  • How to get webcam video stream bytes in c++

    I am targeting windows machines. I need to get access to the pointer to the byte array describing the individual streaming frames from an attached usb webcam. I saw the playcap directshow sample from the windows sdk, but I dont see how to get to raw data, frankly, I don't understand how the video actually gets to the window. Since I don't really need anything other than the video capture I would prefer not to use opencv. Visual Studio 2008 c++

  • SVN Symfony Best Practice

    So I am starting a Symfony project that I will be developing on my local machine and pushing changes everyday to the live server. I wanna use SVN as the version control but Im not sure what the best way to set it up is. Do i make the actual html directory on the server be the repo so that when I check things in it goes live? Do I make it a separate directory and move things over by hand? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Re-binding an ajaxForm after content re-loads with ajax (jQuery 1.4.2)

    I'm trying to figure out why this is a problem when using jQuery 1.4.2 and not 1.3.2. This is my function: function prepare_logo_upload() { $("#logo-upload-form").ajaxForm({ //alert(responseText); success: function(responseText) { //alert(responseText); $('#profile .wrapper').html(responseText); prepare_logo_upload(); } }); } Every other live event works but can't use the .live() method because ajaxForm is a plugin. I have noticed this also for other types of binding (clicks) using the old form (re-binding after callback) Can you tell me if it is a way of solving this?   • Should you correct compiler warnings about type conversions using explicit typecasts?

    In my current project, the compiler shows hundreds of warnings about type conversions. There is a lot of code like this iVar = fVar1*fVar2/fVar3; // or even iVar = fVar1*fVar2/fVar3+.5f; which intentionally assign float values to int. Of course, I could fix these warnings using iVar = int(...); but that looks kind of ugly. Would you rather live with the ugliness or live with the warnings? Or is there even a clean solution?

  • Run a function when a DOM element is created

    Hi folks, I want to bind an event to a certain class and ID for when matching objects are created in the DOM. I am doing this as I have some jQuery code in an ASP UpdatePanel, which causes the DOM to be re-loaded on its partial postback. I have reset the events with live(), however I need to call a 2 line initialisation function as soon as the elements are created. Is there any way to attach this to live(), or some other jQuery function, or will I have to write code to do this myself? Thanks, Ed

These messages live indefinitely on the expiry address, Is there a way to provide a expiry time for these messages so they live only limited time on the expiry address?

What do/did/would you need to get you started and keep you interested? What I have so far: SBCL 10.22, Emacs 22.3, SLIME, and LTK bundled together and configured on a Linux live-CD that boots entirely to RAM.   • Testing PayPal certificate on a different domain

    I have a PP-enabled site that needs to be tested. I've already tested it with Sandbox credentials and it works ok. The next step is to test it with live PayPal credentials on test server. Here I hit a wall, because using real credentials from liveserver.com on test.liveserver.com gives me error of "malformed url" (which as I read stands for "invalid credentials"). And here is the question: are PayPal credentials domain-bound? Can I get error message because I am using live api credentials on a subdomain(different domain)?

  • Why would this line throw exception for type initializer failed?

    I had a class: public class Constant { public static string ConnString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["ConnString"].ConnectionString; } which would throw exception on LIVE: Type initialize failed for Constant ctor If I change the class to: public class Constant { public static string ConnString { get { return ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["ConnString"].ConnectionString; } } } it works. I wasted 2 hours behind this but I still don't know why would this happen. Any ideas? Note: The 1st class used to work on DEV environment but not on LIVE. The 2nd class works on DEV and also on Production. I am using VS2010 on production and Asp.Net 4.0 Website project. I am totally amazed by this inconsistency to say the least! Edit: This class was in App_Code folder.

    Hello! I'm developing a Flash-only application and I want to integrate the flowplayer directly into it, but not on the webpage using some swfobject-like approach. So, at some moment (for example, when arbitrary event fires), I would like to add the flowplayer object to the scene so that it starts streaming the specified video. Does someone know if that is possible? Would the following API (http://releases.flowplayer.org/apidoc-latest/index.html) help me somehow? Thank you.

  • Is it okay to truncate a SHA256 hash to 128 bits?

    MD5 and SHA-1 hashes have weaknesses against collision attacks. SHA256 does not but it outputs 256 bits. Can I safely take the first or last 128 bits and use that as the hash? I know it will be weaker (because it has less bits) but otherwise will it work? Basically I want to use this to uniquely identify files in a file system that might one day contain a trillion files. I'm aware of the birthday problem and a 128 bit hash should yield about a 1 in a trillion chance on a trillion files that there would be two different files with the same hash. I can live with those odds. What I can't live with is if somebody could easily, deliberately, insert a new file with the same hash and the same beginning characters of the file. I believe in MD5 and SHA1 this is possible.

    Inside of a jQuery plugin I made I have: $.getJSON(base_url,{ agenda_id:defaults.id, action:defaults.action+defaults.type, output:defaults.output },function(json){ return json; }); And in a separate JS file (yes, it comes after the plugin): json = $('#agenda-live-preview').agenda({action:'get',type:'agenda',output:'json'}); alert(json[0].agenda_id); If i do the above $.getJSON and put an alert inside of the $.getJSON it works and returns "3", which is correct. If I do it like the json=$('#agenda-live-preview').agenda(...)... it returns undefined. My JSON is valid, and the json[0].agenda_id is correct also, I know it's in a callback, so how do I get the stuff inside of a callback in a function return?

  • android playback suddenly stopping...

    I have an app that is streaming audio content and sometimes it just stops all of the suddent. the logcat windows shows -- AudioHardware pcm playback is going to standby and that's it. I saw on another thread (pun intended) that someone was saying it was because he was using too many threads. Could that really be causing this? Could i give the audio thread higher priority? Anyway to prevent the audio hardware pcm from going to standby?

    In my program I have a table that, when loaded, has jQuery add some styles/classes to the table cells and table headers. Everything works fine until rows are added via functionality on the rest of the page. Instead of adding the classes to the table cell during addition, is it possible to "listen" or fire some event that checks to see if child elements were added to the table. Essentially, I want something functionally equivalent to this: $("#table td").live("ready", function(){ // do something }); but the live/ready won't work on a table cell... Any ideas?

Reference counting is expensive – it needs action every time a reference changes and it doesn’t spot cyclical structures, but it can reclaim space incrementally. Tracing involves identifying live objects only when you need to reclaim space – moving the cost from general access to the time at which the GC runs, typically only when you are out of memory. I understand the principles of why reference counting is expensive but do not understand what "doesn’t spot cyclical structures, but it can reclaim space incrementally." means.     Does htaccess works with swf file that accepts variables? I have this swf url... http://subdom.domain.tld/subfolder/live.swf?stream=rtmp://stream.domain.com/application&provider=rtmp&file=streamname&autostart=true I want it to be rewrite as http://subdom.domain.tld/subfolder/assignedname/ So far this is what I written on .htaccess file RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^kwt/?$ live.swf?stream=rtmp://stream.domain.com/application&provider=rtmp&file=streamname&autostart=true [NC,L] It does seem to rewrite to the swf file because the swf is showing but for some reason the variable is not recognized. It does not auto play even the auto play variable is set to true in the RewriteRule. Is there something wrong with my code or it can't be done in swf file?

    I want to tune object caching in my sharepoint environment. The way to do is check sharepoint publishing cache counter through perfmon on your farm. I have one application server and 2 WFE but when I am trying to create counter for my WFE its showing Sharepoint publishing cache but I am not able to add any instance of it but when I select my application server I can see all the instances. But If I want to check publishing hit ratio i need to run this on WFE also ...correct me if I m wrong? How to resolve this issue? Also, how to check the hit ratio as our site is not go-live so we don't get enuf users to hit the site to check this thing. Does it means that I can tune it up only my site go live and real load will get on it. Thanks, Amit

  • Making a Mac double-clickable application in NetBeans

    I have recently moved to a MacBook Pro, which has meant leaving my beloved JBuilder 2005 behind. Since there is no such thing any more (AFAIK) as a free JBuilder, I'm having to choose a new IDE. I can't live with the code-formatting of Eclipse (yes, I know, it can be customised up the wazoo, but the fact that it will NOT respect my inserted returns means I can't live with it) so I'm seriously considering NetBeans. However, I can't find any way of getting it to build a double-clickable Mac application! (I used to use XCode for this step, but it seems that XCode no longer wants to know about Java...) I cannot be the first person who's wanted to do this...can anyone help me with advice as to how to go about it? Grateful thanks in advance
