    I am pretty new in SQL so this may be a stupid question... I have a form in PHP which fills in few fields in my SQL table. I have this code: $sql="INSERT INTO $tbl_name (app_name, app_path, short_desc, full_desc) VALUES ('$_POST[app_name]', '$_POST[app_path]', '$_POST[short_desc]', '$_POST[full_desc]')"; But even app_name and app_path are NOT NULL columns, the query can be executed if there is no text in these fields in the form. So, my question is: How to stop the execution of the query if there is no text in the NOT NULL fields ?

    I have the following link. On click, I'd like to check the item.primary_company field and if populated, give the user a warning and ask if they would like to continue.     I recently updated one of my models by adding a db.ListProperty(): class DependencyArcTail(db.Model): courses = db.ListProperty(db.Key) ''' newly added ''' forwardLinks = db.ListProperty(db.Key) However, I can't seem to get this to be reflected in the SDK dashboard. I cleared the datastore and reloaded it. Then I ran the procedures that create the DependencyArcTail objects. However, forwardLinks still doesn't show up as an attribute in the SDK dashboard. What's happening?

  • jQuery Validation Plugin ErrorPlacement inside two different elements

    I'm trying to place separate error messages in separate elements when validating a large form. The form is divided into jQueryUI tabs, then accordions. When there is an error in an element of a tab, I want to append a red exclamation point to the name of the tab, and if the error is in an accordion element, I also want to append the red exclamation point to the name of the accordion element. Subsequently, when the errors are corrected, I would like those red ! to be removed (exactly as the error message beneath the invalid field is removed. So: Tab1 Tab2 Accordion1 Accordion2 Tab3 If the elements in accordion 2 have an error, I want to append a red ! to accordion2 and tab2: Tab1 Tab2! Accordion1 Accordion2! Tab3 Then remove when the elements successfully validate. I've been trying forever, but I can't figure out how to conditionally change the errorElement (a label won't work for the tab and accordion, but is perfect for the actual element)... Hopefully this makes sense, and thanks for any input you can provide.

I need to store words according to 2 initial letters which is 676 combinations and each word has its number of occurrences (minimal, maximal, average) in text. I'm not sure how the model/schema should look like. There will be a lot of checking whether the keyword was already persisted. I appreciate your suggestions.     I have a model in wich i'm using m2m Django ORM feature, in order to create an aditional table to hold my 'classrom members'. My problem is: the membership to a classroom must be accepted by the invited one, so i need a boolean field :1=accepted, 0=refused/unseen yet.     In my javascript file I'm getting the content of a partial with the following call: $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: value.href.replace(actionType, actionType + 'Partial'), dataType: "html", success: function(result) { $("#DepartmentsAction").html(result); alert(result); } }); Because the partial has the call Html.EnableClientValidation() the resulting html has a static script in it. In the result variable in the ajax call this script is present. In the page where the html gets inserted (#DepartmentsAction) the script has dissapeared. What am I doing wrong?

This is especially useful when users who have many different interests and skill levels share the same database. For example, a view can be created that retrieves only the data for the customers with whom an account manager deals. The view can determine which data to retrieve based on the login ID of the account manager who uses the view. My question: For the above example , i would have to have a column named Userid/LoginId on my table on which the view is created so that i can apply a check option in the view for this column. and then if a user with a name not in that column tries to enter data , then he/she is blocked.

  • just started getting the "validation of viewstate mac" error

    I have had a site up and running for quite a while, but I've just started getting the MAC failed error. Quite often too. While coding tonight I've noticed it 4 times or so. The host (through someone else) changed servers and we've had a bunch of issues. This started happening since then. What are all the possibilities that it could be on the server end that I could ask? (I don't know all that much about IIS). Thanks!
