  • How to inflate one view with an layout

    Hi, I have a layout defined in XML. It contains also: <RelativeLayout android:id="@+id/item" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> I would like to inflate this RelativeView with other XML layout file. I may use different layouts depending on a situation. How should I do it? I was trying different variations of RelativeLayout item = (RelativeLayout) findViewById(R.id.item); item.inflate(...) But none of them worked fine. Heeelp ;)

  • Best way to implement nested loops in a view in asp.net mvc 2

    Hi, Trying to implement some nested loops that are spitting out good old nested html table data. So the question is; What is the best way to loop through lists and nested lists in order to produce easily maintainable code. It can get quite narly quite fast when working with multiple nested tables or lists. Should I make use of a HTML helper, or make something with the ViewModel to simplify this? A requirement is if there are no children at a node there should be an empty row on that spot with some links for creation and into other parts of the system.

  • visual studio crashes when i view a javascript file

    i start up an existing solution, click on a javascript file, the file opens up in the IDE for a few seconds and then visual studio disappears. This is consistent and reproducible. I saw this patch for KB958502 and installed it but it didn't seem to do anything. Any suggestions on how i can proceed as this is completely stopping my development here.

I have two tables - Chords - |id|chord|name|rating|artist_id| Artists - |id|artist| (the relations : chords : belongs_to :artist artists : has_many :chords ) And in the index page for "chords" i want to display chord,name,rating from Chords table AND artist from the Artists table this is the code for the chrod's index.html.erb : <table border="1"> <%@chords.each do |chord|%> <tr> <td><%=chord.artist.artist%></td> <td><%= link_to chord.name, chord %></td> <td><%=chord.rating%></td> <td><%= chord.created_at %></td> </tr> <%end%> </table> The error message is : undefined method `artist' for nil:NilClass Actually, at first it worked, but when i started to create the "new.html.erb" page and the create,new controllers, it stopped working - thats why this is so confusing for me! I will be glad to hear any critique and suggestions! Thank you

  • Can we view objets in the JVM memory?

    Hey, At work we found that on some instances (particulary the slow ones) we have a different behaviour, acquired at the reboot. We guess a cache is not initialized correctly, or maybe a concurrency problem... Anyway it's not reproductible in any other env than production. We actually don't have loggers to activate... it's an old component... Thus i'd like to know if there are tools that can help us to see the different objets present in the JVM memory in order to check the content of the cache... Thank you!

  • Very simple test view in MonoTouch draws a line using Core Graphics but view content is not shown

    Hi, I give up now on this very simple test I've been trying to run. I want to add a subview to my window which does nothing but draw a line from one corner of the iPhone's screen to the other and then, using touchesMoved() it is supposed to draw a line from the last to the current point. The issues: 1. Already the initial line is not visible. 2. When using Interface Builder, the initial line is visible, but drawRect() is never called, even if I call SetNeedsDisplay(). It can't be that hard...can somebody fix the code below to make it work?     So I think I'm doing something pretty basic. So If I bind a TextBlock to CurrentFooTypes.FooObject.FooImageName, if either fooObject or FooImageName change the textblock updates. How can I subscribe my viewmodel object to recieve updates in a similiar fasion.

The main application is tab bar application and one of the tabs supposed to show item management. The item itself consisting of 3 text items, first one can be label, it's short, the rest if it's not terribly complicated I would like to show below with small font or show when user taps on item entering edit mode...   • Forward horizontal swipe events on UITableView to parent view

    I have a UITableView that I want to have respond to taps and vertical swipes, but still have something like userInteractionEnabled = NO for horizontal swipes. By that I mean, it would not handle touches and pass the touch event back to its superview. Things I've tried that didn't work: returning NO in - (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canEditRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath Overriding touchesBegan/touchesMoved/touchesEnded and passing the event to the next responder Adding gesture recognizers for horizontal swipes and setting cancelsTouchesInView to YES I've been trying to fix this on and off for several weeks, so any help is greatly appreciated!

I would like to move a CheckBox, so it displays in a different location than the top-left corner under Absolute Layout inside main.xml, for 'Android'. I'm using Eclipse to edit my views.   • JSON is not nested in rails view

    I have a several models in a heirarchy, 1:many at each level. Each class is associated only with the class above it and the one below it, ie: L1 course, L2 unit, L3 unit layout, L4 layout fields, L5 table fields (not in code, but a sibling of layout fields) I am trying to build a JSON response of the entire hierarchy. def show @course = Course.find(params[:id]) respond_to do |format| format.html # show.html.erb format.json do @course = Course.find(params[:id]) @units = @course.units.all @unit_layouts = UnitLayout.where(:unit_id => @units) @layout_fields = LayoutField.where(:unit_layout_id => @unit_layouts) response = {:course => @course, :units => @units, :unit_layouts => @unit_layouts, :layout_fields => @layout_fields} respond_to do |format| format.json {render :json => response } end end end end The code is bring back the correct values, but the units, unit_layouts and layout_fields are all nested at the same level under course. I would like them to be nested inside their parent.
