    It is necessary to convert the site into CMS. One of the main features - edit the articles of some type, and to do so will be non-programmers, that is, the simpler the better. Ideally - no editor like ckeditor, but simply wizard, where its possible to insert images, text, title text, and it's all displayed in the page default template. Whenever I edit and mark some events via the calendar app, it is stored in the database but if I edit the calendar.db from some outside source the changes made are not reflected in the calendar app. So my question is: Does the calendar app maintain a cache or some other form of database? If yes then where and how?

But some of these sites are showing some advertise banners at the end of each article. Should I remove that banners from feed? Am I legally/ethically allowed to do this? And what about If I want to put some other ads on my application? (Right at the end of each article) I mean, If I want to have my own advertising service...

Update: And what if I use feed for content titles and summaries, but use other thing, like Readability API to show full article, and then put my own ads below content? (Readability gets the HTML page, and gives you a clean page without any ads and such.)

Wondering which url scheme is more appropriate for a stock market data app (BTW, all queries will be GETs as the client doesn't modify data): Scheme 1 examples: /stocks/ABC/news /indexes/XYZ/news /stocks/ABC/time_series/daily /stocks/ABC/time_series/weekly /groups/ABC/time_series/daily /groups/ABC/time_series/weekly Scheme 2 examples: /news/stock/ABC /news/index/XYZ /time_series/stock/ABC/daily /time_series/stock/ABC/weekly /time_series/index/XYZ/daily /time_series/index/XYZ/weekly Scheme 3 examples: /news/stock/ABC /news/index/XYZ /time_series/daily/stock/ABC /time_series/weekly/stock/ABC /time_series/daily/index/XYZ /time_series/weekly/index/XYZ Scheme 4: Something else??? The point is that for any data being requested, the url needs to encapsulate whether an item is a Stock or an Index.   • iPhone OS: Posting an image + text "story" to a user's news feed through the facebook api

    So what I am trying to do is post an image that has been created by a user on an iphone into that users newsfeed. The functionality I am having a hard time understanding if it is possible: Can I pass a local NSURL (or URL?)(to a png file that lives in the documents folder) through a JSON string and onto Facebook? i want to mimic the action of a user going to his/her facebook page, clicking into the textfield for their newsfeeld, uploading an image by clicking the "photos" icon and selecting an image from a local disk and uploading it. I would also like to add some text into the post optionally. I'm just getting started with the Facebook api and it seems pretty tough right now, any help would be appreciated. code examples appreciated. Thanks, Nick

    I'm currently recoding a bar chart in my app to make use of the Chart class in the WPF Toolkit. Using MVVM, I'm binding the ItemsSource of a ColumnSeries in my chart to a property on my viewmodel. Here's the relevant XAML: <charting:Chart> <charting:ColumnSeries ItemsSource="{Binding ScoreDistribution.ClassScores}" IndependentValuePath="ClassName" DependentValuePath="Score"/> </charting:Chart> And the property on the viewmodel: // NB: viewmodel derived from Josh Smith's BindableObject public class ExamResultsViewModel : BindableObject { // ... private ScoreDistributionByClass _scoreDistribution; public ScoreDistributionByClass ScoreDistribution { get { return _scoreDistribution; } set { if (_scoreDistribution == value) { return; } _scoreDistribution = value; RaisePropertyChanged(() => ScoreDistribution); } } However, when I update the ScoreDistribution property (by setting it to a new ScoreDistribution object), the chart gets an additional series (based on the new ScoreDistribution) as well as keeping the original series (based on the previous ScoreDistribution). To illustrate this, here are a couple of screenshots showing the chart before an update (with a single data point in ScoreDistribution.ClassScores) and after it (now with 3 data points in ScoreDistribution.ClassScores): Now, I realise there are other ways I could be doing this (e.g. changing the contents of the original ScoreDistribution object rather than replacing it entirely), but I don't understand why it's going wrong in its current form. Can anyone help?

    I'm trying to write a script that will show the rss version of a single url (title, author, image, source, etc..). This should behave much the way that facebook does when you copy paste a link to share and it generates this information automatically. I'm trying to do this with a php script but would also be open to opensource programs that can do this as well. also, if anyone knows of any Joomla/Drupal plugins that can do this that would be great. This may eventually end up on a site run on one of these frameworks. thanks!!

  • Distinguish between single and double click events in Qt

    I have a QAbstractItemView that needs to react to single and double click events. The actions are different depending on whether it was single clicked or double clicked. The problem that is occurring is that the single click event is received prior to the double click event. Is there a recommended way/best practice for distinguishing between the two? I don't want to perform the single click action when the user has actually double clicked. I am using Qt 4.6
