• What is the Sql Server equivalent for Oracle's DBMS_ASSERT?

  DBMS_ASSERT is one of the keys to prevent SQL injection attacks in Oracle. I tried a cursory search...is there any SQL Server 2005/2008 equivalent for this functionality? I am looking for a specific implementation that has a counterpart of all the respective Oracle package members of DBMS_ASSERT. NOOP SIMPLE_SQL_NAME QUALIFIED_SQL_NAME SCHEMA_NAME I know the best-practices of preventing injection...bind variables...being one of them. But,in this question I am specifically looking for a good way to sanitize input...in scenarios where bind-variables were not used. Do you have any specific implemetations? Is there a library that actually is a SQL Server Port of the Oracle package?

My server application consists of a main and three classes. I'm new at Dart. Below I've extracted the logging code that I added. In what library is 'PrintHandler'?   I'd like for all of my objects to be able to return a JSON string of themselves. So I created a base class for all of my objects to extend, with an AsJSON() method: class BaseObject { public function AsJSON() { $JSON=array(); foreach ($this as $key = $value) { if(is_null($value)) continue; $JSON[$key] = $value; } return json_encode($JSON); } } And then extend my child classes from that: class Package extends BaseObject { ... } So in my code, I expect to do this: $Box = new Package; $Box-SetID('123'); $Box-SetName('12x8x6'); $Box-SetBoxX('12'); $Box-SetBoxY('8'); $Box-SetBoxZ('6'); echo $Box-AsJSON(); But the JSON string it returns only contains the BaseClass's properties, not the child properties. How do I modify my AsJSON() function so that $this refers to the child's properties, not the parent's?

• Java - Loading dlls by a relative path and hide them inside a jar

  Hi guys, I am developing a Java application that should be release as a jar. This program depends on c++ external libraries called by JNI. To load them, I use the method System.load with an absolute path and this works fine. However, I really want to "hide" them inside the jar, so I have created a package to collect them. This forces me to load an relative path - the package path. By this approach, I let the user run the jar in any directory, without being worried about linking the dll's or bored with a previous installation process. This throws the expected exception: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Expecting an absolute path of the library How can I get this working? Thanks for your help!

• Transparently storing class state without exposing implementation

  I have a model (MVC) class whose internal state (which basically contains of private int fields) I want to store. The program is running on Android (for now) so I need to store the in a Bundle, but I'll be using the same class later in a desktop application where I'll have to store the state some other way, so I can't reference Bundle directly in my class. So my question is: What is the best way to store (and retrieve) the state of a class without exposing it's implementation? The best I could think of removing the private access modifier so that the fields become package accessible and create read/write helper classes in the same package, but that somehow seems wrong.

I was thinking of having a abstract base class: public abstract class Unit { ... public void ConvertTo(Unit unit); } Then having each class like Meter Kilometer Inch Centimeter Millimeter ... derive from that base Unit class. All the units of length would be in a package called com.unitconverter.distance, then a package, com.unitconverter.energy, for energy etc. etc. So is this the best way to implement a unit converter?   hi expert, I develop code in python to scan wifi and send to the server, it's working fine when executed manually, but i packaged it via http://www.python-packager.com by uploading my .py file and they create package for me as deb file for linux, and i download it and install the package but nothing happen when i click the .exe or set it as startup application. Why does this happen? Nothing is printed in the terminal. In .py file i'm having print statement to check manually to list out the wifi scan value, data to post to the server, response from the server once send. How this can be solved? thanks

  Suppose I'm trying to run a script of unknown origin, and one of the functions is from a package that is not loaded by the script (an oversight, maybe it was loaded in the .Rprofile of the person who wrote it). How can I find in which package this function resides? There's some information compiled on CRAN, that doesn't require the user to download/install all R packages locally; however as far as I could tell it only gives access to the DESCRIPTION files. RSiteSearch, and its web equivalent, seem to access an online database of all CRAN packages, where presumably a list of all functions would be available. Is there some way of accessing this information? Thanks. Edit: I know sos::findFn, utils::RSiteSearch and search.r-project; what I would like is to get the raw data that these tools use.

Now, I use reflection API to find out whether a class is located in the the metadata package. if (newEntity.getClass().getPackage().getName().contains("metadata")) I use this If in several places within this code. The question is: Should I do this once with: boolean isMetadata = false if (newEntity.getClass().getPackage().getName().contains("metadata")) { isMetadata = true; } C++ makes optimizations and knows that this code was already called and it won't call it again. Does JAVA makes optimization? I know reflection API is a beat heavy and I prefer not to lose expensive runtime.

• Need to include #anchor after querystring list

  Hello, Form is 'get' to a API which operates off of querystring. One of the parameters is a PackageID which indicates a vacation package. In order for the packageID to appear I also need to append '#packages' to the end of the get request. Since not all form 'get' have a package I need this to be dynamic. I've tried adding a hidden field with '#packages' as the value - however the '#' is automatically encoded and therefore not registered when the server grabs the URL. What would be the best way for me to dynamically include '#packages' as it appears in the querystring via javascript? Thanks!

  I have some c++ written package. Linux, gcc. I can modify compilation process (change Makefile, flags, etc.), but can not change C++ source code. One runs the package with different parameters, it does a job and exits. How to count: 1) Number of calls of function with specific name? 2) Number of calls of functions with specific signature? 3) Number of calls of functions where one of the parameters is of specific type i.e. std::string (type is specified by signature)? 4) and extra Number of calls of functions of STL objects, i.e. std::string copy constructor? (I mean count a number of calls during the run. ) I thought to do it with GDB, but I found it very tough to do (1) and have not found how to do (2)-(4) at all. All acceptable answers I will write here for humanity.

  Hi, I currently deployed an SSIS package (Developed on the 2005 version) (developed on my local server) in a pre production environment for testing. I have used the Row count transform to get a count of good/bad records. It works fine on my local system . However when i deploy this on the pre prod server, the row count does not work! (as in it does not recognize the vairbales i have assigned to the relevant transofm - no drop down abvaliable in the variables attribute part. tried deleting and adding a new transoform.. no luck. Strangely this does not work for any of the other packages also present/deployed on the same server (tried this out by dropping an rc tramsform onto an existing package... same problem) Any suggestions? • Setting up RADIUS + LDAP for WPA2 on Ubuntu

  I'm setting up a wireless network for ~150 users. In short, I'm looking for a guide to set RADIUS server to authenticate WPA2 against a LDAP. On Ubuntu. I got a working LDAP, but as it is not in production use, it can very easily be adapted to whatever changes this project may require. I've been looking at FreeRADIUS, but any RADIUS server will do. We got a separate physical network just for WiFi, so not too many worries about security on that front. Our AP's are HP's low end enterprise stuff - they seem to support whatever you can think of. All Ubuntu Server, baby! And the bad news: I now somebody less knowledgeable than me will eventually take over administration, so the setup has to be as "trivial" as possible. So far, our setup is based only on software from the Ubuntu repositories, with exception of our LDAP administration web application and a few small special scripts. So no "fetch package X, untar, ./configure"-things if avoidable. UPDATE 2009-08-18: While I found several useful resources, there is one serious obstacle: Ignoring EAP-Type/tls because we do not have OpenSSL support. Ignoring EAP-Type/ttls because we do not have OpenSSL support. Ignoring EAP-Type/peap because we do not have OpenSSL support. Basically the Ubuntu version of FreeRADIUS does not support SSL (bug 183840), which makes all the secure EAP-types useless. Bummer.
