and smartphones, there's virtual memory. Clearly, compiling, at least on Windows I know this, an executable object file, such as a simple C "Hello World" output to a terminal, will be linked with the standard library, and several other Window's system software, dynamic linked libraries, and the like. However, how does linking all of these executables together or resources form a connectable interaction with, say, a device driver or any other stuff on the lower level?

I.E.: When 1Client make a click on his clientSide(browser), there paints one point, and on the same time the 2Client sees what 1Client did. And, in turn, where 2Client make a click on his browser, there paints one point, and the 1Client also sees what 2Client did. I could done already the configuration of IIS, I made an simple show Hello World and it run OK. And, further, what should i done....     I just wanted to say hello and ask a few simple questions. I have recently dove into programming with c# and have been curious what everyone else's experiences have been with when learning and starting out. What are some things that you can say that really have made a difference in your understanding and usages of any particular language? I lurk several forums but for some reason have always just kept to myself, and I've realized today that I'm not fully utilizing my resources when it comes to interacting with the community. With that being said, I realize that everyone that is interested in programming inherently is a natural problem solver and would like also to ask you to share your process of learning. Are you the type to have a short term project to tackle a general set of problems you're likely to encounter?     hello all i had ubuntu on my desktop but i had lots of problems with it so i turned back to windows... now im having the biggest problem ever :S all my dad was in a folder that i created on ubuntu OS and i copied em to another HDD and then i removed it and putted my HDD and removed all the partitions and made the windows parttions once i copied those folders back to my HDD ( using windows 7 ) i found those folders size 0KB when i try to open them i get error.. pleaaase tell me what to do.. i was using my /home partition as ext4.. waiting for answer :(

  • Open in explorer view not working SOMETIMES !!

    Hello, As weird as it seems to anyone who used it before, most of the time explorer view does not work until some steps to be followed, but in my case it was working and sometimes randomly not working ! After spending hours of troubleshooting and collecting logs, Network traces, Fiddler traces, etc. I reached the solution from the Network trace. Although it seems strange, it was sending a PROPFIND request to the root directory "/" which was actually deleted. So, I came up to this important article that states that you must have a root site collection in your SharePoint web application in order to keep it in a supported state. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2590564 And actually that explained it and solved the strange behavior as well.   • Laptop Hibernates after adapter is unplugged

    Hello i am experiencing a strange problem under Ubuntu 12.04. If I unplug the charger while my laptop is on,i don't see any messages but my laptop goes straight into a suspend or hibernate mode and it's a real pain to get it stable again afterwards. It always suspends (or hibernates) It always takes 2 attempts to restart it (press power button, it starts and it hibernates again, press power button and it starts and stays on) It sometimes has an effect on the wireless which doesn't come back clean and i either have to switch the wireless on and off a couple of times. I sometimes have to restart the laptop totally Is anyone else experiencing the same issues and if yes,is there any solution? Thank you in advance.

  • SSL / HTTP / No Response to Curl

    I am trying to send commands to a SOAP service, and getting nothing in reply. The SOAP service is at a completely separate site from either server I am testing with. I have written a dummy script with the SOAP XML embedded. When I run it at my local site, on any of three machines -- OSX, Ubuntu, or CentOS 5.3 -- it completes successfully with a good response. I then sent the script to our public host at Slicehost, where I fail to get the response back from the SOAP service. It accepts the TCP socket and proceeds with the SSL handshake. I do not however receive any valid HTTP response. This is the case whether I use my script or curl on the command line. I have rewritten the script using SOAP4R, Net::HTTP and Curb. All of which work at my local site, none of which work at the Slicehost site. I have tried to assemble the CentOS box as closely to match my Slicehost server as possible. I rebuilt the Slice to be a stock CentOS 5.3 and stock CentOS 5.4 with the same results. When I look at a tcpdump of the bad sessions on Slicehost, I see my script or curl send the XML to the remote server, and nothing comes back. When I look at the tcpdump at my local site, I see the response just fine. I have entirely disabled iptables on the Slice. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing these results?   • Curl Error 52 Empty reply from server

    Hello I have a cron job setup on one server to run a backup script in PHP that is hosted on another server. The command I've been using is formatted like this: curl -sS http://www.example.com/backup.php Lately I've been getting this error when the Cron runs curl: (52) Empty reply from server I have no idea what this means. If I go to the link directly in my browser the script runs fine and I get my little backup zip file. Can anyone help? Thanks, Paul

  • Can't create a fullscreen WPF popup

    Using WPF .NET 4.0 in VS2010 RTM: I can't create a fullscreen WPF popup. If I create a popup that is sized 50% width and 100% height everything works fine, but if I try to create a "full screen" popup sized to 100% width and height it ends up displaying at 100% width and 75% height... the bottom is truncated. Note: The width and height are actually being expressed in pixels in code, I'm using percent to make the situation a little more understandable... It "feels" like there is some sort of limit preventing the area of a popup from exceeding ~75% of the total area of the screen.     Hello, Currently I am using iPhone SDK 3.1.2 for developing iPhone apps. Apple has recently released iPhone SDK 3.2 beta and I want to try my hands with it. But my problem is that I want to use both versions of SDKs, 3.1.2 since I am currently developing apps and uploading on app store, 3.2 beta to start trying the new version (but Apple will not accept apps on App Store, if developed using 3.2 beta) Please guide me. Also the js and css file are not getting rendered. I'm accessing the images like this <img src="jquerylib/images/save_32x32.png" title="Save Appointment"> If I change the URL mapping in the servlet definition to *.htm, the images get displayed fine. Can you point out where I'm missing out.     Hello! Simple question. How do you disable the text selection of DocumentViewer in WPF? This is the feature where an XPS document is displayed by the viewer and then text can be highlighted via mouse. The highlighted text can also be copied but I have already disabled this. I just don't know how to disable the highlighting. Thanks!
