  Using the following html, css,jquery, js, what would be the best approach to achieving this. A visitor hits the website. The website page is displaying html and a css3 animation. The visitor is given the option to enter text freely into a text box, they enter an email address and hit send. The person receiving the message gets an email with a link, when they click the link it takes them to the webpage with the animation and the custom message their friend entered. Is this easy to achieve, what would be the best approach? anyone know of existing code I could use? Thanks

If I enter invalid email(xxx), Enter Email is off but taking the space, Invalid Email message is displayed after these space taken by 'Enter Email' before. Is there any way to remove this space??   I am using Tuscany 1.6 and am trying to set the Delivery Mode JMS Binding to NON_PERSISTENT. I've tried using uri="jms:MyService?deliveryMode=1" (which is what the spec (PDF) says to do) but, I ended up getting the following exception: Unknown token deliveryMode=1 I also tried <headers JMSDeliveryMode="NON_PERSISTENT"/>, although I did not get an exception the messages still got delivered as PERSISTENT.   Hi I'm new to all this. I have been trying to display fetched emails in a JTable using the JavaMail add-on. However when I ask the program to set the value it never does. I have been working in NetBeans if that is any help? the fetchMail class finds all may on a server. The gui class is used to display all emails in a table as well as creating mail. You will probably think that I have tried it like a bull in a china shop, I am new to Java and trying to give myself a challenge. • Rails 2.3.4 and jquery form plugin works on development, not in production?

  Hello, i'm trying to build a contact form in Rails 2.3.4. I'm using the jQuery Form plugin along with this (http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/) for validations. Everything works in my development environment (mac os x snow leopard), the loading gif appears and on my log the email gets sent and the "request completed" notice shows. But on my production machine the loading gif just keeps going and the form doesn't get sent. I've waited as long as I could, nothing.   There's an outlook plugin called Xobni that has a really cool feature, if a contact has an email address, it will fetch that contact's profile picture and display it. Their FAQ states the following: Xobni sends an encrypted email address to Facebook to retrieve the Facebook profile for the person who is currently being viewed in the Xobni sidebar. Your own Facebook profile is never altered by Xobni, and all Facebook privacy settings are strictly followed when viewing other profiles. I'd like to duplicate this functionality. However, I can't figure out which API call they're using. I'm assuming when they say "encrypted email address" that's laymen's terms for the email hash. Once a username is derived, the graph api looks ideal for actually fetching the image, but I'm having trouble going from email hash to profile ID.

I have done some R&D and i hv found that in order to receive email from anywhere i have to expose my DNS of the sharepoint site to the outside world. Now i dont know whether it applies to the email address designated to me in the Active directory profile as well (my company domain email address). How to test that this email reception is working in the document library? I have tried sending an email from the sharepoint site and it works fine so the SMTP settings are correctly done.

• Shared IMAP Folders in GMail

  Our office is using Google Apps for Domains for our email. Our customer support guys use IMAP clients (such as Thunderbird and Outlook) to check both their individual email addresses and a "collective" support email address. On the support account, there are several folders for organizing email threads by client. When a user gets a support-related email (either to the support email or their individual email address) they file away the email in one of thse shared folders. Many of us greatly prefer the Gmail interface (with Folders4Gmail enabled on the Better Gmail 2 add-on for Firefox, for label-to-folder support) over Thunderbird or Outlook. However, there is no way to "share" email threads, complete with labels, between accounts. The desired end result is that a user logs into their individual account and can see both their account and the support account and can pass emails (labels and all) between the two accounts - or at least from their individual account into the support account. Any ideas?

• Will this SPF record restrict delivery of email for the original domain?

  As part of the product we offer we send emails on behalf of our clients. Because the emails don't come from an IP associated with the client they are sometimes flagged as spam. We advised some of our clients to add an SPF record approving us to send emails on their behalf. We saw immediate improvement in deliverability rates after making the change however one of our clients was notified by his hosting provider that the SPF record we suggested to add would "slightly restrict" all emails that don't come from our servers (including our client's own servers). The record we use is this: v=spf1 a mx include:ourdomain.com ~all So my question is if the warning we received about this is correct and if so why and what can be done to solve this (allow sending email both from original domain and by ourselves).

  Since my first UUCP operation in UNIX to deliver and receive an email, I have always been challenged to find the ultimate email organizer. About a year ago, I switched to a very simple process of managing email and have found the ultimate in organization. On the craziest of days with 250+ emails, I keep my inbox empty. Here is how I do it; First, start with the following folders in your mailbox; Inbox    Archive    FollowUp    Hold Of course, all inbound emails will start in the Inbox. As you work throughout the day, follow these steps to keep your inbox empty; Read the email. Are you responsible for any action? If you are and can do it immediately, then do it. If you need to do it later, move the email to the “FollowUp” folder If you are not responsible for any action, move it to the archive folder. Use Outlook’s search to find them when you need them. If you will need to reference the email later in the week or for a short term (week or two), then move the email to the “Hold” folder As your day progresses, frequently review the FollowUp folder and accomplish the task *Notes: If I am waiting for someone to do something for me, I keep it in the FollowUp folder. As I review the folder, I am constantly reminded that there is something I am waiting on – and can send a simple reminder by forwarding the original email. I sometimes send myself a “todo” email and park it in the FollowUp folder I like to know how many emails are in the folders so I set the “Show total number of items” property on the folder to show the amount of emails.

EDIT 1 After reading the example form the docs and trying to replicate it — I got type error: TypeError('Model constructor takes no positional arguments.'). This is the exacto code used: user = User('[email protected]', 'password', 'First', 'Last') user.put() stamp = UserLogin(parent=user) stamp.put() I understand that Model was given the wrong argument, BUT why it's in the docs?

  I have a simple Email() class. It's used to send out emails from my website. <? Email::send($to, $subj, $msg, $options); ?> I also have a bunch of email templates written in plain HTML pierced with a few PHP variables. E.g. /inc/email/templates/account_created.php: <p>Dear <?=$name?>,</p> <p>Thank you for creating an account at <?=$SITE_NAME?>. To login use the link below:</p> <p><a href="https://<?=$SITE_URL?>/account" target="_blank"><?=$SITE_NAME?>/account</a></p> In order to have the PHP vars rendered I had to include the template into my function. But since include does not return the contents but rather just sends it directly to the output, I had to wrap it with the buffer functions: <? abstract class Email { public static function send($to, $subj, $msg, $options = array()) { /* ... */ ob_start(); include '/inc/email/templates/account_created.php'; $msg = ob_get_clean(); /* ... */ } } After that I realized that the PHP vars are not rendered as they are being inside of the function scope, so I had to globalize the variables inside of the template: <? global $SITE_NAME, $SITE_URL, $name; ?> <p>Dear <?=$name?>,</p> ... So the question is whether there is a more elegant solution to this? Mainly I am concerned about my workarounds using ob_start() and global. For some reason that seems to me odd.   I setup a small box with Server 2003 64bit to be used as a webserver and email server for a small school. Real simple stuff for a few users. A simple website and a handful of emails. rDNS and spf records setup and pass every test I found including test at dnsstuff.com. Email sending to almost every email address (google, hotmail, aol, whatever) works. However, with one domain, I get an bounce back with the error. 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable It's another school running Exchange judging from some packet sniffing with WireShark. Every email on this domain I have tried sending to gives this error. The email address is valid as I can send to it from my personal, and gmail account without a problem. Does anyone know of some anti-spam software that gives an 550 error like the above? What else could this be? Thanks for any suggestions.   I'm getting a FormatException telling me the address '[email protected]' is invalid (I'm guessing because of the '-').   I have webmail setup similar to what hostgator has (I host with them and looks like they use their own system). I'm trying to customize the login page of webmail, but am a little stuck. When you go to webmail page/port below, you get a popup login form, not a web login form. If you hit cancel, it finally loads the web login form. http://www.hostgator.com/webmail/ Note that I'm using hostgator's webmail link just as an example because they use the same script. Is there a way through php (or any other way) to prevent the popup login form and go straight to the web login form? The next step would be to theme it, etc. etc. Any ideas or tutorials on how this script works?
