  • Is it possible to run locally JRuby on Google App Engine without restarting server on every change?

    Unfortunately, GAE requires restart of the server on each code change. Is it possible to prevent it and have immediate feedback after code save? Or, can I import Google App Engine's API into my ruby code and run it on Sinatra server? Tried this but it fails on "import com.google.appengine.api" (it doesn't know what 'com' is). For Sinatra, I use "Rerun" ( http://github.com/alexch/rerun ) which restarts server immediately after a change with minimum wait. Thanks.

  • Problem with Landscape and Portrait view in a TabBar Application

    I have an TabBar app that I would like to be in landscape and portrait. The issue is when I go to tab 2 make a selection from my table then select tab 1 and rotate the device, then select tab 2 again the content does not know that the device rotated and will not display my custom orientated content correctly. I am trying to write a priovate method that tells the view what orientation it is currently in. IN viewDidLoad I am assuming it is in portrait but in shouldAutoRotate I have it looking in the private method for the correct alignment of the content. Please Help!!     I use embedded servers that run inside Junit test cases. Sometimes these servers require a working directory (for example the Apache Directory server). The new @Rule in Junit 4.7 can handle these cases. The TemporaryFolder-Rule can create a temporary directory. A custom ExternalResource-Rule can be created for server. However this does not work because Junit processes the rules in reverse order as they are defined in the file. The TemporaryFolder Rule will not be executed before the server Rule. Thus the root-folder in TempraryFolder will be null, resulting that any files are created relative to the current working directory. If I reverse the order of the attributes in my class I get a compile error because I cannot reference a variable before it is defined. I'm using Junit 4.8.1 (because the ordering of rules was fixed a bit from the 4.7 release)

Main-Class: highmark.test.Main It seems to be ignoring Class-Path: . , This jar file runs fine when I run it using Java explicitly, This is just a test, in reality this jar file is coming as a InputStream and it cannot be stored in filesystem, How can I overcome this problem , Is there any workaround ?     I have a python method that returns a Python byte array.array('c'). Now, I want to copy this array using System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.Copy. This method however expects a .NET array. import array from System.Runtime.InteropServices import Marshal bytes = array.array('c') bytes.append('a') bytes.append('b') bytes.append('c') Marshal.Copy(bytes, dest, 0, 3) Is there a way to make this work without copying the data? If not, how do I convert the data in the Python array to the .NET array?

  • Probelm with String.split() in java

    What I am trying to do is read a .java file, and pick out all of the identifiers and store them in a list. My problem is with the .split() method. If you run this code the way it is, you will get ArrayOutOfBounds, but if you change the delimiter from "." to anything else, the code works. This is on Ubuntu Jaunty, I've made sure that the PYTHONPATH contains the location of Django-1.1.1 yet I'm getting this 'ImportError: No module named django' error when it tries to execute the use_library() line below. In the viewWillAppear method from this ViewController I do the things shown in the code above. The following problems appear: Navigation back has to be done two times (one for the Kal calendar, one for my created view) Navigation to my main view is not possible anymore In the moment I don't know where to put this code. So the question is where to put the methods for allocation/initialization as well as the methods for the UITableViewDelegate protocol.

  • Error using paho-mqtt in App Engine Python App

    I am trying to right a Google Cloud Platform app in python with Flask that makes an MQTT connection. I have included the paho python library by doing pip install paho-mqtt -t libs/. However, when I try to run the app, even if I don't try to connect to MQTT. I get a weird error about IP address checking: RuntimeError: error('illegal IP address string passed to inet_pton',) It seems something in the remote_socket lib is causing a problem. Is this a security issue? Is there someway to disable it?
