  Hi. I made two applications that each one of them is tabbar based. Now I want to combine them to one app that will be struct like that: -Main menu with 2 buttones. - button 1: tab bar app no 1. - button 2: tab bar app no 2. from each tab bar app, I want an Home button on the left side of the nav bar that will take me to the main menu. • Using Regex, how can I remove certain characters from the inside of tags in a string of html?

  Suppose I have a string of html that contains a bunch of control characters and I want to remove the control characters from inside tags only, leaving the characters outside the tags alone. For example Here the control character is the numeral "1". Input The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <sp11a1n 1class1='jumpe111r'11>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog Desired Output The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <span class='jumper'>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog So far I can match tags which contain the control character but I can't remove them in one regex. I guess I could perform another regex on my matches, but I'd really like to know if there's a better way.   Hi, I have a page in which i have provided a link clicking on which should redirect to a new page on the new window. My code is <a href="javascript:void(0);" class="webMnu" onclick="window.open('http://proschoolonline.com/payments','plain');">Enroll</a> The problem is that it is working fine in firefox(opens in a new tab) but in internet explorer its opening in a popup (not in a new tab). So, when I add 10000 elements to a map, and after that call map.clear(), it will keep 10000 nulls in it's internal array. So, my question is, how does JVM handle this array of nothing, and thus, is HashMap memory effective?

  I'm trying to get vim to display my tabs as ? so they cannot be mistaken for actual characters. I'd hoped the following would work: if has("multi_byte") set lcs=tab:? else set lcs=tab:>- endif However, this gives me E474: Invalid argument: lcs=tab:? The file is UTF-8 encoded and includes a BOM. Googling "vim encoding" or similar gives me many results about the encoding of edited files, but nothing about the encoding of executed scripts. How to get this character into my .vimrc so that it is properly displayed?

  I'd like to be able to run a command that opens up a git diff in vim, with a tab for each file in the diff set. So if for example I've changed files foo.txt and bar.txt in my working tree and I ran the command I would see vim open with two tabs. The first tab would contain a side-by-side diff between foo.txt in my working tree and foo.txt in the repository, and the second tab would contain a side-by-side diff for bar.txt. Anyone got any ideas?

  Hi, I am trying to convert text into graphics using c#. My input is character string and output is bitmap with the input text. After lot of search I found some ways to do it, I found some techiques which uses this kind of techinque. For Example While creating Captcha, we have to print the character in the bitmap. But for that I should have the font installed in my windows. I can not perform such operation without installing the font. I have .ttf file with me but I dont want to install it because my work for that font is temporary only. Is there any way where I can extract out the Font's graphical information by providing the Character?   I have a problem with python about reading and print utf8 text file. I have a test.txt in utf8 encoding without BOM. This file has two characters in it: ?? The first character "?" is Chinese and the second "?" is Japanese. Now, When I use Ulipad (a python editor) to run the following code to read the txt file, and print these two characters. import codecs infile = "C:\\test.txt" f = codecs.open(infile, "r", "utf-8") s = f.read() print(s) I got this error, "UnicodeEncodeError: 'cp950' codec can't encode character '\u58f0' in position 1: illegal multibyte sequence" I found it caused from the second character "?" . But when I use the same code to test in python default GUI IDLE, it works to print the two characters with no error. So, how can I fix the problem. My running environment is python 3.1 , windows xp traditional Chinese.

  I have a full page flash animation. When this page is open at Firefox and I want to minimize or re-size Firefox screen, minimize button starts to blink and Firefox does not take any action till this tab is closed. There is not too much code in the flash file. What can cause this? Also this could not be related with full page. I saw other flash files doing same thing. As I remember same problem at Daily Motion. When trying to switch tab nothing happens till I stop video or close the tab.

I cannot do select A.col1 - B.col1 from (query) as "-" operator cannot be applied on character expressions I cannot cast my expression as int (and then do a difference/subtraction) as it fails select cast ('ASXT000R' as int) Conversion failed when converting varchar 'ASXT000R' to int Soundex would not do it as soundex is same for 2 similar strings Difference would not do it as select difference('abc','ABC') = 4 (as per msdn, difference is the difference in the soundex of 2 character expressions and difference =4 implies least different) Is there any other way of doing it ?

  I have set up a list using this css... #navlist li { list-style-type: none; padding: 7px; float: left; } I have shown the page using jquery ui with other div containers... the page here the page named friend.jsp?all=true Im using a clearing div... .clear { clear:left; overflow:hidden; height:1px; } Now when i use a clearing div i get the page like this... the clearing div is clearing up to the end of the page... but on the 1st tab, that is on the freinds tab, when i m not using a clearing div i get the tab pane with no height... Any help with setting up a css for ui tabs or with setting up the list without float:left thanks Pradyut

  Hey Guys I am getting several errors only on IE8 running on my vista OS. On the other browsers (Chrome, FF, Safari) everything works fine. Not sure where to begin looking. • Why does TabStop stop working??

  I have a project that uses a series of auto-generated user control instances. The user-control itself exists, but I populate a panel with a series of these user controls, one for each item in my collection. Each user control displays a ton of information, but only ONE text field is editable. All of the other fields have TabStop set to false, and are marked as ReadOnly. The tab order of each user control is set at the time it is created so that the tab-key goes from one field to the next (or ... it's supposed to). When I have TWO fields on my user control whose TabStop is set to true, everything works great. But if I only have ONE field whose TabStop is true, the tab key stops working, and I have to physically CLICK on the next user control for it to gain focus. What's up? Has anyone else seen this behavior? Am I doing something stupid as usual?

• ExtJS TabPanel content does not shrink in IE6

  I'm using ExtJS 3.2 and have content inside of a tab panel, and the tab panel inside of a container in a Viewport. The actual TabPanel resizes correctly on the viewport size changes, but the content inside a panel in the TabPanel seems to be a fixed width and will not shrink when the window is resized.The strange thing is it grows if I increase the window size. How can I get the content inside a Tabpanel to shrink on window resizing. Sorry for this being confusing, my structure is this: Viewport (rendered to body, and sets defaults {monitorResize:true}) - Text Label - TabPanel - Tab - Container (Border Layout) - Panel 1 (Center) - Panel 2 (East) - Panel 3 (South) Thanks in advance!

• iPhone TabBar selection cancelling

  I am developing an iPhone app that displays several views, all acessed via Tab Bar items. However I need to add an additional item to the Tab Bar that simply launches a URL in Safari. I've accomplished this by adding an empty placeholder view to the TabBar and returning FALSE from shouldSelectViewController when the this view's tabBarItem is clicked on, and launching Safari at the same time. That code is: - (BOOL)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController shouldSelectViewController:(UIViewController *)viewController { if([[viewController tabBarItem] title] == "Website"){ //... launch Safari return FALSE; } else { return TRUE; } } PROBLEM: If the TabBar has too many items, and this "Safari Launch" tab is pushed off to the "More" navigation controller, I lose the capability to intercept the event and prevent the view from loading when clicked. Any suggested tips?

• Error calling webservice from JQuery

  I have a strange problem when I'm trying to call a simple webservice method from Jquery. Locally it works fine, but on my test-server it does not. The jquery request looks like this (only showing the actual request and not the rest of the method): $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "/Service/Service.asmx/AddTab", data: "tab=" + element.innerHTML, success: function(msg) { alert('success'); } }); When I run this locally from the test-server it works fine, which has me wondering if it could be some setting that I've missed in the IIS. If I navigate to the .asmx file and click the AddTab method I get a list of SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2 XML, but not the HTTP POST request. If I navigate to it locally I get all three (SOAP 1.1, SOAP 1.2 and HTTP Post) The service is set up as follows: [WebService(Namespace = "mynamespace")] [WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)] [System.ComponentModel.ToolboxItem(false)] [ScriptService()] public class Service : System.Web.Services.WebService { [WebMethod(EnableSession=true)] [ScriptMethod()] public void AddTab(string tab) { //Some code to add a tab which evidently works locally... } } Anyone have a clue what I'm missing here?

  When I try to validate a certain page I get the below error: Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 136 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication. The error was: utf8 "\xFF" does not map to Unicode What exactly does this mean and how can I find out what character is causing the problem? The page is generated dynamically in PHP and a bit large and I am not sure what to look for.

• Newbie question - MySQL index size

  I've just started to investigating how I should optimize my database. Indexing seems to be a good idea, so I want to index a VARCHAR column, the engine is MyISAM. From what I've read, I understand that an index is limited to a size of 1000 bytes. A VARCHAR character is 3 bytes in size. Does this mean that if I want to index a VARCHAR column with 50 rows, I need an index prefix of 6 characters? I came to that number by dividing 1000 with the row number 50, then the bytesize per character that is 3. 1000/50/3=6,66. It seems a little complicated, so I'm just wondering if I'm thinking right? It seems weird to me that you'd only be able to index 333 rows in a VARCHAR column, using a prefix of 1 character.

But however, I now feel that ExtJs grid looks better than Flex data grid. My question is whether there is any possibility / mechanism to embed Ext JS grid into a Flex page. Lets say my main page has a Flex tab panel. In first tab, I would like to see 'Flex Chart' and in second tab I would want to see 'ExtJS grid'.   Is there a natural way to display model methods or properties in the Django admin site?   I am having a problem displaying a Javascript string with embedded Unicode character escape sequences (\uXXXX) where the initial "\" character is itself escaped as "&#92;" What do I need to do to transform the string so that it properly evaluates the escape sequences and produces output with the correct Unicode character? For example, I am dealing with input such as: "this is a &#92;u201ctest&#92;u201d"; attempting to decode the "&#92;" using a regex expression, e.g.: var out = text.replace('/&#92;/g','\'); results in the output text: "this is a \u201ctest\u201d"; that is, the Unicode escape sequences are displayed as actual escape sequences, not the double quote characters I would like.
