• jQuery: Toggling an image when toggling a DIV

  Hey guys, I'm trying to write some jQuery that will toggle DIVs open and closed, and it's working, but I want an arrow that will change to "down" if the DIV is expanded, and "right" if the DIV is collapsed. What I have so far: $('.toggleHead').click(function() { $('#arrow').attr('src', 'images/icons/down.png'); $(this).next().toggle(); return false; }).next().hide(); Where would I put the other $('#arrow').attr('src', 'images/icons/right.png');? • Strange Rendering in Firefox

  I've just noticed when loading my client's page (http://habbopfm.com/) in Firefox, that it renders what looks like a rectangle is pushed down a few pixels. It's difficult to describe, but imagine you took a screenshot of the page, opened it in Photoshop, selected a rectangle and moved it down a bit. IE and Safari don't appear to do this - I'm assuming this is a browser glitch, not a problem with the code. Can anyone confirm what causes this? Below is a screenshot taken of the issue: http://habbopfm.com/problem.png One other thing is that it only does this once the page has finished loading. While it is loading, it looks fine.

• Wordpress SQL_CALC fix causes PHP error

  I'm looking for some followup on an older topic for Wordpress where SQL_CALC was found to slow things down when you have a large DB in Wordpress. I have been using the code, at the bottom of this post, to get around it but it does generate an error in my error log. How would I prevent this error? • How to show a window that acts like a popup menu?

  Hi, When window A is show, I want to show another none-modal popup window B, but: I don't want window A to become inactive due to window B becomes the front window; I want that when window B is focused, I pull down a combo box control on window A with one click (generally you have to click twice, one for moving the focus to window A and the second for pulling down the combo box); As you can see, the window B that I want is something like a more usable popup window like a popup menu (which is less a obstacle than a general none-modal window when you want it to get away by clicking on any other part of the parent window). • Overlapping divs, absolutely relative?

  A wordpress theme I'm working on has headlines which span across the entire content area. These headlines are overlapped by the sidebar which is absolutely positioned at 100% width. The issue, is when the sidebar's content exceeds the page's content, it stretches OUT of my wrapper overtop of the footer without forcing the it down (because it's absolute and nothing else is). So my question is, how would it be possible to make a absolutely positioned div, become relative and essentially "push" my footer down, or is there a better way to do this? Also, if anyone has examples of how this has been done would be awesome! edit: The sidebar is absolutely positioned so it can lay over top of the sidebar. • Customized annotation problem

  I want my custom UIView (.Xib View) to appear when user tabs on pins (not apple's callOutBubble) and in that UIView there should be a button which fires an IBAction on touched down event. Therefore I have added an AddObserver method to MKAnnotationView. which responds to touch events over pin in MKMapView. I have also added 3 buttons over that XIB view, which have also assigned IBActions. But when I run my application, buttons in the customized annotation view are not responding to IBAction (Touch Down). Why does this happen, and how can I fix it? I need to call a method when those 3 buttons are tabbed.

• menu items not displaying properly

  Hi I am using Xml Data source to build menu for my application.. but the problem I am facing is, when i click on the menu it display all submenu right below the menu.. but when i scroll down a little in the page and click on the menu it display the menu items not at the right place.. which means it display the items not right below the menu it leaves some space in between (which is equal to legth i come down using scrollbar).. can any one help me???????

  When I code a popup menu, I can check the mouse event and then before calling show() prepare the menu. Now I want a similar functionality for drop down menus, that live in the menu bar.   Hi, I have seen many regular expressions for Url validation. In my case I want the Url to be simpler, so the regex should be tighter: Valid Url prefixes look like: http[s]://[www.]addressOrIp[.something]/PageName.aspx[?] This describe a prefix. I will be appending ?x=a&y=b&z=c later. I just want to check if the web page is live before accessing it, but even before that I want to make sure that it is properly configured. I want to treat bad url and host is down conditions differently, although when in doubt, I'd rather give a host is down message, because that is an ultimate test anyway. Hopefully that makes sense. I guess what I am trying to say - the regex does not need be too aggressive, I just want it to cover say 95% of the cases. This is C# - centric, so Perl regex extensions are not helpful to me; let's stick to the lowest common denominator. Thanks!

  I have a UITableView to display a list of data. The list will contain images, so I am loading images with lazy loading. Now I don't want to load the whole list at a time. The loading should be like, first it should load some 10 records and when we scrolling down to the tableview, it should automatically load next 10 records as on. For this I need to add rows when I am scrolling to bottom. The tableview may contain different sections. So how can I add new rows and new sections at the end of the tableview while scrolling down?

• Freezing a listboxitem while items are being added

  We have a ListBox that has a number of items. Items are inserted into the ListBox via an ObservableCollection. Some of these items can be edited right in the ListBox. However, if an item is added at an index < the edited item's index, the entire content of the ListBox moves down. What we'd like to do is the following: if an item is in edit mode, we'd like to freeze its position on the screen. It is fine if items are added to the collection and the UI around the item changes. But the position of the item should remain constant on the screen. The only thing I've been able to do so far is attach to the ScrollChanged event and, at most, use either BringIntoView or ScrollIntoView methods to ensure that the item is always displayed somewhere in the UI, but I am unable to lock down its position. Has anyone done something like this and help out?

• Firefox 17.0.1 ignoring font-weight

  http://iamsinc.com/blog/new-producer-bonus/ For some reason Firefox 17.0.1 on my Windows 7 machine is ignoring the font-weight of the td elements. It should be normal. This works fine in Chrome, IE 7 8, & 9, but not in FF. I have also tested it on an XP machine running 17.0.1 and it works fine. The font-weight should be normal, not bold. In the second box down ($300k level), the font-weight is showing up as bold on Win 7 FF 17.0.1 which pushes the pictures outside of the box. I have even tried reducing the font-weight waaay down and it has not effect on the problematic FF browser Does anybody have a solution or even a work-around? I hate to make the pictures all smaller just to work around this. Thanks!

To illustrate this better; the user provides three (3) pieces of information, username, password and data source name. This data source name is then looked-up in a central database telling that application which main database this user should connect to. My question is, in the DataAccess layer, should we only pass down enough information to uniquely identify that user, and query the central database each time in the DAL; or, should we provide another way to pass the datasource connection down to the DAL?

• JQuery-code on different content pages

  Hello, I have a site with menu, which reloads content. Content is dynamically loadable, using ajax and php-script. At different content pages I need in different jquery-plugins. But If I'm writing including need plugin directly in some content page, I get a big lags during loading. So, now I'm includgin all plugins into main page... And it's not the best idea... Any suggestion? UPD: I have a div with content. Content is shown with effects (rolling up/down). When part of menu is clicked, I'm sending ajax-responce to the php script, which reads need text from database and returns it to the main page, from which I sent the responce. Than I'm pasting that content into a div and roll id down. So I'll include jquery-plugins in content pages, the animation of rolling will'nt be normal.

• iqueryable select/where not working

  I have two tables Boxer and Prospect. Boxers has general stuff like name and and dob etc and a BoxerId While Prospect contains only one value (at the moment) which is a boxerId. If a boxer is a prospect(up and coming boxer) there Id will be in the prospect table. This works fine but now I want to select all boxers that are prospects public static IQueryable<Boxer> IsProspect(this IQueryable<Boxer> query) { //this does not filter down to only prospects!!! return query.Where(x => x.Prospect != null); } This is the function I call using: var repository = GetRepository<Boxer>(); var boxers = repository.Query().IsProspect(); I would hope this would filter my collection of all boxers down to just boxers that are prospects! Oddly it doesnt filter it but if i hover over my boxers object and look at each boxer during debugging I can see "IsProspect" true or false correctly

  Hello, I have a form which asks the user his or her date of birth. Its a drop down box since I use the select input type. The first drop down has Months, second has Days, the third has the Years. So the format should be Month(October), Day(25), Year(1990). In other words the months spell out the actual month and not simply the number representation of the month. However, I would like to save the Day and Year in their respective formats. How can I do this in phpMyAdmin? Should I use the DATE type? what should the value be? I just need to know how to correlate all of this in phpmyadmin, so I can save it properly. Thank you.

• Can I dynamically adjust the height of a css set div border?

  Ok so I have a div that contains a few forms that have dynamically generated content. There are categories, that if you click on, slide/toggle down to reveal that categories sub-contents, or projects. Right now, I have it setup so that if the height of the div expands to exceed a set amount, a scroll bar shows up at the side, and the user can scroll down and see the content. NOW I am being asked to get rid of the scroll bar, and just have the div's border (which is just 1px set in the css) height adjust dynamically with the height of the div's content...can I even do that? Is there some sort of jquery animation that would allow that? A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

• Delphi Volume control by keyboard

  Hi All, I recently had to replace a keyboard and this one ( GE 98552 ) does not have programmable buttons along the top and I miss the up/down volume buttons. it has 9 special buttons but none for volume and this model is not programmable. DUH! I am a long-time Delphi programmer but never messed with the multimedia stuff. Can anyone suggest some code to assign to say the "+" and "-" keys on the numeric pad that will change the volume up and down? I never use those two buttons so I would not be giving up functionality.
