  Hi guys, I have arrays similarly to these: 0 => Array ( [0] => Finance / Shopping / Food, [1] => 47 ) 1 => Array ( [0] => Finance / Shopping / Food, [1] => 25 ) 2 => Array ( [0] => Finance / Shopping / Electronic, [1] => 190 ) I need to create one array with [0] as a key and [1] as value. The tricky part is that if the [0] is same it add [1] to existing value. So the result I want is: array ([Finance / Shopping / Food]=> 72, [Finance / Shopping / Electronic] => 190); thanks

• Open another application from your own (intent)

  I know how to update my own programs, and I know how to open programs using the a predefined Uri (for sms or email for example) I need to know how I can create an Intent to open MyTracks or any other application that I don't know what intents they listen to. I got this info from DDMS, but I havn't been succesful in turning this to an Intent I can use. This is taken from when opening MyTracks manually. • How to extract a submatrix from a matrix .. ?

  Hello, I have a matrix in a txt file and I want to load the matrix based on my input of number of rows and columns For example, I have a 5 by 5 matrix in the file. I want to extract a 3 by 3 matrix, how can I do that ?   I have a problem in replacing codes in a dataframe of 3890 observations. My dataframe has a character variable df$IJN which contains values from 1 to 27. I would like to replace these with meaningful data as follow If(1 OR 6 OR 10 OR 14 OR 18 OR 22 OR 26) should be replaced with UL. If(3 OR 7 OR 11 OR 15 OR 19 OR 23 OR 27) should be replaced with LL. If(4 OR 8 OR 12 OR 16 OR 20 OR 24) should be replaced with UR. If(5 OR 9 OR 13 OR 17 OR 21 OR 25) should be replaced with LR. (U,L,R,and L Refer to Upper, Lower, Right, and Left sites in the order) I thought of a for() with if() could not manage with it Also thought of df[which(df=="27")] ="LL" may work one by one not sure! But keep getting string out of bounch exeption and i start wondering if i am handling this in the wrong way. Anyone that can put me in the right direction in how to solve this?

• Multiple svn projects into one git repository?

  Hi, I have started to use git-svn for some of my work to be able to do local commits. This works great for projects that use standard svn layout. Recently I started working on a Java project that is split into multiple connected modules (20-25), and each module have its own root folder in the same svn repo with its own trunk/branches/tags. svnrepo/ module-1 trunk branches tags module-N trunk branches tags I have cloned each and every module with git svn clone -s /path/to/svnrepo/module[1-N]. The "problem" is that when I want to do git svn rebase on all modules i have to do it N times. I have tried to do git svn clone /path/to/svnrepo/ do avoid doing the rebase operation N times, but that leaves me with a directory layout that is the same as in the svn repo. Is there a way that I can track all the trunks of all modules in one git repo? So that I get a directory layout like this within my git repository: module-1 module-2 module-N

• Removing item from a comma delimited string when removed from list view

  I'm using a combo box to select an item from a list of 25 items. The selected item is input in a text box in a comma delimited string. It is updating a list view and showing each item separately by breaking the comma delimited string. The text box is not visible to users but doing the work in back end. Now I want to remove any item from list view and want it so that the text box containing the comma delimited string should also change and remove that item from the string. Is it possible?

• What can cause reset connection when running PHP script?

  I've developed a web application with CodeIgniter that works perfectly on my local machines (one with windows and one with Linux). When I moved it to my hosting server, connection gets reset when running one particular PHP script that does a few MySQL queries and some operations on arrays. The data I'm querying is small, just a few tables with up to 25 records. Firefox returns "The connection was reset" after maybe 2-3 seconds. I checked the servers error logs but there was nothing there. Unfortunately I don't have access to Apache error logs. What can cause this behavior?

• Wordpress SQL_CALC fix causes PHP error

  I'm looking for some followup on an older topic for Wordpress where SQL_CALC was found to slow things down when you have a large DB in Wordpress. • jquery.position() isn't working correctly.

  I'm working on a menu system where I want a ul to show as a dropdown when the users does a mouseOver on li in another ul. I thought I'd use position to set the position of the dropdown (so it actually looks like a menu). What I want is the dropdown's top left corner to start at the same place as the bottom left corner of the wrapping listitem. Unfortunately the positioning fails in several different ways: In Firefox it seems like the dropdown's are offset with approximately -100 25 pixels the first item in the list has a different offset on the left side compared to the other items The offset in IE is not the same as in FF Doing the positioning repeatedly in explorer results in different positions each time. Now i want to create one big array with all the pixel values of all the images. Therefore I have to call this method several times. • Get the sum by comparing between two tables

  I have to tables ProdBiscuit As tb and StockData As sd , I have to get the sum of the quantity in StockData (quantite) with the condition of if (sd.status0 AND sd.prodid = tb.id AND sd.matcuisine = 3) Here is my sql query SELECT tb.id, tb.nom, tb.proddate, tb.qty, tb.stockrecno FROM ProdBiscuit AS tb JOIN (SELECT id, prodid, matcuisine, status, SUM(quantite) AS rq FROM StockData) AS sd ON (tb.id = sd.prodid AND sd.status > 0 AND sd.matcuisine = 3) LIMIT 25 OFFSET @Myid This gives me no rows at all ? There is only 3 rows in ProdBiscuit and 11 rows in Stockdata and there is only 2 rows in StockData good with the condition. And as shown in the picture there is only two rows which give the condition. What is wrong in my query ? PS: The green lines on the image shows the condition in my query.

• How can I decrease time opening myisam table in an "union all" of the same table??

  I have a myisam table with 2.5M rows, I use an union all to get my results as following: (SELECT t.id FROM t WHERE type=1 LIMIT 10) UNION ALL (SELECT t.id FROM t WHERE type=2 LIMIT 10) ... UNION ALL (SELECT t.id FROM t WHERE type=25 LIMIT 10) the time to opening the table t is about 6ms. With a single request: SELECT t.id FROM t WHERE type=1 LIMIT 10 the time is about 1ms. What I don't understand is why mysql spend more time to the same table in union all. It should recognize that is the same table and so just opening at the first union. Does anybody can help me to decrease the time for opening table in a "union all"? Thanks in advance!
