  • App submitted to Amazon AppStore is both "Status: Incomplete" and "Cannot edit application while in review"

    Yesterday I submitted my application to the Amazon AppStore. I did not upload a video, because I haven't made one and it seemed optional, because I was able to submit the app without one. Today I checked the app's status, it says "Status: Incomplete (Missing Multimedia)" with a link to the multimedia section whose video field says "Video < none uploaded ". So I made a video, but I can not add it because it says "Cannot edit application while in review." I used the "Feeback" link to send a message to Amazon, I might even get a reply, but do anyone already know a solution to this problem?

  • [PHP] DOMDocument load on a page returning 400 Bad Request status

    Hiya, I'm trying to use the Last.fm API for an application I'm creating, but am having some problems with validation. If an API request gives an error it returns a code and message in the response XML like this: <lfm status="failed"> <error code="6">No user with that name</error> </lfm> However, the request also returns an HTTP status of 400 (or in some cases 403) which DOMDocument considers an error and so then refuses to parse the XML. Is there any way round this, so that I can retrieve the error code and message? Thanks Pete

  • How do I get the size of a response from a Spring 2.5 HTTP remoting call?

    I've been poking around the org.springframework.remoting.httpinvoker package in Spring 2.5 trying to find a way to get visibility into the size of the response, but I keep going around in circles. Via another question I saw here, I think what I want to do is get a handle on the InputStream that represents the response from the server, and then wrap it with an Apache commons-io CountingInputStream. What's the best way to go about doing this? For the moment, I'd be happy with just printing the size of the response to stdout, but eventually I want to store it in a well-known location in my app for optional display.

  • Prevent status bar from receiving touch events

    Edit After further testing, it appears that the part of my button that are not clickable are where the status bar used to be. I'm hiding the status bar with : // -- Override point for customization after app launch [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES]; But it's still receiving touches. Any idea on how to disable this? Is there's a bounding box on an application that receives touch events? I created a few sample round rect buttons and placed them in different places in my view. The ones in the center of the view receive touch events (and show the highlighted blue color) but if I place a button near the edges of the view, only parts of them are clickable in the simulator. Is this because of Apples style guidelines? I placed a button exactly where a UITabNavigationItem would appear and only the bottom half of it is clickable.

  • How to get real-time status notification with Facebook SDK via listener

    I'm using Twitter4j and the Android Facebook SDK to fetch status messages. With Twitter4J I get real-time notifications whenever a new status has been added to the stream via StatusListener (Twitter4J). In the Facebook SDK I cannot find a similar way, I can only fetch entire streams over and over again in a fixed time interval using RequestListener (Facebook SDK) as far as I see it. Is there any way to get notified of new statuses in realtime with the Facebook SDK in a similar way as with Twitter4J?     Hi I have the following in a .htaccess file redirect 301 /page.php http://domain.com/page Which works fine and as expected. I want to be able to redirect the following http://domain2.com/page.php to http://domain2.com/page or http://domain3.com/page.php to http://domain3.com/page or http://domain4.com/page.php to http://domain4.com/page So basically whatever the domain name is, I want to redirect to it. But the catch is I want to use a 301 redirect. Is this even possible ? Or should I be using RewriteCond and RewriteRule ?

    I have a simple PHP script that will either serve up a streaming ASF file or not, depending on whether you're logged in and have access to the file. It basically does this: <?php header('Content-Type: video/x-ms-asf'); header('Content-Disposition: inline; filename="file.asf"'); readfile('file.asf'); ?> This already works fine in Firefox; when you navigate to this file it starts the video streaming right away. But Internet Explorer is a different story. When I go to this link in IE, it consistently tries to download the file as if it were an attachment rather than streaming it in the browser. What I am missing that IE's getting hung up on?

    I'm trying to get a page to refresh when navigated to from the back button. From what I understand after reading around a bit I should just need to mark the page as uncacheable but I can't get any browsers to refresh the page.   • HTTP compression - can I configure a client to compress the data sent to a server?

    Hello, I'm using IIS 7 as web server for my application. If I enable dynamic content compression in the server, will this also enable clients to send compressed data to the server, if they can? I mean, my application uses SOAP webservices, and clients usually send large chunks of data to the server. The clients are written in C#/.NET. Is there any kind of configuration I can do in a web reference / serice reference in order to tell them to compress the content before they send it to IIS? And do I have to do any kind of configuration in IIS in order for this to work? Thanks in advance

  • Is there any way to "peek" at a file while it's uploading through HTTP onto a Windows box?

    I need to add a file upload function to an ASP.NET website and would like to be able to read a small portion of the file on the server while it's still uploading. A peek or preview type function so I can determine contents and give some feedback to the user while it is still uploading (we're talking about large files here). Is there any way to do this? I'm thinking worst case of writing a custom control which uploads only a fixed number of bytes of the file once chosen and then under the covers starts another upload of the full file. Not totally sure even this is possible, but I'm looking for a more elegant solution anyway... Thanks!

    Hi everyone, We're working with a new codeigniter based application that are cross referencing different PHP functions forwards and backwards from various libraries, models and such. We're running PHP5 on the server and we try to find a good way for managing errors and status reports that arises from the usage of our functions. While using return in functions, the execution is ended, so nothing more can be sent back. Right? What's the best practice to send a status information or error code upon ending execution of actual function? I have seen some tools that made with Java but they seem to be a little crappy. What I want is a tool that sits in the middle as a proxy and does port redirection (which should have configurable listen/redirect ports). Are there any tools work on Windows to do this?

    I am attempting to add functionality to my Django app: when a new post is approved, I want to update the corresponding Facebook Page's status with a message and a link to the post automatically. Basic status update. I have downloaded and installed pyfacebook - and I have read through the tutorial from Facebook. I've been looking, but can't find out how I can keep this all working with the script and not having to login via a web browser. Any ideas?

    In one of my application I'm using the WebClient class to download files from a web server. Depending on the web server sometimes the application download millions of documents. It seems to be when there are lot of documents, performance vise the WebClient doesn't scale up well. Also it seems to be the WebClient doesn't immediately close the connection it opened for the WebServer even after it successfully download the particular document. I would like to know what other alternatives I have.

  • Custom Response + HTTP status?

    Hi, I have a rest interface for my project. For one class i have a POST method where you can post an xml and i RETURN a custom response like: <userInvitation>Invalid email</userInvitation> if the email from the xml which was posted, was incorrect + other custom messages i have defined for different situations. For all of these the HTTP STATUS is automatically put on 200 (OK). Is there any way to change it? Ps: I know that i can throw a web application like : throw new WebApplicationException(Response.Status.BAD_REQUEST); but in this case my custom response is no more included. So i just want to return my custom error + 400 as http response. Thanks in advance.
