  Currently im setting up TortoiseSVN and reading through docs etc. The manual often mentions svnadmin. I figured out, that I have to download it seperatly. But the link seems to be old. After some browsing I got here. But I can't find a version 1.6.7, like my TortoiseSVN installation. Also I'm a little bit lost, because of the many files. So where can I get svnadmin from?

• Sysprep and Capture task sequence failing using MDT 2010

  I have created a Windows Deployment Services server in Windows 2008 R2. When I originally set it up I was able to successfully use MDT 2010 to create my boot images as well as creating task sequences that would sysprep and capture, and deploy my custom .wim files. Everything was working perfectly. About a month later I boot up my Windows 7 x86 image and run Windows updates to keep my image up to date. I then go and run my sysprep and capture task sequence and I get the following errors: I searched online for the cause of this error message and it just seems to be a generic permission denied type of error message. I then decided to completely rebuild my VM image from scratch and try again. I am still getting the same error messages as before. The following is what I have tried troubleshooting this issue: Troubleshooting: I have ensured that that UAC and the firewall is turned completely off when trying to capture the image. I have tried recreating the task sequence and making sure that the deployment share is updated. I have ensured that the local Administrator account is enabled and has the same password as specified in the task sequence. I have tried joining the computer to the domain and running the task sequence and I get a different error: I have attempted to run the script from the command prompt with "Run as Administrator" and I still receive the same errors above. For testing purposes I have ensured that Everyone has read/write access to my deployment share. I have spent days on trying to resolve this to no avail. Any ideas? • Facebook Iframe App with multiple pages in Safari Session Variables not persisting

  I have a facebook Iframe application with multiple PHP pages in it. I have some links that point relatively to the files inside my "iframe folder". Having some issues with session variables inside the iframe. I set some session variables but they do not persist from one page to another. This does work on other browsers. I've been reading that Safari does not support Cross-Domain cookies and this might be the problem , but im not sure how to fix this. Any help?

• How to generate and print large XPS documents in WPF?

  I would like to generate (and then print or save) big XPS documents (400 pages) from my WPF application. We have some large amount of in-memory data that needs to be written to XPS. How can this be done without getting an OutOfMemoryException? Is there a way I can write the document in chunks? How is this usually done? Should I not be using XPS for large files in the first place? The root cause of the OutOfMemoryException seems to be the creation of the huge FlowDocument. I am creating the full FlowDocument and then sending it to the XPS document writer. Is this the wrong approach?

• Serving static content from cookie less domain and mod_deflate

  I have two domain. One domain with my main website and the other with js/css/etc.. files, static content. mod_deflate is enabled for both domains, but when i run ySlow in FireFox it says none of my static content is compressed. When i bring back the js or css file to my normal domain it gets compressed right. Only when its served from the other domain is it not compressed. Do i have to do some more configuration for this to work? I am using this line in my .htaccess file AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/x-javascript text/css text/html text/xml text/plain application/x-httpd-php I tried to but the line in my httpd.conf file but it gives me the same results. PS. If this is more of a serverfault question i am sorry for this. But i see a lot of questions here concerning mod_deflate and ySlow

  Hello, I am using windows script host for some kind of installer application and I'm creating shortcuts in start menu with it. This problem came up when I switched to x64 environment (win7 ultimate x64+vs2010) I added a reference to Windows Script Host Object Model (from c:\windows\syswow64\wshom.ocx), it generated Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary dll. I added 'using IWshRuntimeLibrary;' to my .cs files, but when I tried to create WshShell sh = new WshShellClass(); it throws an exception: Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. I assume that I would need 64-bit version of that wshom.ocx for this to work, but I don't know what should I try. Or I'll just dump Windows Script stuff, but I need another way to create start menu shortcuts from .net application. Thanks

  When I upload a photo, my model fails validation, err well even without any validations I'm returned this error: /tmp/stream20100103-13830-ywmerx-0 is not recognized by the 'identify' command. and /tmp/stream20100103-13830-ywmerx-0 is not recognized by the 'identify' command. I'm confident this is not related to ImageMagick because I've removed any image processing from the uploading, also I've tried uploading different mime types, like .txt files and the such.   What is the best way to do complex reporting on subversion logs like the following for each file? file, directory, last revision date, previous revision date(where revision date is at least 30 older than last), days diff(between revision dates) Since Subversion allows on revision to change multiple files I assume svn log needs to be run against each file individually. Ideas (that don't seem very good): Shell scripting to produce a csv file to be imported to a DB. The following is a start but doesn't show the filename: find . -name "." -print | xargs -l svn log -l 2 Shell scripting to produce XML and then use XSLT to create CSV to import to a DB. It might use a similar command to above but would still have some of the same limitation. Write a program to just parse the log on the whole directory tree, make one insert to DB per revision/file combination, and then query the DB.

• Ruby/Rails display general screen when modifications being performed on server

  I have a ruby on rails app running a server and sometimes it needs to be taken down for updates/etc. As of now, one way I see to have a general display screen during update periods (when the app is down) is to substitute the files within /srv/www/ directory to just have it display a general screen everywhere that the user could possibly navigate to. I also thought of having a central controller file that connects all others (essentially a main) but this seems counter intuitive for rails. There are many external links to these different components of the site that the user could navigate to from outside and I need to make sure that they always receive this general update screen when the app is taken down for a little. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.... maybe a library or something like that, I can't seem to find anything online. any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

• Why won't Windows Installer use the UI in the .msi file during removal?

  Has anyone been able to get Windows Installer to use the InstallUISequence table during removal? I started with an MSI file produced by the Visual Studio msi builder, decompiled it into WiX source code and handcrafted it, but I cannot get the installer to use my UI during removal. It insists on using a default UI provided by Windows Installer. I have also analyzed several MSI files, and I have been unable to find one where Windows Installer will use the provided UI during removal. I captured the msiexec logs during removal, and sure enough, Windows Installer appears to be ignoring the InstallUISequence table. It seems that msiexec runs with minimal UI during removal. If I specify the /qf switch (use full UI) during removal, then Windows Installer does take the UI from the .msi file. However, this doesn't help the regular user, because she won't do the removal from msiexec. Does anyone know of a way to convince Windows Installer to use the UI in the MSI file by default?

  I have got an(other) error while trying to upgrade our large project to SL4. I didn't write the original theme and my theme knowlege isn't great.   Does anyone know of a step by step process of setting up a ColdFusion 9 cluster using IIS 7.5? Either failover or network load balance would be nice. Without IIS being clusterable in Windows 2008 R2, I'm not sure of the best means to configure the web server and ColdFusion service. Some of the things I'm looking for are..... With load balancing, what do you use out in front of the servers as a load balancer?   Basically I could upload files based on a project. Whenever I create a project, a new directory is created with the directory name as the project_name e.g. this is a test - this-is-a-test. • How to debug manifest errors?

  I am creating an application that depends on third-party library, which in turn depends on MSVCP90D.dll (it was compiled with debug symbols). While starting the application it fails to start and provides an error message: I have found such library in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\redist\Debug_NonRedist\amd64\Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\redist\Debug_NonRedist\x86\Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT. As you can see one of them is 64-bit, while the other is 32-bit. When I have placed 32-bit into the directory of the application the application silently crashes while loading (log from Visual Studio Output window is below). With the 32-bit one I get another error message: If I press Abort -- programs shuts down, Retry results in breaking into debug session for crt0msg.c file. This is system file and I have no idea how to debug it. If I press Ignore I get yet another error message: So the question is how to debug such errors? Please give me some links where I can read more about it or point me out what exactly I should do in such cases. I know this relates to manifest problems -- please give me a good resource where I can read about resources, since what I have found have confused me even more.   I am using jQuery's ajax method to acquire a static JSON file. The data is loaded from the local file system, hence there is no server, so I can't change the mime type. This works fin in Safari, but Firefox (3.6.3) reports the file to be "not well-formed". I am aware of, and have reviewed, a similar post here on Stack Overflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/677902/not-well-formed-error-in-firefox-when-loading-json-file-with-xmlhttprequest I believe my JSON is well-formed: { "_": ["appl", "goog", "yhoo", "vz", "t"] } My ajax call is straightforward: $.ajax({ url: 'data/tickers.json', dataType: 'json', async: true, data: null, success: function(data, textStatus, request) { callback(data); } }); If I wrap the JSON with a document tag: <document>JSON data</document> as was mentioned in the above referenced posted question, the ajax call fails with a parserror. So: is there a way to avoid the Firefox warning when reading in client-side JSON files?

• .net framework sdk version(csc.exe) using vcbuild.exe on the command line.

  I create a c# class library project named: testVcBuild, then use vcbuild.exe to build the project in the command line like: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\vcpackages>vcbuild testVcBuild.csproj "Debug|Win32" the out put shows: Microsoft (R) Visual C++ Project Builder - Command Line Version 9.00.21022 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. I found that the vcbuild.exe always call the "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Csc.exe /noconfig .." the problem is how can I change the Framework version to v3.5? I found my project works fine with the v3.5 but it's broken in the v2.0.50727. I try to use msbuild.exe instead of vcbuild.exe, everything goes well, I just don't understand how can I make it with the vcbuild.exe? win7+vs2005+vs2008 installed.

• Changes in gcc/persistence of optimization flags gcc/C

  Just curious. Using gcc/gdb under Ubuntu 9.10. Reading a C book that also often gives the disassembly of the object file. When reading in January, my disassembly looks a lot like the book's; now, it's quite different - possibly more optimized (I notice some re-arrangements in the assembly code now that, at least in the files I checked, look optimized). I have used optimization options -O1 - -O3 for gcc between the first and second read, but not before the first. (1) Is the use of optimization options persistent, aka, if you use them once, you'll use them until switching them off? That would be weird (browsed man file and at least did not see anything to that sort). In the unlikely case that it is true, how do you switch them off? (2) Has gcc's assembly changed through any recent upgrade? (3) Does gcc sometimes produce (significantly) different assembly code although same compile options are chosen? Thanks much.

• Can two Silverlight applications share IsolatedStorage on one machine?

  What identifies an application and when can two applications share IsolatedStorage if at all, i.e.: if I want to have two Silverlight applications share IsolatedStorage space, is this possible? What kind of "application id" do I need to give to do this? if I don't want two Silverlight applications to share IsolatedStorage, how do I prevent this? Do I need to do this? For instance, I've noticed when I develop a Silverlight application, I can press F5, in the application save to Isolated Storage, stop the application, press F5 again, and it reads from the same IsolatedStorage. (I would think that a new compilation would cause it to use new IsolatedStorage.) However, when I then copy the .xap and .html files to another directory and open the .html file, it does NOT share the IsolatedStorage with the application I was developing. What changed? What is going on behind the scenes here so I know when IsolatedStorage is shared and when it isn't?

  When editing plist files in XCode, it can detect the type of plist and show human-readable strings to make it more easy to edit the file. The Info.plist, for example. Thanks to This question, I found the (or a) place where it stores that structure definition, as InfoPlistStructDefs.xcodeplugin. If I put my own file in there, however, nothing interesting happens. That is, it doesn't show up in the list of possible property list types. So does anybody know how to make XCode or the external property list editor application recognize a custom plist structure definition?

• AJAX POST problems with CKFinder

  We're using CKFinder for one of our sites, which has been working fine for us until we moved to a new dedicated server (which is similar but not exactly the same as the old server). Now we cant upload, the AJAX request simply never finishes. From monitoring it in Firebug it attempts to POST to here: http://www.site.com/temp/ckfinder/core/connector/php/connector.php?command=FileUpload&type=Files&currentFolder=%2F&hash=4f9cdbbb1e295966&langCode=en&= but never gets a response. This is the same CKFinder install on both WIMP servers, one works fine one doesnt. any idea where we should be looking to fix this problem? php.ini maybe? any help would be great as we havent a clue at this stage.
