    Just found this, if you’re using Azure 1.1,  which you probably will be if yo'u’ve moved to Visual Studio 2010. To change the default database to something other than sqlexpress for Development Storage do this - Look at this - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd203058.aspx At the bottom it states -   Using Development Storage with SQL Server Express 2008 By default the local Windows Group BUILTIN\Administrator is not included in the SQL Server sysadmin server role on new SQL Server Express 2008 installations.  Add yourself to the sysadmin role in order to use the Development Storage Services on SQL Server Express 2008.  See SQL Server 2008 Security Changes for more information. Changing the SQL Server instance used by Development Storage By default, the Development Storage will use the SQL Express instance.  This can be changed by calling “DSInit.exe /sqlinstance:<SQL Server instance>” from the Windows Azure SDK command prompt.

    I'm so sorry because this question doesn't related to Ubuntu. I asked in Openstack forum but this forum is not very active. So I think if someone have experience with Openstack Nova can help me with my problem. I've read some explanations about nova-network and how to configure it like this one from wiki: http://wiki.openstack.org/UnderstandingFlatNetworking I'm confusing about a detail. If every traffic from the instances must go through nova controller node, then why we still need the public interface for nova-compute node? Is it necessary? What happen when a request from outside to an instance. For example I have a controller node and a nova-compute node. In nova-compute node I run an instance with a Wordpress website. Then someone connect to the public IP of this instance. So the request go directly from router to the nova-compute node or from router to controller node then nova-compute node? Thank you!

    I'm trying to deploy a Java Application to AWS free tier. I need the following: RDS provider. Using MySQL client S3 service. This is required for the Lucene Index and image uploading SES service. I need to be able to send emails to new registered users. Namecheap is my domain provider. EC2 instance Elastic Beanstalk instance. I managed to create an EC2 instance, upload the WAR file and link it to the Namecheap domain. However I find it difficult to link the other instances to the current application. I find the documentation a little messy and I can't find the right way to do this. Can you provide a simple walk through to deployment for this use case? Thanks!

  • Wordpress Multisite (Subfolders) - Google Analytics Tracking

    I have a Wordpress multisite subfolder instance that I would like to track via Google Analytics. I guess optimally this would be a plugin which I could track each site in two places The Main Tracking Code which totals all traffic from the Multisite instance The Individual Site tracking code to see how each site specifically is doing. I think this plugin would have worked for me if I had a subdomain multisite instance: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-multisite-async/installation/ I know I can manually place the dual tracking code (http://www.markinns.com/articles/full/adding_two_google_analytics_accounts_to_one_page) but that would involve editing a theme and I have multiple sites using TwentyEleven template. I don't think I can edit the theme and not have it wreak havoc on the rest of the sites using TwentyEleven. So has anyone done this? Is there a a technique I'm missing? Is there a plugin available to do this in Multisite Subfolder installations? Is there a way to manually insert GA codes into themes which are used by multiple sites? Any insight is appreciated.

  • Vertex data split into separate buffers or one one structure?

    Is it better to have all vertex data in one structure like this: class MyVertex { int x,y,z; int u,v; int normalx, normaly, normalz; } Or to have each component (location, normal, texture coordinates) in separate arrays/buffers? To me it always seemed logical to keep the data grouped together in one structure because they'd always be the same for each instance of a shared vertex and that seems to be true for things like character models (ex: the normal should be an average of adjacent normals for smooth lighting). One instance where this doesn't seem to work is other kinds of meshes like say a cube where the texture coordinates for each may be the same but that causes them to be different where the vertices are shared. Does everybody normally keep them separate? Won't this make them less space efficient if there needs to be an instance of texture coordinates and normals for each triangle vertex (They won't be indexed)? Can OpenGL even handle this mixing of indexed (for location) vs non-indexed buffers in the same VBO?

    I am struggling to wrap my head around being able to share an object between two classes. I want to be able to create only one instance of the object, commonlib in my main class and then have the classes, foo1 and foo2, to be able to mutually share the properties of the commonlib. commonlib is a 3rd party class which has a property Queries that will be added to in each child class of bar. This is why it is vital that only one instance is created. I create two separate queries in foo1 and foo2.     I am using Quickly and created the main window and a dialog. In the main window I am setting access to database (u1db) in the finish_initializing method (self.db=...). After an action I open a dialog where I need access to the database. I thought that I can use self.get_parent() in the dialog to get instance of the main window and access the database, but return value of the get_parent() is None. My question is, how can I access the instance of the parent window in the dialog or perhaps where should I place the instance of the database wrapper?     Let's say that we have a structure like this: Application -- Modules --Module1 -- Controller -- PublicHelper --Module2 -- Controller -- PublicHelper Whereby a module's Public Helper can provide helper functions. In nearly every module helper, the helper needs to access another module's public helper methods. Let's say for instance, in a PHP application: Module1 provides functionality to create a sale, and as part of the class Module1PublicHelper extends AbstractModuleHelper { public function createSale($customerId, $param, $param) { $userPublicHelper = // grab an instance of the user public helper $currentUser = $userPublicHelper->getCurrentUser(); } } class Module2PublicHelper extends AbstractModuleHelper { public function getCurrentUser() { //do something return $user; } } In this situation, the method needs to obtain an instance, either new or whatever of the user public helper. Given that all of Module Public Helper classes are instantiated with a minimum set of constructor params, e.g. EntityManager, what would be the best way to get a copy of it? Obviously, we can't really inject the user public helper class into the class containing createSale One solution would be to use a service locator or registry, however, testing the application isn't exactly easy.

However, whenever I mount a Truecrypt Volume and double-click that, it looks like this: Is there any way to default to the first view option for all types of folders?   • Adding default command line options when opening a particular filetype

    I'd like to make it so that whenever I open a particular file type (by double clicking it in explorer) it always opens the associated program with particular command line options. So, for example, when double clicking a .tex file I want it to not only open it with emacs (which is easy to set up just by going into "Open With"), but run emacs with the command line option "-fs".   • Hashed pattern in bargraphs - MS excel

    I am drawing graphs for a paper that supports only black and white graphs. I need to show more than 3 histograms and want to have different patterns on them like hash, dotted, double hashed etc instead of different colors in the legend. I am using MS Excel 2007. I tried but dont find a way except for the option available in design tab that I find when I double click on the chart area( These are shades of grey color and I want patterns like hashing, dots etc).     Hello, Ive got a MS Chart control and it works just fine except that I can't figure out how to "format" the Y-Axis. I am adding a lot of double numbers into a Serie but when the double numb are actually whole numbers (20.000000.....) the Y-Axis on my chart shows 20. example: this serie : 12.32 11.00 10.13 would actually show up like this: 12.32 11 10.13 I have tried formatting the data as I insert it into the serie like this: serie.Points.AddXY(date.ToString(),double[i].ToString("##.##")); but that doesn't seem to work. I've tried to search for a place to format it in Chart.Series[0].* and Chart.ChartAreas[0].* but I didn't find it there. Thanks in advance, Regards, Birgir Hrafn

  • jQuery UI sortable('cancel') - this.helper is null

    I am trying to disable a sortable element from sorting when it has been double clicked. When I try to disable it, even without a condition, it gives me the error 'this.helper is null'. $('.roundedBox:first', division).sortable({ start: function( event, ui ) { if( true === true ) { $(this).sortable('cancel'); } $(this).parent().data( 'sorting', true ); }, stop: function() { $(this).parent().data( 'sorting', false ); }, items: '.department', update: function() {}, placeholder: 'department-placeholder' }) Any ideas on how I can do this? I don't need it to be this method. Literally anything thing that stops it will work. The problem is, sorting starts on a single click, but I have another action bound to double click. If it's double clicked, I don't want it to drag.

  • Getting DataBinder Item's max value

    I'm working at the aspx page, and the following code is inserted in a Repeater control: <%# ((System.Collections.Generic.List<double>)DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "BookPrices")).Max() %> Brings up the following error: 'System.Collections.Generic.List<double>' does not contain a definition for 'Max' List does have an method of Max(), so I'm possibly messing up my code somehow. What is my problem? BookPrices is a list<double> object, which I'd like to print it's maximum value. P.S. You guys are great! I didn't find answers for many of my questions on the web. You really are life savers. Thank you very much! :)
