• How to get MySite navigation bar to show up on a sub-site that is also using the mysite.master page

  Hi, We have a created a subsite to the SharePoint 2010 Mysite (used blank site) called "home". This site uses the mysite.master master page. The problem is the top link (navigation) bar from MySite is not showing up on the subsite... Any ideas? If I open the home site in Share Point Designer - the navigation bar does show up... But not in the browser... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Terry

Only good option I've seen so far is joomla CMS. Just want to get an opinion of the community on which tools they have used for these purposes. • Does Microsoft still sell FAST ESP?

  I wanted some information about FAST ESP search engine. After failing to get any response from the email query system on Microsoft site I called their ore-sales phone number. The person there told me the only way they sell FAST ESP is as a bundled product with SharePoint. That really does not make any sense and contradicts all the PDF documents they have about FAST ESP on their site. Does anyone know who to contact at Microsoft to discuss this product?

  Hi Everybody, I have saved a site as tempalte (i.e. MyMarketing.stp) and added to sharepoint server using stsadm addtemplate command and after few days lost MyMarketing.stp file. Now it is available for creating top level sites as well. I want to get this site template back as MyMarketing.stp file. Is it possible to extract it from the server as MyMarketing.stp file? • Can Visual Studio 2010 Test .net 3.5 SP1 Projects?

  I have some projects in a solution that are running on .net 3.5 SP1 (and can never ever be updated to 4.0 as they are SharePoint projects). When I try to create a new Visual C# Test Project in VS2010 Premium, I have to choose .net 4.0 which is apparently intended. Now I don't care about what my Unit Test project is (don't have to care about VS2008 users), but I do care if I can safely test 3.5 Projects in it due to the different CLRs and slight C# language differences?

• copy an element as HTML to clipboard

  I've managed to write some jQuery to find an element and copy it's html to the clipboard (ie only). The problem is that when I paste this into a rich text box area in sharepoint it pastes the HTML as text only. How do i replicate the user action of highlighting a link on a page and pressing copy. When I do this manually and then paste the clipboard contents the rich text area realises that it is markup and replicates the link as an anchor in the text content.

  I have some decimal data that I am pushing into a SharePoint list where it is to be viewed. I'd like to restrict the number of significant figures displayed in the result data based on my knowledge of the specific calculation. Sometimes it'll be 3, so 12345 will become 12300 and 0.012345 will become 0.0123. Occasionally it will be 4 or 5. Is there any convenient way to handle this?
