I just work on web-based application for iPhone, And I try to retrieve data from my website to my app. can I edit XML code for my website as I want to be in my iPhone app? for example, XML for my website is: <item> <title>Announcement title</title> <link>iphone feed</link> <description>Announcement type</description> <category>Students</category> <pubDate>April 5, 2010, 12:50 pm</pubDate> <guid>iphone feed</guid> </item> but I can't retrieve all of this to the tableview in my app. So, I will edit the code to be like this: <item> <category name="staff"> <Announcement title="welcome back"> <description> hope all of you enjoy in the vacation, and welcome back to university </description> </Announcement> </category> </item> Is this the right way?

  • My HTML5 web app crashes and I have no clue how to debug

    Hi All, I have written a word game using HTML5 canvas tag and a little bit of audio. I developed the application on the chrome web browser on a linux system. Recently during the testing phase it was tried on safari 5.0.3 on Mac and the webpage froze. Not just the canvas element, but interactive element on the page froze. I have at some times experienced this problem on google chrome when I was developing but since the console did not throw any error before this happened, I did not give it much credence. Now as per requirements I am supposed to support both chrome and safari but this dismal performance on safari has left me shocked and I cannot see what error can be thrown which might lead to such a situation. Worse yet the CPU usage on using this application peaks to 70-80percent on my 2yr old macbook running ubuntu... I can only but pity the person who uses mac to operate this app, which undoubtedly is a heavier OS. Could someone help me out with a place I can start with to find out what exactly is causing this issue. I have run profiles on this webapp on google chromes console and noticed that in the heap spanshot value increases steadily with the playing of the game, specifically (root) value which jumps up by 900 counts. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks EDIT: I don't know if this helps, but I have noticed that even on refreshing the page after the app becomes unresponsive the page reloads and I am still not able to interact with the page elements but the tab scroll bar continues to work and I can see my application window completely. So to summaries the tab stops accepting any sort of user interaction inside the page. Edit2: Nop. It doesn't work still... The app crashes on double click on the canvas element. The console is not throwing any errors either! =/ I have noticed this problem is isolated only to safari!

  • Upgraded Eclipse. Every app force closes

    I would be really grateful for some urgent advice:- I was merrily building my apps (using eclipse) for Android platform 2.2. Everything all working lovely and ready to upload to the marketplace. I thought I would try to install Google Play Licensing and in the process, I was told to download the LVL but that was not available in my SDK download list - and I read I had to updrage my SDK and ADT to the latest. So I did, I now have: ADT 17.0.0 along with ANDROID DDMS, hierarchy viewer and Traceview at 17.0.0 with Eclipse IDE 1.4.2 And I also upgraded my SDK Android 2.2 stuff to the latest. Now:- I have no errors in my app workplaces on Eclipse. But now when I run the apps, they build but force close straight away upon loading. This includes the app I was working on (and working perfectly before) and all the other apps I have ever made. Every app now force closes and I dont know what to do. Been up all night and was ready to upload them to the market place... :( Any help!? Thanks! Please!

    Can someone help me understand the benefits and disadvantages of each domain registrar and using them with google apps? I have used godaddy before but not enom. I just don't want to buy a bunch of domains and then later regret not changing the domain registrar when i registered them. I will also be using google app engine and i would like to ultimately have a subdomain configured to use amazon cloud front.

    Here is the lay of the land. I have an app that I have created. I uninstalled hibernate, installed app-engine plugin and am using jdo. I am able to create a domain-class but the when I run generate-all I run into the following error. Oh and I did try just generating the controller for the domain class and that seemed to work fine but then after that I try just generate-views on the same domain class and I also get the following error.     I've been looking at implementing the new VerificationController to verify in-App-Purchases: http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#releasenotes/StoreKit/IAP_ReceiptValidation/_index.html And I wonder if there is some example anywhere en how to validate a transaction, since it seems that the - (BOOL)verifyPurchase:(SKPaymentTransaction *)transaction; is not enough and it has to be implemented internally to verify the purchase when the data form the server is received. Another question is if anyone has a clue on what the KNOWN_TRANSACTIONS_KEY is and how to fill it, is it just the product id of the purchase?

    Hi there, I'm using this code to implement the like button <fb:like layout="button_count" show_faces="false" width="450"></fb:like> But when I try to click it the counter is increased for about 1 second and then it goes back to zero again. I can't see on my facebook profile that i've liked something either. Someone have a solution for this? I'm using the newest JavaScript SDk in an Google App engine/ Django environment.

    I am using Facebook Python's SDK along with Google App Engine, and making a call to do a checkin: graph.put_object("me", "checkins", message="Hello, world", place="165039136840558", coordinates='{"latitude":"38.2454064", "longitude":"-122.0434404"}') However, this throws an error 400 Bad Request and I don't seem to be able to try catch it so I can have the important information.
