  • Google Charts POLY problem with VS 2010 image map

    Hi I am using http://code.google.com/apis/chart/docs/gallery/googleometer_chart.html I have: <img src="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=bvg&chs=250x150&chd=s:egbdf&chxt=x,y&chxs=0,ff0000,12,0,lt|1,0000ff,10,1,lt&chm=o,000000,0,-1,10|V,000000,0,-1,1:15,,:4:10|H,000000,0,-1,3:9,,:8:17&chxl=0:|E|G|B|D|F" usemap ="#chart" /> <map name='chart'> <area name='bar0_0' shape='POLY' coords= '124,440,124,499,143,440,143,498' href='#'> <area name='bar0_1' shape='RECT' coords='55,129,78,63' href='#'> </map> When I use 'rect' for shape I can attach a click event etc but when I use 'poly' It doesn't work. I've use a jQuery mouse position plug in to check the coords and they seem ok. Can anyone help please? Thanks

  • Couldn't get connection factory client - fighting with Google Maps

    another day another problem, I finally managed to set up correctly google maps on my android application, or at least I thought I've done it, the whole progam starts, it even call the class which should "print" a map, but the only thing I can see is a grid with google label on it [ in the corner ]. I've checked the dalvik monitor and the error E/MapActivity(394): Couldn't get connection factory client occurs. I've find out on stackoverflow website that I should sent a gps signal or sth like this from dalvik monitor, and I've done it.     Is it possible to write a Google Wave plugin that turns it into an IDE for programming? With such an extension, Google Wave would be a replacement for Eclipse etc., and it would naturally be a code repository at the same time (replacing SVN, git, etc.). Users (programmers) would be able to create code files directly in Wave and add collaborators to do pair programming etc. The whole codebase would live in a Wave folder, and an extension would do the building and compiling on the fly. How would one go about writing such an extension?

  • change the class loading order google app engine java

    I am trying to create an application on google app engine using struts2. Struts2 internally uses freemarker .One of the Freemarker framework classes suppose X internally uses a class javax.swing.Treenode which is not in google app engine jre white list. Now in order to run my application i created a new class X in the same package structure as it was in freemarker framework and copied the class to WEB-INF classes.Then When i run my application it run fine. The problem is that i want to take out the class X from my application sourcecode and move it to newly created jar and place it in WEB-INF/lib folder. So that i can reuse the code in multiple project and my code remains clean of the freemarker code. But when i run the application it picks the old class X from the original freemarker framework.As a result i get ClassNotFoundException. Can anyone provide any help such that i can change the ClassLoading order such that my jar containing X class loads first.

    Hello, I've used "Google AJAX Transliteration API" and it's going well with me. http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlanguage/documentation/referenceTransliteration.html Currently I've a project that I need all input fields in every page (input & textarea tags) to be transliteratable, while these input fields differs from page to page (dynamic). As I know, I've to call makeTransliteratable(elementIds, opt_options) method in the API call to define which input fields to make transliteratable, and in my case here I can't predefine those fields manually.   • Using Google AppEngine app as a OAuth provider

    Hi, I'm using the Google AppEngine 1.3.4 SDK which offers to allow your application to act as a OAuth service provider (http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/python/oauth/). Setting up a standard application on my localhost and using the following: Request URL /_ah/OAuthGetRequestToken Authorize URL /_ah/OAuthAuthorizeToken Access Token URL /_ah/OAuthGetAccessToken The client application just gets sent to a page requesting to grant OAuth access even though no user is logged in. Clicking 'Grant access' results in a message saying 'OAuth access granted' with no tokens or anything exchange. Can't see how this could work when it's not even prompting for a login. As this functionality is quite new I can't find much out there. I've created a OAuth provider before in Rails and know that you need a Consumer Key and Secret, something that seems to be lacking in GAE? Any ideas on how to get OAuth working in a sample GAE project are most welcome.

    Super nub question time! I am trying to use simplejson on the google appengine. In a terminal on my machine I have simplejson installed and working. But my when I try to import it in a script running on the appengine I get an error saying no such library exists. If open the interactive console on my machine (from the link on http://localhost:8080/_ah/admin) and type "import simplejson" I get: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/chris/google_appengine/google/appengine/ext/admin/init.py", line 210, in post exec(compiled_code, globals()) File "", line 1, in ImportError: No module named simplejson Any thoughts?

My requirement is like I want to pass post codes to maps.google.com and it should return a related latitude and longitude of that pointed location, that I want to store in my database.     I'm trying to create my first custom Google Gadget to be used privately in my company's Google Sites intranet. Ideally I'd like to just show a thumbnail that the user can click that will open a modal window with the full video. This requires my including a couple of small JS libraries in my widget. For my widget I created this XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Module> <ModulePrefs title="Video Demos" /> <Content view="url" href="http://www.website.com/_gadgets/video.php"> </Content> </Module> The "video.php" page has simple HTML on it and includes two JS files for the modal window using but doesn't work. Are you not able to include external scripts like this? If not, what are my options here?

    I'm developing a small pet project on Google App Engine and i would like to keep code under source control using github; this will allow a friend of mine to checkout and modify the sources. I just have a directory with all sources (call it PetProject) and Google App Engine development server points to that directory. Is it correct to create a repo directly from PetProject directory or is it preferable to create a second directory mirroring the develop PetProject directory? In the latter case, anytime my friend will release something new, i need to pull fetch from Git copying the modified files to the develop PetProject directory. If i decide to keep the repo inside the develop directory, skipping .git on Gae yaml is enough? What are the best practices here?

    For my Grails application I want to set up Google Analytics to track only "partial" url's. I 'll explain: a typical Grails url consists of the following parts: domain + application-name + controller + action + id e.g. www.mydomain.com/myapp/controller/action/12345 As far as I understand for Google Analytics the page to be tracked is identified by the entire url. For my purpose I'm not interested in the id part of the url: I want to know which actions have been performed, but I need not know for which id the action was executed. And of course I would like a generic solution, because I have multiple controllers and multiple actions... Maybe some kind of filter stating "I want to track pages 3 levels deep (/myapp/controller/action)" would do? Or a filter stating "exclude everything from url after the last /"? I have tried using Rome and keep getting the following error (tried googling without success), also the code I am running that generates the error is the demo code (so I get the feeling Rome won't work with GAE) java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jdom/JDOMException at com.sun.syndication.io.SyndFeedOutput.<init>(SyndFeedOutput.java:44) What I am looking for is recommendations for a simple Java library to create and publish an Atom feed from within Google App Engine.
