  • Data Grid Shows extra column

    I have a wpf data Grid where I created twlo columns. But whenever I run the window the datagrid shows a extra column. I can't figure out why.?   • Possible to implement an IsViewPortVisible dependencyproperty for an item in an ItemsControl?

    I need to enable/disable spell checking in a richtextbox in an ItemsControl, based on whether the RichTextBox is visible in the ItemsControl's Scrollviewer. I think the route is to implement an IsViewPortVisible dependency property and wire an event handler for a changed event... I found this article that describes the lengthy process for determining if an item is in the viewport: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/wpf/thread/e6ccfec3-3dc0-4702-9d0d-1cfa55ecfc90 Any ideas on where to start? I'm familiar with implementing my own dependency property for the sake of simple bindings (integers, strings, etc...).   • Window opened from DataGrid is placed in background

    One column in DataGrid looks like that: <DataTemplate> <StackPanel> <Image MouseDown="OpenWindow" /> <Image MouseDown="func2"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> In OpenWindow window is opened: it starts opening in foreground (in front of the window with DataGrid), but when creating UI ends it is placed behind window with DataGrid, which is not expected behavior. When I changed Image to Button and MouseDown to Click everything works as it should (opened window is placed in front of the one with DataGrid).

  • Append DataGrid inside of DataGrids RowDetailsTemplate

    this appears to bind, but rows in Details Grid are empty. Something is off/missing? I've also tried {Binding SubCustomers} SubCustomers is a List on parent object. I am able to bind this way to single Fields such as FirstName etc.. just not the subcollection.. <DataGrid.RowDetailsTemplate> <DataTemplate> <DataGrid AutoGenerateColumns="True" ItemsSource="{Binding Source=SubCustomers}" /> </DataTemplate> </DataGrid.RowDetailsTemplate>

The second time I press it, it does not fire. Third press, fires. Fourth press, does not fire. Etc. Originally I had it bound to a command but that was behaving the same way. (I put a Debug.WriteLine() in the event handler so I know when it fires.) Any ideas? It's really odd that the click event only fires every other time.

  • Outlook 2003 add-in - Getting COM exception on application shutdown after creating WPF window

    Hi! I'm developing an outlook 2003 add-in. Until now I used only winforms to display one form, but today I've added a WPF window for more complex stuff. DUe to the WPF window, a COM exception is being thrown when outlook shuts down. Does anybody know why? I need to start a separate thread for the WPF window in single apartment state. Here is the exception: System.Runtime.InteropServices.InvalidComObjectException was unhandled Message="COM object that has been separated from its underlying RCW cannot be used."   • Linking IronPython to WPF

    I just installed VS2010 and the great new IronPython Tools extension. Currently this extension doesn't yet generate event handlers in code upon double-clicking wpf visual controls. Is there anyone that can provide or point me to an example as to how to code wpf event handlers manually in python. I've had no luck finding any and I am new to visual studio.   • A continued saga of C# interoprability with unmanaged C++

    After a day of banging my head against the wall both literally and metaphorically, I plead for help: I have an unmanaged C++ project, which is compiled as a DLL. Let's call it CPP Project. It currently works in an unmanaged environment. In addition, I have created a WPF project, that shall be called WPF Project. This project is a simple and currently almost empty project. It contains a single window and I want it to use code from Project 1. For that, I have created a CLR C++ project, which shall be called Interop Project and is also compiled as a DLL. For simplicity I will attach some basic testing code I have boiled down to the basics. CPP Project has the following two testing files: tester.h #pragma once extern "C" class __declspec(dllexport) NativeTester { public: void NativeTest(); }; tester.cpp #include "tester.h" void NativeTester::NativeTest() { int i = 0; } Interop Project has the following file: InteropLib.h #pragma once #include <tester.h> using namespace System; namespace InteropLib { public ref class InteropProject { public: static void Test() { NativeTester nativeTester; nativeTester.NativeTest(); } }; } Lastly, WPF Project has a single window refrencing Interop Project: MainWindow.xaml.cs using System; using System.Windows; using InteropLib; namespace AppGUI { public partial class MainWindow : Window { public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); InteropProject.Test(); } } } And the XAML itself has an empty window (default created). Once I am trying to run the WPF project, I get the following error: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException: 'The invocation of the constructor on type 'AppGUI.MainWindow' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception.' Line number '3' and line position '9'. --- System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'InteropLib.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found. at AppGUI.MainWindow..ctor() Interestingly enough, if I do not export the class from CPP Project, I do not get this error. Say, if i change tester.h to: #pragma once class NativeTester { public: void NativeTest() { int i = 0; } }; However, in this case I cannot use my more complex classes. If I move my implementation to a cpp file like before, I get unresolved linkage errors due to my not exporting my code. The C++ code I want to actually use is large and has many classes and is object oriented, so I can't just move all my implementation to the h files. Please help me understand this horrific error I've been trying resolve without success. Thanks.

    Hi, I basically started today with WPF, and I'm astounded by how difficult it is to do binding. I have an array of Textboxes, in an ObservableCollection, and just want to bind that in my Listbox, so that they arrange themselves vertically. I have fiddled around with this for 3 already, can you help? I'm working in a Wpf "UserControl", not a window as so many tutorials seem to rely on.

    I was reading this article - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd419663.aspx And I came across this piece of code in the WPF Demo application that came with the article. This template applies a CustomerView to an instance of the CustomerViewModel class shown in the main window. <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:CustomerViewModel}"> <vw:CustomerView /> </DataTemplate> I substituted the angle brackets for square brackets - not sure how to post them. The code is in the MainWindowResourses.xaml and the code starts on line 19. Anyone know how I can do this in Silverlight ?? We don't have the DataType and I need to be able to tell the app that this View is associated with this ViewModel - so I can create a tab control with different view like the demo app. Cheers, EC

  • Problems with Prism hosted in a WinForm ElementHost

    I am having problems with hosting a WPF prism app in an ElementHost control and am desparate for help. The PRISM app runs fine in silverlight and in a standalone WPF. The main Shell seems to setup fine in the elementHost on a WinForm however other views only load with the “RegisterViewWithRegion” and not the “Add,Activate” procedure. I need “Add,Activate” for scoping. However I beleive the problem is that I am loading my shell twice … not on purpose. I cannot find a way to call the bootsrapper and set the elementHot without calling “Resolve” twice. Here is the code for my WinForm and my bootstrapper. Again everything works when using "RegisterViewWithRegion".
