    Came across this error today. Wondering if anyone can tell me what it means: Cannot sort a row of size 9522, which is greater than the allowable maximum of 8094. Is that 8094 bytes? Characters? Fields? Is this a problem joining multiple tables that are exceeding some limit?

  • file upload using progress element in HTML 5

    I am using progress element while displaying the progress of a file upload in javascript. But the problem that I am facing is it is not completely loading huge file.when I checked evet.total attribute it gives the total size of the file in bytes.But when it loads physically event.loaded attribute loads only 70 to 75 %.So I want to know is there any pre-requisite when use progress event? Has anybody faced this kind of issue before?.Thanks in advance.

    Hi! I'm learning C right now and so I'm fiddling about with pointers. Is there a way to determine the word width of the CPU in C because I'm writing a small program which prints it's own stack (Because I'm curious how it is structured), so that information would come in handy. Right now I'm using an int pointer, as an integer is 4 Bytes wide and I'm using a 32-bit Intel Atom CPU. Thanks in advance, C gurus ;o)

    How can I detect if a file is binary or a plain text? Basically my .NET app is processing batch files and extracting data however I don't want to process binary files. As a solution I'm thinking about analysing first X bytes of the file and if there are more unprintable characters than printable characters it should be binary. Is this the right way to do it? Is there nay better implementation for this task?

    I want to do AES CBC encryption in Java. I'm using javax.crypto. After I have the Cipher initialized, do I only need to call doFinal on the clear bytes to properly encrypt it? Or do I need to do something with update? Documentation says update: Continues a multiple-part encryption or decryption operation and doFinal Encrypts or decrypts data in a single-part operation, or finishes a multiple-part operation what exactly do they mean by multiple-part encryption?

    I have an application which I'm adding pictures and these are automatically converted to binary and stored in a single file. how can I save several images, I keep in an XML file start and size of each set of refente to an image byte. But it has several images in bytes, whenever I try to select a different set of bytes just opening the same image. I would like your help to be able to fix this and open different images.     Is there a way to print the layout of a C++ object using the g++ compiler or any other means. A simplified example (assuming int takes 4 bytes) class A{ int a; }; class B:public A{ int b; } so the output would be A - 0 4 + a + B- 0 4 8 + A.a + b + It would be useful to understand the layout of objects (in my case virtual machine code).     According to Instruments 'Net Bytes' of my app are never more than 2MB yet sometimes I receive memory warning and the app crashes because some views on the stack are unloaded by force. I'd like to know what is the typical memory footprint where system would not send you memory warning and unload the views ? I have so far tried this on OS 3.1.2 on iphone 3GS and 3G and with 3G giving warning almost 80% of the time I test the app on it.

    Windows XP, IE 7 If the data in one of the column in table is more than say 800 bytes, it seems to print partial pages. Previews also appears same (span into multiple partial pages). What is the best way so that large number of rows with wide coulumns (fixed width) are printed properly without giving blank or partial page. Used table with thead and colgroup with width in 14%.

    i have a form that submits data to a database, i have a function that looks like this: //connect foreach ($_POST as $key => $value) { $_POST[$key] = mysql_real_escape_string($value); } now when i post, SOMETIMES i get an error that says this: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted i figured out that when i do a linebreak, or press enter in the message field, then that is when it causes the error, otherwise it works normal. any ideas?

    This is a statement referring to problem caused by page fault:(from Silberschatz 7th ed P-310 last para) 'We cant simply restart instructions when instruction modifies several different location Ex:when a instruction moves 256 bytes from source to dest and either src or dest straddles on page boundary , then,after a partial move, if a page fault occurs, 'we can't simply restart the instructions' My question is Why not? Simply restart the instruction again do the same copy after page is in. Is there any problem in it?

The problems is that with Python 3.x the first like will generate an error: NameError: name 'file' is not defined How can I make this work on Python 3.x? PS.
