  • Export Flash Animation to ActionScript

    Hi I would like to make an animation using some tool (like e.g. Flash CS) and then export it for ActionScript. I thought this could be done in Flash CS but I just tried it by making an animation, converting it to a symbol and then selecting "Export for ActionScript". The problem: in the project folder there are no ActionScript classes generated. Am I doing it wrong or do I have to use a different tool to do the animation? Many many thanks for your help, Gloria

Is there any tool out there to automatically create admin side of my sites, for example, based on table relationships or whatever customization we may put in place.     Ok, so I was perusing the mono site and noticed there are Novell tools I can purchase for Visual Studio that will let me choose to compile in Mono? My confusion is, if I am using a tool set such as MVC 2 and other Frameworks, and I use those tools to compile to mono, how exactly does that play into things? I mean don't those tool sets need to be recompiled using Mono?

    I have created freemind maps using the tool, right now in the process of integrating the map with my web application. I have some questions on the usage of freemind maps 1) Instead of using the freemindbrowser.html and the jar file to integrate a map with a website/ web app, can we do an export to Javascript from the tool and then integrate that exported file (.html) with the web site? 2) I want to be able to add javascript functions on events like node click, how do I do that?     We're currently evaluating different Java reporting engines, and having a web-based ad-hoc report designer is a requirement. We don't need anything too fancy, but we need users to be able to define a report with columns X, grouped by Y, sorted by Z, etc... We've found that many of the open source tools do have graphical report designers, but the designers are typically not web based. (For example, iReport from JasperReports seems to be an application, not a web tool) Can anyone recommend a reporting tool which meets this web-based requirement?

  • c++ normalizing data sizes across systems

    I have a struct with three variables: two unsigned ints and an unsigned char. From my understanding, a c++ char is always 1 byte regardless of what operating system it is on. The same can't be said for other datatypes. I am looking for a way to normalize POD's so that when saved into a binary file, the resulting file is readable on any operating system that the code is compiled for. I changed my struct to use a 1-byte alignment by adding #pragma as follows: #pragma pack(push, 1) struct test { int a; } #pragma pack(pop) but that doesn't necessarily mean that int a is exactly 4 bytes on every os, I don't think? Is there a way to ensure that a file saved from my code will always be readable?
