  • jQuery pagination go to page on input value change

    I'm creating some pagination for my website, and want to use an input-element to navigate between pages. Like the following example: The input would require the "return" key to be hit for the script to trigger. If the value entered is not within range and alert would trigger. e.g. If there was 32 pages, "Please enter a value between 1 and 32" Can this be done using jQuery or javascript, by detecting the value change within the range of pages and redirecting to that page?   • How to print size_t variable portably?

    I have a variable of type size_t, and I want to print it using printf(). What format specifier do I use to print it portably? In 32-bit machine, %u seems right. I compiled with g++ -g -W -Wall -Werror -ansi -pedantic, and there was no warning. But when I compile that code in 64-bit machine, it produces warning. size_t x = <something>; printf( "size = %u\n", x ); warning: format '%u' expects type 'unsigned int', but argument 2 has type 'long unsigned int' The warning goes away, as expected, if I change that to %lu. The question is, how can I write the code, so that it compiles warning free on both 32- and 64- bit machines? Edit: I guess one answer might be to "cast" the variable into an unsigned long, and print using %lu. That would work in both cases. I am looking if there is any other idea. (C, C++)

    Hello guys! I would like to apply RBF neural networks to teach my system. I have a system with an input: | 1 2 3 4 5 6 ... 32 | 33 | | 1000 0001 0010 0100 1000 1000 ... 0100 | 0 0 1 | You have to read this without the "|" character. I just wanted you to see that the last three elements in the input are staying together. The result have to be a number between 1-32, which has the value "1000" in the input. In my training set I will always have a result for an array of this kind. What kind of functions can I use for the teaching algorithm? Can you point me please to the right way? If you can't understand my description please don't hesitate to ask about it. Thank you guys for your help!

    The OS X Lion (10.7) OS runs on mostly 64-bit binaries as reported by Activity Monitor. Given this, and the fact that my laptop runs a 32-bit version of the EFI and thus also a 32-bit kernel, how does the arch mixing work in general? Darwin Kernel Version 11.3.0: Thu Jan 12 18:48:32 PST 2012; root:xnu-1699.24.23~1/RELEASE_I386 Normally one would run 32b binaries on x86_64, but the other way around would require pushing the cpu into 64b mode, which AFAIK cannot be undone. Hope this question is clear enough..

    I am trying to run a C++ program and am getting the following error message when I try to run the program using - Codeblocks IDE and SQL API: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Process returned 3 (0x3) execution time : 7.547 s Press any key to continue." The program compiles fine but on execution throws this error. My current OS is Windows server 2003 - SP2 (32 bit). Also program compiles and executes fine on Windows XP (32 bit) without any hassles. I checked the services (services.msc) running on my XP machine and compared with Windows server 2003 and found the settings same. Can someone please have a look and help me resolve the issue? thanks, Dhruv

  • Database table schema design - varchar(n). Suitable choice of N

    Coming from a C background, I may be getting too anal about this and worrying unnecessarily about bits and bytes here. Still, I cant help thinking how the data is actually stored and that if I choose an N which is easily factorizable into a power of 2, the database will be more effecient in how it packs data etc. Using this "logic", I have a string field in a table which is a variable length up to 21 chars. I am tempted to use 32 instead of 21, for the reason given above - however now I am thinking that I am wasting disk space because there will be space allocated for 11 extra chars that are guaranteed to be never used. Since I envisage storing several tens of thousands of rows a day, it all adds up. Question: Mindful of all of the above, Should I declare varchar(21) or varchar(32) and why?

  • How is the implicit segment register of a near pointer determined?

    In section 4.3 of Intel 64® and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer's Manual. Volume 1: Basic Architecture, it says: A near pointer is a 32-bit offset ... within a segment. Near pointers are used for all memory references in a flat memory model or for references in a segmented model where the identity of the segment being accessed is implied. This leads me to wondering: how is the implied segment register determined? I know that (%eip) and displaced (%eip) (e.g. -4(%eip)) addresses use %cs by default, and that (%esp) and displaced (%esp) addresses use %ss, but what about (%eax), (%edx), (%edi), (%ebp) etc., and can the implicit segment register depend also on the instruction that the memory address operand appears in?

Inside the view i have: img src=Url.Action("GetFile","Image", new {id= Model.id}) and in controller: public FileContentResult GetFile(int idl) { //int idl = 32; SqlDataReader rdr; byte[] fileContent = null; ........... return File(,,); } When the view is called, function GetFile it just wont work,but if i cut out the parameter int id1 and i instantiate it as a variable it'l work. public FileContentResult GetFile() { int idl = 32; SqlDataReader rdr; byte[] fileContent = null; ........... return File(,,); } Why?

    Hi there, I have function which takes in an parameter of a class called "Triple", and am returning the averge of 3 values of type float. template <typename ElemT> float average(Triple ElemT<float> &arg){ float pos1 = arg.getElem(1); float pos2 = arg.getElem(2); float pos3 = arg.getElem(3); return ( (pos1+pos2+po3) /3 ); } when i try compiling this i get q2b.cpp:32: error: template declaration of `float average' q2b.cpp:32: error: missing template arguments before "ElemT" not quite sure what this means.

    I am creating a TowerDefence Game in LibGDX and am now trying to replace the old Tile with a new StaticTiledMapTile. But to create a StaticTiledMapTile I need a TextureRegion, not a Texture. Now I'm trying to create a TextureRegion, which contains the whole Texture, but it doesn't seem to work. It always appears distorted. I have tried the following: TextureRegion region = new TextureRegion(new Texture("someImg.png"), 0, 0, 32, 32); StaticTileMapTile tile = new StaticTiledMapTile(region); getLayer().getCell(x,y).setTile(tile); //setting the new tile In my opinion this should work (if the image, as it is, is 32px wide and 32px high).

There are a variety of tools available to help you and Support diagnose SOA Suite issues in 11g but it can be confusing as to which tool is appropriate for a particular situation and what their relationships are. This blog post will introduce the various tools and attempt to clarify what each is for and how they are related. Let's first list the tools we'll be addressing: RDA: Remote Diagnostic Agent DFW: Diagnostic Framework Selective Tracing DMS: Dynamic Monitoring Service ODL: Oracle Diagnostic Logging ADR: Automatic Diagnostics Repository ADRCI: Automatic Diagnostics Repository Command Interpreter WLDF: WebLogic Diagnostic Framework This overview is not mean to be a comprehensive guide on using all of these tools, however, extensive reference materials are included that will provide many more details on their execution.   • Q&amp;A: Can you develop for the Windows Azure Platform using Windows XP?

    This question has come up several times recently as we take several hundred UK developers through 6 Weeks of Windows Azure training (sorry – we are full). Short answer: In the main, yes Longer answer: The question is sparked by the requirements as stated on the Windows Azure SDK download page. Namely: Supported Operating Systems: Windows 7; Windows Vista; Windows Vista 64-bit Editions Service Pack 1; Windows Vista Business; Windows Vista Business 64-bit edition; Windows Vista Enterprise; Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit edition; Windows Vista Home Premium; Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition; Windows Vista Service Pack 1; Windows Vista Service Pack 2; Windows Vista Ultimate; Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition Notice there is no mention of Windows XP. However things are not quite that simple. The Windows Azure Platform consists of three released technologies Windows Azure SQL Azure Windows Azure platform AppFabric The Windows Azure SDK is only for one of the three technologies, Windows Azure. What about SQL Azure and AppFabric? Well it turns out that you can develop for both of these technologies just fine with Windows XP: SQL Azure development is really just SQL Server development with a few gotchas – and for local development you can simply use SQL Server 2008 R2 Express (other versions will also work). AppFabric also has no local simulation environment and the SDK will install fine on Windows XP (SDK download) Actually it is also possible to do Windows Azure development on Windows XP if you are willing to always work directly against the real Azure cloud running in Microsoft datacentres. However in practice this would be painful and time consuming, hence why the Windows Azure SDK installs a local simulation environment. Therefore if you want to develop for Windows Azure I would recommend you either upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 or… you use a virtual machine running Windows 7. If this is a temporary requirement, then you could consider building a virtual machine using the Windows 7 Enterprise 90 day eval. Or you could download a pre-configured VHD – but I can’t quite find the link for a Windows 7 VHD. Pointers welcomed. Thanks.

    Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) integrations with Oracle E-Business Suite can either be custom integrations that you build yourself or prebuilt integrations from Oracle.  For more information about the differences between the two options for SOA integrations, see this previously-published certification announcement. There are five prebuilt BPEL business processes by Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 product teams: Oracle Price Protection (DPP) Complex Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (CMRO/AHL) Oracle Transportation Management (WMS, WSH, PO) Advanced Supply Chain Planning (MSC) Product Information Management (PIM/EGO) Last year we announced the certification of BPEL 11.1.1.5 for Prebuilt E-Business Suite 12.1.3 SOA integrations.  The five prebuilt BPEL processes have now been certified with Oracle BPEL Process Manager 11g version 11.1.1.6 (in Oracle Fusion Middleware SOA Suite 11g).  These prebuilt BPEL processes are certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 and higher.   • how to convert avi (xvid) to mkv or mp4 (h264)

    Very noob when it comes to video. I'm trying to make sense of what I"m finding via Google... but its mostly Greek to me. I have a bunch of Avi files that won't play in my WD TV Play box. Mediainfo tells me they are xvid. Specs for the box show that should be fine... but digging through forums says its hit-and-miss. So I'd like to try converting them to h264 encoded MKV or mp4 files. I gather avconv is the tool, but reading the manual just has me really really confused. I tried the very basic example of: avconv -i file.avi -c copy file.mp4 it took less than 4 seconds. And it worked... sort of. It "played" in that something came up on the screen... but there was horrible artifacting and scenes would just sort of melt into each other. I want to preserve quality if possible. I'm not concerned about file size. I'm not terribly concerned with the time it takes either, provided I can do them in a batch. Can someone familiar with the process please give me a command with the options? Thank you for your help.   • OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 Bundle Patch 2 is available

    Oracle BI EE 11.1.1.5.0 Bundle Patch 2 is available. The Patch number is 13611078 and it can be downloaded from Oracle Support (you can download it without password). This patch currently is available on Microsoft Windows x64 (64 bit), Linux x86 - 64 bit, IBM AIX on Power System (64 bit) and Oracle Solaris Sparc (64 bit). Remaining four platforms Win32, Linux32, HP-Itanium, and Solaris x86-64 are expected 3-4 weeks later. This Patch has thoroughly been tested and signed off by BI QA Team.  Important things to know: 1. All the customers are advised to apply this patch as it contains around 248 bug fixes. Please read the README file for all the bug fixes contained in this patch.   2. This patch can be applied via opatch. Please follow the standard process of applying this patch using opatch, i.e. stop all BI System processes via opmnctl, Stop WLS Managed and Admin Servers, Apply Patch, Start WLS Admin and Managed Servers, Check if all the J2EE applications are running fine, Start all BI System Processes via opmnctl command, and verify your fixes. It is advised to test this patch on Non Productions Instances first, run all the required tests / regressions and then move it to Production.    3. This Bundle Patch is cumulative to 11.1.1.5.0 BP1 (13562882) which was released in January 2012 on Linux x86 - 64 bit which contained around 64 bug fixes. Customers who have applied 11.1.1.5.0 BP1, will get expected OPatch conflict message, they can safely roll back BP1 prior to installing this BP2 or let opatch roll back BP1 during its application process.   4. Customer who have applied some one off patches and these one off patches are also part of 11.1.1.5.0 BP2, they can also roll back their existing one off patches after confirming that their fixes are part of BP2.    5. This Bundle Patch is not cumulative on top of 11.1.1.5.0, meaning this bundle patch does not contain all the one off fixes that were delivered on top of 11.1.1.5.0. All the remaining one off fixes delivered so far, will be available in next scheduled bundle patch i.e. 11.1.1.5.0 BP3. Please check the README file and let support know if your existing fixes are not part of BP2, so that support can open One Off Backport (OOB) request to have them included in next patch i.e. BP3.   6. 11.1.1.5.0 BP3 is in planning stages, and dates for it's availability will be announced in next couple of weeks.

  • How do I determine if my controller is in IDE or AHCI mode in Linux?

    I have an old MacBook Pro 4,1 (early 2008) - but I suspect an answer would apply to many MacBook Pros. It has an Intel IDE/SATA controller (ICH8M/ICH8M-E). I have installed a patched MBR that is supposed to put my controller into AHCI mode. It does this by setting some controller port value that I don't understand. This seems to work as I get this from lspci: 00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801HM/HEM (ICH8M/ICH8M-E) IDE Controller (rev 03) 00:1f.2 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801HM/HEM (ICH8M/ICH8M-E) SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (rev 03) Now most, perhaps all, sites that provide a solution (enabling AHCI) suggest that after a sleep/wake cycle that a controller will revert to IDE mode due to how Apple support Windows. They recommend disabling sleep. From author of patchedcode.bin I think Enabling AHCI for Windows on MacBooks NB: I do not have bootcamp installed and I do not have Windows installed. Is there a way to prove that my controller is in IDE or AHCI mode?     I have a CENTOS6 server running with some wordpress & tomcat websites. In the last two days it has been crashing continuously. After investigation we found that kernelupdates binary consuming 100% cpu on server. Process is mentioned below. ./kernelupdates -B -o stratum+tcp://hk2.wemineltc.com:80 -u spdrman.9 -p passxxx But this process seems invalid kernel update. Might be server is compromised and this process is installed by hacker, So I've killed this process & removed apache user's cron entries. But somehow this process started again after couple of hours & cron entries also restored, I am searching for the thing which is modifying cron jobs. Does this process belong to a mining process? How can we stop cronjob modification and clean the source of this process?   • Installing chrome in Centos 6.2 (Final)

    I need to install chrome in a dedicated centos server where I only access via ssh, it doesn't have X or any windows graphical stuff. I need it to be able to pack extensions using google-chrome --pack-extension. I tried adding this to /etc/yum.repos.d/google.repo [google-chrome] name=google-chrome - 32-bit baseurl=http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/i386 enabled=1 gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub And then yum install google-chrome-stable, but there's a huge list of dependencies problems: How can I install chrome without breaking anything else?
