• Removing unused profiles from Windows network connections

  Can't figure this one out. When you connect to a wireless network (like an ad-hoc), it'll create a networkname 1 connection. After something changes, it makes a networkname 2 connection. And this goes on and on. Now I'm at connection ~23, at the home connection I'm at ~2 and ~5. Is there a way to clean these out? Couldn't find where Win stores such profiles.

• How much audio latency is noticeable by human brain?

  I am choosing a wireless headset for my PC (I hate cables) and am looking at Sennheiser RS 170 / 180. They supposedly sound great, however, there is a 25ms audio latency. I've heard that this is OK when watching TV or listening musing but is bad for games. The question is - has there been any research / hard data that would show how much of a delay is noticeable by human brain? 25ms doesn't sound like a lot but I may be wrong.

• Make a temp network.

  I have a XAMPP test server running on my Windows Vista laptop. I also have a small wireless router. I would like be able to create a small temp network that could broadcast that network so any other computers connected to the wifi can go to localhost/ or an internal ip address and view my server. The router will not be able to be connected to the internet, but I don't see how that would make a difference Thanks giodamelio

• New to networking had to reinstall xp what does blank in Default Gateway mean?

  I have reinstalled windows xp and posted about not being able to connect to the Interenet. I did go and ensure all drivers are there and now when I type ipconfig/all I get physical address, dhcp enabled, autoconfiguration enabled, autoconfiguration Ip address, subnet mask and then a line that says default gateway where default gateway is the only line with no numbers or anything next to it. My wireless connection works but how can I get this ethernet connection to work. This was working prior to this fresh reinstall.

  We have all been hearing about the upcoming changes to the UI in Firefox and now the first test build is finally available to try out. Mozilla software engineer Jared Wein has worked hard and put together an unofficial (at the moment) Australis UI build that you can download as a regular installer or as a portable in zip file format. Here is a closer look at the new tab setup in the Australis build. Notice that only the focused tab is non-transparent while the non-active tabs blend nicely into the background. Special Note: Our screenshots were taken in Windows 8, thus the slightly different looking (non-rounded) corners on the app window. The test build only works on Windows at the moment, but you can bet that Linux and MacOS builds are coming in the near future! • iPhone Peripherals for Retailers

  I saw RedLaser on the latest "Shopper" iPhone commercial on TV. Works great for consumers, but retailers will be more interested in a true barcode reader from someone like Infinite Peripherals, which also comes with a magstripe reader I previously mentioned the offerings from Square Verifone, and Mophie that allow swiping credit cards with an iPhone as well. So what's next? There's a decent list at WireLust that includes an IR dongle that turns your iPhone into a TV remote, armband monitors for use when exercising, and most recently a NFC/RFID reader. iCarte from Canadian firm Wireless Dynamics looks interesting. This device can be used for NFC payments and for reading RFID tags. The Canon printer I just bought for home has an iPhone app that lets me send iPhone pictures directly to the printer for printing. In that same vein, Seems like retailers could use bluetooth to print receipts on strategically place printers on the floor. I can't wait to see what they come up with for the iPad.
