  Hi, I am developing one application using C# for processing MSWord files. My application gets hang when I pass invalid .doc file as an input. For example, if I have one foo.pdf file and I pass it to my application after changing its extension (foo.doc). Is it possible to check whether file is valid doc file before trying to open it?   Is there a way to rewrite the hg commit message if the wrong information was entered? We always include our Bug ID when we commit a changeset. They where definitely there yesterday so I'm not sure what's happened to them. • Apache Virtual Host in Windows - how do I deal with Symbolic links?

  Hi Folks, I'm trying to run a virtual host on a WAPP stack. My virtual host has the FollowSymLinks option, but in Windows, all those symbolic links (I'm using shortcuts, and I think this may be the problem) have the .lnk extension. So if I'm trying to access settings.html, Apache can't find it because all i have sitting there is settings.html.lnk. Apologies if my question is unclear.

However, when doing setup.py install, one of my packages gets installed as an egg, while the others get installed as "egg folders", i.e. folders with an extension of "egg".   We do this using the 'Advanced' button on the checkin dialog now (with Merant, nee PVCS) but the 'Advanced' button is disabled when I set TFS as my SCC provider. Is there a switch we can flip on either side to enable this? Or do we need to write some custom extension? Or can I get the TFS changeset number to associate with the change in PB? Or am I coming at doing selective builds entirely the wrong way?

Is there a way to replace only part of the match?

  I want all CSV files in a directory, so I use glob('my/dir/*.CSV') This however doesn't find files with a lowercase CSV extension. I could use glob('my/dir/*.{CSV,csv}', GLOB_BRACE); But is there a way to allow all mixed case versions? Or is this just a limitation of glob() ?
