The question is about the first 3 lines: are those comparisons guaranteed to be on the primitive int, with the Integer auto-unboxed? Are there cases where the primitive would be auto-boxed instead, and reference identity comparisons are performed? (which would all then be false!)

• conditional while loop in php?

  I'm pretty sure there's an obvious answer for this-- hoping someone can help me-- I need to do a PHP while loop, but only if a variable is true. And I can't really put the while loop in an "if" statement, which seems like the obvious thing to do, since the code block is huge and it would be ugly and confusing. Do I need to break out the code in the loop into a function, or is there an easier way to deal with this? Here's the basic idea: if(condition){ while(another_condition){ //huge block of code loops many times } } else { // huge block of code runs once } I want the huge block of code to execute regardless of the state of the condition variable-- but only to execute once if condition is false, and execute for as long as another_condition is true if condition is true. Hope that's clear! The following code doesn't work, but gives an idea of what I want to accomplish: if(condition){ while(another_condition){ } // huge block of code if (condition){ } } // closes the while loop-- obviously throws an error though! thanks in advance.

• Selenium selected option in dropdown not displayed correctly

  I have the following issue with Selenium Webdriver. There are two dropdown menus on a page i am testing "brand" and "items". The options of "items" depend on which brand you choose. I am trying to iterate through all possible choices and print brand-item pairs. I use two possible ways to pick an option from each dropdown menu Using Select(): def retryingSelectOption(name,n): result=False attempts=0 while attempts<5: try: element=Select(driver.find_element_by_name(name)) element.select_by_index(n) print element.all_selected_options[0].text result=True break except StaleElementReferenceException: pass attempts+=1 return result And using .click(): def retryingClickOption(name,n): result=False attempts=0 while attempts<5: try: driver.find_element_by_name(name).find_elements_by_tag_name("option")[n].click() result=True break except StaleElementReferenceException: pass attempts+=1 return result My problem is that at ,what seem to me as random moments (sometimes it works sometimes it does not), even though the above functions return True and printing out the selected option shows me the correct answer, the browser still displays the previous option. So basically Selenium tells me i have picked the right option but the browser displays the previous one.No idea what is wrong.

  It it possible to enable validation in an ASP.NET GridView purely declaratively? What I've tried: A GridView bound to an ObjectDataSource with SelectMethod and UpdateMethod defined The GridView contains some ReadOnly BoundField columns and a TemplateField whose EditTemplate contains a TextBox and a RegularExpressionValidator that only allows numeric input in the TextBox. The GridView also contains a CommandField with ShowEditButton=true and CausesValidation=true. If I click on Edit, enter an invalid value, then click on Save, there is a PostBack, and an exception is thrown in the server (Input string was not in a correct format). • PHP cURL: get headers only from post

  There ought to be a way of sending a post request and getting back just the headers. $ch = curl_init('http://www.stackoverflow.com/'); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_NOBODY, true); doesn't work, because all setting CURLOPT_NOBODY does is to change the request method to HEAD, thereby overriding CURLOPT_POST. I could just leave the last of these lines out and only process the headers, but is there a more efficient way? It's also odd that there doesn't seem to be a way in cURL to truncate the received content to a specified length as there is with file_get_contents.

  My language ID is 'id'. I used localized humanize library for my Django template tags and use the naturaltime, but the translation is partially wrong. The now translated to sekarang is right. second to detik. minute to menit, but when it comes to date, week, or months, the word is not translated to my language. It keeps printing date, week, and months. • trying to set a dropdown in MVC

  I almost have this solved but need a little push. Here's what I have: In the database I have a field called active that is a bit field (True/False) I have placed a dropdownlist on the View form like this: <%= Html.DropDownList("lstActive", new SelectList((IEnumerable)ViewData["ActiveList"])) %> In my controller, I simply have this code to generate the True/False in the dropdown: List<string> activeList = new List<string>(); activeList.Add("True"); activeList.Add("False"); ViewData["ActiveList"] = new SelectList(activeList); I want to bind to the field in the database called active and select it in the dropdown. When I view it like this I get this: So the questions are these: Obviously I am not pointing to the Value and Text property but what is that in this case? And how do I select the value that is in the database? Any help would be appreciated.

• Prevent Excel from evaluating unneeded expressions in OR()

  IF(OR(ISNA(MATCH(8,B10:B17,0)),MATCH(8,B10:B17,0)>8),"",...BLAH...) I understand how to fix this problem by rearranging my formula. I have it the way it is to show this point. You can see the OR() statement checks to see if the first MATCH() returns NA. When it does, OR() should automatically return TRUE and not evaluate the second MATCH() because conditions have been met for the OR() to return true no matter what other arguments there are. You'll notice that the first and second MATCH() functions do the same thing. What's happening is the entire function is returning NA because the second MATCH() is executing even though it doesn't have to, the OR() has been satisfied with one TRUE, therefore the function should return "". Is this a bug or is this intentional?

  I have a model in wich i'm using m2m Django ORM feature, in order to create an aditional table to hold my 'classrom members'. My problem is: the membership to a classroom must be accepted by the invited one, so i need a boolean field :1=accepted, 0=refused/unseen yet.   I'm using a database link to execute a DELETE statement on another DB, but the DB link name doesn't conform to global naming, and this requirement cannot change. Also I have global_names set to false, and cannot be changed either. When I try to use these links however, I receive: ORA-02069: - global_names parameter must be set to TRUE for this operation Cause: A remote mapping of the statement is required but cannot be achieved because GLOBAL_NAMES should be set to TRUE for it to be achieved. - Action: Issue `ALTER SESSION SET GLOBAL_NAMES = TRUE` (if possible) What is the alternative action when setting global_names=true is not possible?   Hi, I have jquery working on my Rails app using the gem 'jquery-rails'. I also have a search form working correctly. However, when I add :remote => true the form stops working. <%= form_tag services_path, :method => :get, :remote => true do %> <%= text_field_tag :search, params[:search] %> <%= submit_tag "Search", :name => nil %> </div> <% end %> I have also added a index.js.erb but it has no effect on it. For some reason the :remote = true makes the form to stop working. Any reason why? Thanks

I need to make a Select Query, which will select all fields except for boolean ones, and a new virtual field (ex: FirstTrueBool) whose value will equal to the name of the first TRUE Boolean Field.
