    Hello, I belong to Asp.Net but just starting to learn JSF. I wanted to know whether all features of MasterPage are available in JSF templating? I mean say suppose i have a menu in template, and based on roles menu changes. If the Admin logs in, he will get to show more options and if general user logs in he will get to see less options. Now i have a managed bean for my "real" page(not template). How do i use this managed bean to toggle my control in template on and Off?

  • Subversion (svn) beginner's questions

    Hello, Here's what i'm trying to do. I have a project in /var/www/project. I'd like to use svn for this project. I've installed SVN on my debian server for this purpose, but i don't understand how to use it and the googling got me even more confused. I'd like to create a repository /var/svn/project and use it. After some changes occur, i'd like to export all the code back to /var/www/project. Now here's what i've done: i've created a repository: svnadmin create /var/svn/project i've imported the code: svn import /var/www/project file:///var/svn/project -m "Initial import" i've checked out the code with "Versions" client Everything seems to work fine, but ... If i go to /var/svn/project, there are no source files from my project there or in any subdirectory. Although the svn client is able to checkout all of those files. So i've read that in svn, files are not stored separately neither in berkley db nor in fsfs filesystems. Then the question is ... how do i export the source back to /var/www/project? If i do an svn export command on the /var/svn/project directory, it says i'm not in a working copy :(

    Hi folks, first all i want to wish you a merry christmas. I am writing a small program in CUDA and i have the following errors : contraste.cu(167): error: calling a host function from a __device__/__global__ function is not allowed I don't understand why. Can you please help me and show me my errors. It seems that my program is correct. Here is a the bunch of code causing the problems : __global__ void kernel_contraste(float power, unsigned char tab_in[], unsigned char tab_out[], int nbl, int nbc) { int x = threadIdx.x; printf("I am the thread %d\n", x); } Part of my main program : unsigned char *dimg, *dimg_res; ..... cudaMalloc((void **)dimg, h * w * sizeof(char)); cudaMemcpy(dimg, r.data, h*w*sizeof(char), cudaMemcpyHostToDevice); cudaMalloc((void **)dimg_res, h*w*sizeof(char)); dim3 nbThreadparBloc(256); dim3 numblocs(1); kernel_contraste<<<numblocs, nbThreadparBloc >>>(puissance, dimg, dimg_res, h, w); cudaThreadSynchronize(); ..... cudaFree(dimg); cudaFree(dimg_res); The line 167 is the line where i call the printf in function kernel_contraste. For information, this program takes an image as an input( a sun Rasterfile ) and a power then it calculates the contraste of that image. Thanks !!

  • java beginner- in which folder should I place a "database.properties" file

    I read some tutorials on how to read data from a database.properties file- which basically stored key-value pairs. What i want to know is, in which folder should I place this file? Is it in the root (ie "src") or within a package... And how do I access this file, if it is placed in "src"- my code will be within a package (and the package's directory will be under src)- so how do I access the properties file, which is in "src", from a class within a package?

  • Beginner question about getting reference to cin

    I'm having problems wrapping my head around this. I have a function void foo(istream& input) { input = cin; } This fails (I'm assuming because cin isn't supposed to be "copyable". however, this works void foo(istream& input) { istream& baz = cin; } Is there a reason that I can get a reference to cin in baz but I cannot assign it to input?     I have followed the code example here toupper c++ example And implemented it in my own code as follows void CharString::MakeUpper() { char* str[strlen(m_pString)]; int i=0; str[strlen(m_pString)]=m_pString; char* c; while (str[i]) { c=str[i]; putchar (toupper(c)); i++; } } But this gives me the following compiler error CharString.cpp: In member function 'void CharString::MakeUpper()': CharString.cpp:276: error: invalid conversion from 'char*' to 'int' CharString.cpp:276: error: initializing argument 1of 'int toupper(int)' CharString.cpp: In member function 'void CharString::MakeLower()': This is line 276 putchar (toupper(c)); I understand that toupper is looking for int as a parameter and returns an int also, is that the problem? If so how does the example work?

    I have a paid app in the store which will remove the ads in another app when it is installed on that device. Now I want to remove this 'remove ads' app, as I want to have an in-app payement for this for instance (or maybe I just keep the ads version only). But the problem is, if I unpublish the app, people who bought it will not be able to download it again when they get a new phone or reset their phone. How to I keep the app in the Play Store, but prevent people from buying it? Is this possible? My backup plan is: make the app cost 10.000 euro's and put in the message that this app should not be bought anymore. But I don't like that...

    Hi, I've been studying SQL for 2 weeks now and I'm preparing for an SQL test. Anyway I'm trying to do this question: For the table: 1 create table data { 2 id int, 3 n1 int not null, 4 n2 int not null, 5 n3 int not null, 6 n4 int not null, 7 primary key (id) 8 } I need to return the relation with tuples (n1, n2, n3) where all the corresponding values for n4 are 0. The problem asks me to solve it WITHOUT using subqueries(nested selects/views) It also gives me an example table and the expected output from my query: 01 insert into data (id, n1, n2, n3, n4) 02 values (1, 2,4,7,0), 03 (2, 2,4,7,0), 04 (3, 3,6,9,8), 05 (4, 1,1,2,1), 06 (5, 1,1,2,0), 07 (6, 1,1,2,0), 08 (7, 5,3,8,0), 09 (8, 5,3,8,0), 10 (9, 5,3,8,0); expects (2,4,7) (5,3,8) and not (1,1,2) since that has a 1 in n4 in one of the cases. The best I could come up with was: 1 SELECT DISTINCT n1, n2, n3 2 FROM data a, data b 3 WHERE a.ID <> b.ID 4 AND a.n1 = b.n1 5 AND a.n2 = b.n2 6 AND a.n3 = b.n3 7 AND a.n4 = b.n4 8 AND a.n4 = 0 but I found out that also prints (1,1,2) since in the example (1,1,2,0) happens twice from IDs 5 and 6. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

    Hello, I am creating a website and i want to allow personalization to individual users upto some extent like changing font family, background color etc. The problem with this is that, my default css file that i load has already default classes for everything. Now when i fetch the background color from my database, then if there is null value for background color then default css class of mystylesheet.css should be loaded and if the value is not null, then i want to override this with my default css.   • Google App Engine/GWT/Eclipse Plugin Newbie Question- how to autobuild client side resources?

    Hi there, I'm tinkering with the default GWT application generated by the Google Eclipse plugin when I click the Google "New Web Application Project" button in Eclipse 3.5. This will no doubt be familiar to many of you.. basically there is an h1 title stating "Web Application Starter Project," a text field, and a Send button. What I've found is that whenever I make changes to the client side resources, e.g. change the text on the Send button to "Submit" in the .java file, Eclipse does not appear to autobuild these resources. In fact I have to rebuild the entire project in order for these changes to be reflected in my browser. I do have "build automatically" selected in eclipse. I should state that this is my second GWT project, the first was almost entirely server side (restlet on GAE) and everything built automatically nicely. When I first tried this new project with updated client resources, on refreshing my browser, the browser stated "you may need to (re)compile your project." I'm not sure if this is relevant but I thought I'd mention it all the same. So what's going on? How do I get Eclipse/GWT to autobuild these client side resources? Cheers for any help you can offer! :-)

    Hi, I have a field in my db which is a List. I add strings to that list and it works fine on the development server. This is the result: [mat12, bg10] When I do the same on the deploy server, this is the result: [u'mat12', u'bg10'] I don't understand why it adds "u' '" to the string.     Syntax question: I am using the code below to call a query in Access VBA strSQL = "INSERT INTO tblLoanDetails ([ServerName]) VALUES ('Test') WHERE [ID]=3" Call CurrentDb.Execute(strSQL) And i am getting a runtime error of "3067: Query must contain atleast one table or query." the insert statement string looks like this (Threw the var into a text box): INSERT INTO tblLoanDetails ([ServerName]) VALUES ('Test') WHERE [ID]=3 I also tried adding a semi-colon to the end but with no luck. I also double checked to make sure my table is called tblLoanDetails and my Column names are ServerName, and ID Appreciate any help.

    I am two months in to an intro sql course, it's late at night, and I am drawing a blank. I have two tables, one customers, and one orders. I have to increase any customers credit limit by twenty five percent for all customers who have made two or more orders in which each order is more than the amount of 250.00. I get how to UPDATE CreditLimit * 1.25 and Cust with an order 250, but how the hell do I get it to check if they have made two orders over 250? Second question, we are just starting to take subqueries, and I am having a difficult time getting it into my skull. Another question posed by the prof of our class is to increase the credit limit of a customer who has an order that exceeds their credit limit. (Credit limit is on a customers table, order and amount are on an orders table). I then take that customer and UPDATE his CreditLimit +1000. Thanks for any help.
