CSS3: Top align of list item

CSS3: Top align of list item. See image as below. How can I align a blue arrow to align on top of a senetence of each list. IOS How to make the view cover keyboard

I encounter the a problem: I have a view controller like this. TO make tool bar up when the keyboard appear, I move the self.view to up. [self.view setFrame:CGRectMake(self.view.frame.origin.x, self.view.frame.origin.y + keyboardFrame.size.height * (up ? -1 : 1), self.view.frame.size.width, self.view.frame.size.height)]; Now I want to click the left button in the tool bar, and appear the view that frame is same as the this keyboard. But where can I add this view? if add the subview to the self.view, it will move up with the self.view on the top of the keyboard, not cover. I'm a beginner about IOS, I have no idea about it, and have searched, but got nothing about this. another question, IF when the toolbar at the bottom, I aslo want to click the left button on it to show the view(the animation and frame both are the same as the keyboard), how can I do ? In the left navigation i have a series of check boxes and a grid view in the page body.Grid view results changes based on the check box selection,whenever i click on the links in grid view it goes to the second page and there is a link on the page which takes me back to the first page,but the check box selected value is maintained for the first time only and if we repeat the same process for the second time and i see that the first time selection of the check box is maintained.Here the grid view is placed in update panel and the check box in the left is called using .... AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="cphLeftNavigation". I've tried removing the above code referring the cphLeftNavigation and i see the results are coming up correctly and the last selected check box value is being maintained correctly and i want the same functionality to be implemented with/without update panel. Can anyone let me know,what exactly should i change to implement the above mentioned functionality.

Cannot seem to communicate between views

Generating a beveled edge for a 2D polygon

I'm trying to programmatically generate beveled edges for geometric polygons. For example, given an array of 4 vertices defining a square, I want to generate something like this. But computing the vertices of the inner shape is baffling me. Simply creating a copy of the original shape and then scaling it down will not produce the desired result most of the time. My algorithm so far involves analyzing adjacent edges (triples of vertices; e.g., the bottom-left, top-left, and top-right vertices of a square). From there, I need to find the angle between them, and then create a vertex somewhere along that angle, depending on how deep I want the bevel to be. And because I don't have much of a math background, that's where I'm stuck. How do I find that center angle? Or is there a much simpler way of attacking this problem?

TextView would not horizontally center

My layout is the following: <TextView android:id="@+id/display_city" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:layout_above="@+id/pollenType" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_below="@+id/get_pollen_index" android:layout_centerHorizontal="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:layout_marginTop="51dp" android:textSize="40sp" /> As you can tell, Philadelphia, PA is left-aligned. No matter what I change, whether it's centering horizontal and vertical to true, it stays left-aligned. I have tried changing the layout via the XML and graphical user interface. In the graphical user interface, it indeed is "centered", but it remains non-centered. My layout positions are consistent across all my textviews, so I am unsure as to why this particular TextView is not centered.

jQuery UI problem: why do the elements go flying around the screen?

Yes, I know the title sounds a little suspicious. I will try to explain this the best I can... The code below is supposed to have the blue div slide down beside the red div. The first time you hit the Show the div button, it works. Also, the Hide the div works. Then when I click to show the div again, it appears to the right of where it is supposed to be! Why is this?!? centering ul so that columns will be centered too

In my page I want it so that when you resize the page past the point of the pictures, that the pictures will go into another row, all the way so each picture has it's own row. And then potentially I won't need any media queries. But unfortunaltely I can't find a way to center. I have tried everything I can think of, aside of making hundreds of media queries with different positioning. I can't make it a block because then it won't go into rows, I have tried margin: 0 auto;. I have tried changing the padding, I have even tried using the html align="center". Nothing is working. But when it is in it's mobile state, there is no 10px padding at the bottom, and the singapore title is on the left side rather than floating. Getting highest results in a JOIN

I've got three tables; Auctions, Auction Bids and Users. The table structure looks something like this: Auctions: id title -- ----- 1 Auction 1 2 Auction 2 Auction Bids: id user_id auction_id bid_amt -- ------- ---------- ------- 1 1 1 200.00 2 2 1 202.00 3 1 2 100.00 Users is just a standard table, with id and user name. My aim is to join these tables so I can get the highest values of these bids, as well as get the usernames related to those bids; so I have a result set like so: auction_id auction_title auctionbid_amt user_username ---------- ------------- -------------- ------------- 1 Auction 1 202.00 Bidder2 2 Auction 2 100.00 Bidder1 So far my query is as follows: SELECT a.id, a.title, ab.bid_points, u.display_name FROM auction a LEFT JOIN auctionbid ab ON a.id = ab.auction_id LEFT JOIN users u ON u.id = ab.user_id GROUP BY a.id This gets the single rows I am after, but it seems to display the lowest bid_amt, not the highest.

Let's assume I have the following standard SQL query: SELECT *, COUNT(test.testId) AS noTests FROM inspection LEFT JOIN test ON inspection.inspId = test.inspId GROUP BY inspection.inspId which I want to use in JPA. I have an Inspection entity with a one-to-many relationship to a Test entity. (an inspection has many tests) I tried writing this in JPQL: Query query = em.createQuery("SELECT insp, COUNT(???what???) FROM Inspection insp LEFT JOIN insp.testList " + "GROUP BY insp.inspId"); 1) How do I write the COUNT clause? I'd have to apply count to elements from the test table but testList is a collection, so I can't do smth like COUNT(insp.testList.testId) 2) Assuming 1 is resolved, what type of object will be returned. It will definitely not be an Inspection object... How do I use the result?

How can I force the text go to the button of the panel?

At the moment I have the following code which works fine. label = new JLabel(panelLabel,SwingConstants.CENTER); outputPanel.add(label,BorderLayout.CENTER); I get the text in the center of the panel (in terms of the left-right position as well as in terms of the top-bottom). Now I want to set the position to the bottom (and center in terms of "left-right"). I tried to use SOUTH instead of the CENTER in the first line. Compiler does not complains but during the execution i get IllegalArgumentException: HorizontalAlignment. What is that?

Jquery draggable + toggleClass problem..

Why are items being placed below?

This is really confusing and I have never had this occur. For my computer, it is fine. But for anyone else's computer I have tried, it screws up. So on my site, designatease.com , the second bar down, it places the fifth item down below the first four. I am not sure why it is doing this. I want them to span across the bar but the stop at about half way. Help me out SOF. How to figure out why ssh session does not exit sometimes?

I have a C++ application that uses ssh to summon a connection to the server. I find that sometimes the ssh session is left lying around long after the command to summon the server has exited. Looking at the Centos4 man page for ssh I see the following: The session terminates when the command or shell on the remote machine exits and all X11 and TCP/IP connections have been closed. The exit status of the remote program is returned as the exit status of ssh. I see that the command has exited, so I imagine not all the X11 and TCP/IP connections have been closed. How can I figure out which of these ssh is waiting for so that I can fix my summon command's C++ application to clean up whatever is being left behind that keeps the ssh open. I wonder why this failure only occurs some of the time and not on every invocation? It seems to occur approximately 50% of the time. What could my C++ application be leaving around to trigger this?

For example, In an ActivityA there's a button to create an Intent that will start ActivityB in a new task, like this: Intent i = new Intent(this, ActivityB.class); i.setData(Uri.parse("http://www.google.com")); long timestamp = System.currentTimeMillis(); i.putExtra("ts", timestamp); i.addFlag(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK); Log.d(TAG, "Sending: " + timestamp); startActivity(i); Then in ActivityB's onResume() method, there's this code to check the timestamp: long timestamp = getIntent().getExtras().getLong("ts"); Log.d(TAG, "Receiving: " + timestamp); Now the first time I invoke ActivityB from ActivityA I get the following logs: Sending: 120006000 Receiving: 120006000 Then if I left ActivityB running in the background (by pressing Home button), and start ActivityA then invoke ActivityB again, the following is printed: Sending: 120013000 Receiving: 120006000 It seems although ActivityB is brought to front by the new Intent. The extra field in the intent is being left behind. Is this a bug or an intended behavior?

Netbeans or Eclipse for C++?

I'm currently working on a pet project and need to do C++ development on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Solaris, and I've narrowed it down to Netbeans and Eclipse, so I was wonderig which is more solid as a C++ editor. I just need solid editing, good autocompletion for templated code ad external libraries, and project file management, the build tools are external, so thats irrelevant here, for my comparison. Thus which is a better choice? Note: I know I should be using emacs or vim, but the issue is, my theory at least, that I'm left handed, so I use my right side (design,creativity) of the brain more than the left side (logic, memory), so I just simply cannot use emacs or vim, my brain simply isn't compatible, I tried them many times too, even used emacs for a few months but it drove me crazy... Thanks
