• Blocking ICMP outgoing requests only in eth1

  I am creating a NAT with iptables: Computer A: eth0 (dhcp) + eth1 (static ip 192.168.0.1 - gateway) Computer B: eth1 (static ip 192.168.0.2, using Computer A as gateway) I know how to block ICMP outgoing requests (-A OUTPUT -p icmp --icmp-type echo-request -j DROP), but that would block ICMP requests from Computer A, but not from Computer B (in fact, only for Computer A - Computer B can keep doing those). I tried with the same command, but adding -o eth1, but that does not block at all. Any idea?

  I am using sofware iscsi initiator in windows server 2008 r2 to connect to a san. Everything works fine. But issue is if at time of boot san is not available it's not adding drives. It stays in reconnecting status when san is available. I have to manually disconnect and connect to get it working. How can i make it automatically connect when san is available.

• How to replicate wwwroot over multiple IIS web servers with NLB without NAS?

  We're adding a second server with Windows NLB for a bit of redundancy (ie the power goes on one of the servers - I know its not the best solution). How can we keep the data identical between the servers? Dont want to use a SAN or NAS as thats just something else to go wrong.   I have set up a Ubuntu PC on a next work that is behind a ISA Proxy. When I run the command sudo apt-get update I get several messages with this message: 502 Proxy Error (The ISA Sever denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator) The computer can see the internet and adding the proxy settings in the Network Preferences does not help. When I do a ifconfig Im on a 192 address which is not the usual subnet our PCs are on. Any ideas?

  A friend's laptop came with "Windows Vista Home Premium (SP1)" installed in English. But she's from a country with a right-to-left language, and she wants to be able to type in her own language from right-to-left. Going to the control panel and adding a keyboard on her language did half of the trick. She can type in her language but on a left-to-right way. Is it possible to enable the cursor to go on the other direction?

(i.e., get a report explorer and viewer web parts) However after adding the cabinet file e.g., STSADM.EXE -o addwppack -filename "C:\ Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Reporting Services\SharePoint\RSWebParts.cab" -globalinstall I still don't see report explorer in the web parts list. I'm very stuck and confused :-(

  Is there an application or plug-in that allows viewing .eml E-Mail dumps (that may contain HTML and attachments) in Windows 7's preview pane? I'm aware of the possibility of adding the file type in the registry but that will give only a plain-text view of the files, not a parsed view. I was thinking about LVM, but as far as i remember, Windows7 can't be installed on logical volume right?   I am building a custom Debian package and during the installation, I would like the package to check for available diskspace and only proceed if there is enough space. I would like this to happen during re-install as well. I tried adding bash code to do the check in preinst and prerm file(for re-installations) with exit 1 if the check fails, but the installer went ahead and copied files and I end up with a broke installation.   Do the uplink ports on switches typically work okay as iSCSI ports? We're adding a 10gb iSCSI SAN, and want to get a combo switch (48x1gb & 4x10gb SFP+ uplink ports) and use the 10gb for the iSCSI SAN, while the 1gb are for a 1gb iSCSI SAN. We were told the uplinks don't provide buffering needed for iSCSI. Is this specific to the switches used, and do some provide that needed buffering and some not on the uplink ports?
