  • UIButton of type UIButtonTypeCustom will not display Title (iPhone)

    Hi I must have overlooked something completely obvious?? but my button displays its image and size correctly, but I simply can't get the Title to show up. I did a really simple test, the Title does not even show up when I do this: CGRect frameBtn = CGRectMake(160.0f, 150.0f, 144.0f, 42.0f); UIButton *button = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom]; [button setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"left_halfscreen_button.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [button setTitle:@"Hello" forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [button setFrame:frameBtn]; NSLog(@"Title:%@", [button currentTitle]); //prints "Title:Hello [self addSubview:button]; I have a factory class that generates custom buttons for me and I thought I messed some detail up there, so I moved the above code directly into my UIView, the title is still blank. I have a nib with a NSTableView with three columns (with the right identifiers set) and a class named ShortcutsTableController. In the nib I have a NSObject with class value ShortcutsTableController. I also connected the NSTableView to my controller as I usually do. There is a calendarExtender to select the date, but I would also like to be able to have the users enter the date manually.     Hi, Ive made a query in PHP, and i'm trying to send the results back into Flash via AS3, but its throwing up this error Error: Error #2101: The String passed to URLVariables.decode() must be a URL-encoded query string containing name/value pairs. at Error$/throwError() at flash.net::URLVariables/decode() at flash.net::URLVariables() at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete() Here is the relevant part of the PHP and AS3 code, including the query.     This is very similar to a question I asked the other day but my page code has become significantly more complicated and I need to revisit it. I've been using the following code: $('#myLink').click(function() { $('#myImg').attr('src', 'newImg.jpg'); setTimeout(function() { $('#myImg').attr('src', 'oldImg.jpg'); }, 15000); }); To replace an image for a set period of time (15 seconds) when the link is clicked, then after 15 seconds, revert to the original image. However now, I'd like to run a snippet of javascript as well when the link is clicked (in addition to replacing the image), and only when the link is clicked (it's related to the 15 second image) and then have the js code disappear as well after the 15 seconds...however I'm not sure how to have jquery send js code into the page...Basically I just want jQuery to "echo" this code onto the page underneath the 15 second while I am there, but I don't know how jquery formats this "echo". Does this question make sense?

  • Display ASP.NET GridView inside a selected row in another GridView

    I have been given a mockup that I do not know is possible to code in ASP.NET without being a real html and javascript wizard. I want a GridView that when a row is selected, the selected row expands and below the selected row a panel of additional information is shown, which would also include another small GridView. The idea is this would all be in-line. So if the user selected row 4, then the additional information would appear below row 4 and then after the additional information the parent GridView would continue with row 5. Ultimately I would want to do a multi-select type of set up, but first I need to figure out if this is even possible. Also, the solution must be 508 Compliant The one solution I considered was using only one "column". Then I would put all my fields in the ItemTemplate, and my detail panel content in the EditItemTemplate and instead of selecting the row, set it to edit mode. The problem with this solution is I lose the functionality of multiple columns if I throw everything in one huge ItemTemplate. Any and all suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

    Here's the code that I use to extract the icon size that I want: Dim i As Icon = My.Resources.Spectrum Using i2 As New Icon(i, New Size(256, 256)) Me.PictureBox1.Image = i2.ToBitmap End Using This works from 16x16 up to 128x128 but for 256x256 it extracts the 128x128 icon. I tried 0x0, because I seem to remember that that is how the large size is stored in the meta data, but that didn't work either.

    essetially I just want formatted HTML rendered in the UITextView, should I be using the undocumented setContentToHTMLString? I feel that I should not be using that, I have tried it, but the text (after being rendered as HTML) does not scroll properly, which is why I suspect its not documented... Should I just use a UIWebView? Can I just pass it arbitrary HTML and expect it to render it?

  • Mercurial branching a branch doesn't display right in hg serve or hg view

    I've been doing some development on a branch and realized that before it could be complete something else need to be done first. I decided that I would branch my current branch and do the requiste changes in that branch then merge them back together and then merge my working branch into default. Basically I expected this: | | + requiste work branch commit. | |/ | + working branch commit |/ +Default branch commit and in the end what I expect to do is this: + Merge into defualt |\ | + Merge requisite work into working branch | | \ | | + requiste work branch commit. | |/ | + working branch commit |/ +Default branch commit What I'm getting in both hg view and hg serve is this: | + requiste work branch commit. | | | + working branch commit |/ +Default branch commit However, when I look at the commit log "requiste work branch commit" is marked as a part of a different branch. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug in hg view and hg serve? Anyone experienced this before?

On reading Msdn on creating the multilingual string values for messagebox contents, have added the .resource file to the project files path as specified. There is no error on compilation but throws the MissingManifestResourceException error Dim rm As ResourceManager rm = ResourceManager.CreateFileBasedResourceManager("strFormResources", ".", Nothing) Dim ci As CultureInfo ci = New CultureInfo("fr-FR") MessageBox.Show(rm.GetString("sample1", ci)) Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture (or the neutral culture) on disk. baseName: strFormResources locationInfo: fileName: strFormResources.resources There is strFormResources.resources and strFormResources.fr-FR.resources in Resources of the project. I have searched for this error details but could not find a solution. What am i doing wrong or is there any other method for displaying multilingual strings in the messagebox. Thanks in advance

The tabs work absolutely fine, just the secondary views.     I'm developing an iPhone app that features a tab-bar based navigation with five tabs. Each tab contains a UITableView whose data is retrieved remotely. Ideally, I would like to use a single UIActivityIndicatorView (a subview of the window) that is started/stopped during this remote retrieval - once per tab. I'm presented with the empty table and the spinner. As soon as the content loads, the spinner goes away. Strangely, when I click the second tab, the NSLog messages from the -parseXMLFileAtURL: method show up in the log, but the screen hangs on the first tab's view and I do not see the spinner. As soon as the content is done downloading, the second tab's view appears. I suspect this has something to do with threading, with which I'm still becoming acquainted. Am I doing something obviously wrong here?

  • gnuplot: display only the roots.

    Hi, Gnuplot, a great package ... I'm in love with it. But we can have our tiffs as well, as any couple :-) This time, I wanted to simply plot the roots of an equation: say a quadratic to keep things simple. However, I only want two nice round dots appearing on the x-axis representing the point where the quadratic crosses the x-axis or y=0 axis. In other words the roots (when they are real that is). I don't want to do this with datafile ... I want gnuplot to calculate the roots and plot them. First off, my attempts: single points aren't really what gnuplot would have you plot, it likes a good wide range of values. Preferably filling up the whole width of your canvas. It's possible to locate a rectangle at a certain coordinate on your plot, but I wanted a round point. Currently I'm chasing up how to do a tiny filled polygon at that point. I have tried the "samples" option bu it doesn't seem useful. Also though about defining a dirac-delta function so that only one point would be highlighted (though two would be needed). ANy suggestions welcome, thanks.

Error code: 500 When i googled i found a event of the delGridRow function called errorTextFormat. Is this the event where i'm looking for?
