  • How to determine the Window size in IE for a window to be opened from the COM API?

    I'm using the IE control embedded in an application. Works as advertised. When a user opens a new browser window I intercept the NewWindow2 event and force it into a new tab. However for a certain class of windows I want to allow a popup. Most notably a few windows legacy applications that use popup windows instead of Ajax for Date or Name pickers. How can I figure out that a window was requested by JavaScript window.open(...) or with a specific size? Thx for helping.

  • jquery validate not submitting after modal close bootstrap

  • unexplained spacing in horizontal panel in GWT

    Hi, I am developing an emacs major mode for a language (aka mydsl). However, using the techniques on xahlee's site doesn't seem to be working for some reason (possibly older emacs dialect..) The key issues I am fighting with are (1) highlighting comments is not working and (2), the use of regexp-opt lines is not working.   • Bootstarap: want to trigger some costum events on layout change

    So, there are some events in my app that changes layout on my page (re-position of the elements)... mostly is done by bootstrap collapsing and fading (tabs, collapsibles, accordions)...   • Deleting dynamic pageviews using Javascript

    Hi, I created dynamic tab creation application using telerik radstrip. I can delete the tabs that are creating dynamically using crossbar option. When i am deleting the tabs its just deleting the tabs but not pageview corresponding to the tab. I have tried to delete the pageviews but i am getting error like "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method" and pointing to multiPage.get_pageViews().remove(pageView); code. Can anyone help me how to delete pageviews. Thanks in advance.   • Process is killed without a (obvious) reason and program stops working

    Here's what my program is supposed to do: create 4 child processes: process 0 is reading 1 byte at a time from STDIN, then writing it into FIFO process 1 is reading this 1 byte from fifo and write its value as HEX into shared memory process 2 is reading HEX value from shared memory and writing it into pipe finally process 3 is reading from pipe and writing into STDOUT (in my case: terminal) I can't change communication channels. FIFO, then shared memory, then pipes are the only option. My problem: Program stops at random moments when some file is directed into stdin (for example:./program < /dev/urandom). Sometimes after writing 5 HEX values, sometimes after 100. Weird thing is that when it is working and in another terminal I write "pstree -c" there is 1 main process with 4 children processes (which is what I want), but when I write "pstree -c" after it stopped writing (but still runs) there are only 3 child processes. For some reason 1 is gone even though they all have while(1) in them.. I think I might have problem with synchronization here, but I am unable to spot it (I've tried for many hours).     It's a real strange issue, the machine information below is from DXDiag. There is no error reported, but create CLSID_CaptureGraphBuilder2 instance always failed in the machine. It's okay to create CLSID_FilterGraph. Before create CLSID_CaptureGraphBuilder2, I have called CoInitialize and created CLSID_FilterGraph.   • Does jquery live slow down websites?

    Hi I have a problem I am using jquery U.I tabs that load everything with ajax. Now I have it right now everytime you click on a tab a partial view is loaded up into that tab. Now in this partial view their are javascript files that use jquery to bind all the events that are needed in that tab plus some jquery plugins I am using. Now every time that tab is loaded up all those scripts are loaded up. If it is clicked 10 times then those scripts are loaded 10times up meaing now each of say my buttons will now have 10 of the same events on it mean if someone clicks on that button 10 events will all fire off to and do the same thing. So I need to find some solution to either move all the script out and have it on the main page and use jquery.live or some other solution. I tried to do use jquery caching for the U.I tabs but this won't work since some things in say Tab A when changed effect Tab B meaning I need Tab B to be reloaded but the scripts can't reload otherwise I run into the same problem as now.

    I have noticed that when my computer in plugged in, the wireless strength increases. I'm assuming this is to do with power management. Is there a way to disable Wireless Power Management? I have found a few blog posts that show hacks to disable this but what is best practice here? Should there not be an option via the power menu that lets you toggle this?     I am using Delphi 2010, and when I created a console application that prints "Hello World", it takes 111 kb. If I want to query WMI with Delphi, I add WBEMScripting_TLB, ActiveX, and Variants units to my project. If I perform a simple WMI query, my executable size jumps to 810 kb. I Is there anyway to query WMI without such a large addition to the size of the file? Forgive my ignorance, but why do I not have this issue with C++?     I've been working on a Silverlight application. I just noticed that the .xap file is now four times as big as it was, what could have caused that? Here's some other info: there seems to now be many more language settings in the bin/Release directory I checked "Reduce size of .xap" in under Properties/Silverlight but that just brought it down from 1300 to 1200.     Hi, I have a program that includes a recursive function. This function when executed in a Windows Application works just fine, and when used in a Webservice, it works fine when the webservice is initiated by the VS (it assigns a random port), but this function return a stackoverflow error when the webservice is published. (note that the machine used is the same, hence it is published on my pc). Could it be that the stack size of a Web Service is smaller than that of a Window Application?

    It seems (at least that is our understanding of the issue at this point) that given a background image in BIRT, the PDF generation routine repeats the image information inside the PDF instead of having it once referenced as the background image of all pages of the PDF. This causes our BIRT generated PDFs to be too large. Is there a way to get BIRT to only store the image once inside the PDF and have it be the background image on each page of the PDF while keeping the file size more reasonable?
