• Replacing text with variables

  I have to send out letters to certain clients and I have a standard letter that I need to use. I want to replace some of the text inside the body of the message with variables. Here is my maturity_letter models.py class MaturityLetter(models.Model): default = models.BooleanField(default=False, blank=True) body = models.TextField(blank=True) footer = models.TextField(blank=True) Now the body has a value of this: Dear [primary-firstname], AN IMPORTANT REMINDER… You have a [product] that is maturing on [maturity_date] with [financial institution]. etc Now I would like to replace everything in brackets with my template variables. This is what I have in my views.py so far: context = {} if request.POST: start_form = MaturityLetterSetupForm(request.POST) if start_form.is_valid(): agent = request.session['agent'] start_date = start_form.cleaned_data['start_date'] end_date = start_form.cleaned_data['end_date'] investments = Investment.objects.all().filter(maturity_date__range=(start_date, end_date), plan__profile__agent=agent).order_by('maturity_date') inv_form = MaturityLetterInvestments(investments, request.POST) if inv_form.is_valid(): sel_inv = inv_form.cleaned_data['investments'] context['sel_inv'] = sel_inv maturity_letter = MaturityLetter.objects.get(id=1) context['mat_letter'] = maturity_letter context['inv_form'] = inv_form context['agent'] = agent context['show_report'] = True Now if I loop through the sel_inv I get access to sel_inv.maturity_date, etc but I am lost in how to replace the text. • Javascript variables are not working

  Hi, my problem is that my variables are not working in javascript. all variables need names without some character at the beginning, this is the stupid thing...Anyways, im trying to make a funtion that makes "select all checkboxes".   Hello, I am currently trying to write functional tests for a charging form which gets loaded on to the page via AJAX(jQuery). It loads the form from the charge_form action which returns the consult_form.js.erb view. This all works, but I am having trouble with my testing. In the functional I can go to the action but I cannot use assert_select to find a an element and verify that the form is in fact there. Error: 1) Failure: test_should_create_new_consult(ConsultsControllerTest) [/test/functional/consults_controller_test.rb:8]: Expected at least 1 element matching "h4", found 0. <false> is not true.   I want to put a space after all the headers using CSS. Like this: if h1 = add a space after else if h1 + h2 = add a space after also but no space in between This is my HTML code <article> <h1>Title 1</h1> ... </article> <article> <h1>Title 1</h1> <h2>Title 2</h2> ... </article> For the CSS h1, h2 { padding-bottom: 20px; } The problem is, there is a space also between h1 and h2. I tried this code below but only those articles with h1 and h2 have a space after. h1 + h2 { padding-bottom: 20px;} Is there a way to do this? Or I should just use the h1 + h2 in CSS and add < br for h1 only?

What I need to do is to access an array called $xml_array like this: $xml_array['response']['items']['item'] When I write it in the code it works. The thing is that I want it to be done on the fly. The only solution I found until now was to set $IPT -P INPUT ACCEPT and $IPT -I INPUT -i eth0 -j ACCEPT, but this configuration does not protect me of any attack, which is a great shame for a firewall. I suspect that the error comes from my script and not from iptables, but I don't understand what's wrong with my script. Could some do-gooder explain me my error, please? The result proved unexpected : while the server was unavailable to SSH connections, even already established, I ping-flooded it from another server, and the ping rate was restricted to 10 requests per second. During this test, I also tried to open new SSH connections, which remained unanswered until the script flushed rules. iptables, but SSH rules were not. This does not make any sense... Does somebody understand where my error comes from? EDIT #3 : After some more tests, I found out that commenting the SYN flood countermeasure removes the problem. I continue researches in this way but, meanwhile, if somebody sees my anti SYN flood rule error...

• List repositories from multiple projects in Trac using mod_python

  Currently working on a customized webpage that shows the available projects I have in Trac (1.0.1). I am using mod_python to connect the trac interface. I found a standard page for this, but it didn't show listing of repositories. The page showed some variables to link to the different projects, but I can't find variables to the different repositories inside the projects. After searching through the files it seemed like main.py had something to do with the variables (/usr/local/Trac-1.0.1/trac/web/main.py), but at first look it didn't seem easy to just add more variables. Is there a simple way to find the rest of the variables ? And how hard is it to add more variables? Will it perhaps be easier to do this an alternative way ? All I need is to link to the repositories dynamically

• Setting font size of Closed Captions on iPhone using ffmpeg or mencoder

  Does anyone know how to either: Make ffmpeg set subtitle font size in the output video file Make mencoder produce an iPhone-compatible video file (with subtitles) I finally found out how to get Closed Captions video on iPhone, with mkv and srt files as source material. The secret was using the mov_text subtitle codec in ffmpeg (and turning on Closed Captions in the iPhone settings of course): ffmpeg -y -i in.mkv -i in.srt -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 1:0 -vcodec copy -acodec aac -ab 256k -scodec mov_text -strict -2 -metadata title="Title" -metadata:s:s:0 language=eng out.mp4 However, the font size appears very small on the iPhone, and I can't find out how to set it with ffmpeg (the iPhone has no option for this). I found out that mencoder has a -subfont-text-scale option, but I don't have a lot of experience with this program. The following, my best attempt so far, produces an output file which is not playable on the iPhone. sudo port install mplayer +mencoder_extras +osd mencoder in.mkv -sub in.srt -o out.mp4 -ovc copy -oac faac -faacopts br=256:mpeg=4:object=2 -channels 2 -srate 48000 -subfont-text-scale 10 -of lavf -lavfopts format=mp4 PS!
