    Hi Guys, Here is my problem. I have a site in drupal and some menu structure. When the URL address is application/android/all android menu item is highlighted. However, when the URL address is application/android/16 android menu item is not highlighted.   • Rails - Active Record :conditions overrides :select

    I have a fairly large model and I want to retrieve only a select set of fields for each record in order to keep the JSON string I am building small. Using :select with find works great but my key goal is to use conditional logic with an associated model. Is the only way to do this really with a lamda in a named scope? I'm dreading that perhaps unnecessarily but I'd like to understand if there is a way to make the :select work with a condition. This works: @sites = Site.find :all, :select => 'id,foo,bar' When I try this: @sites = Site.find :all, :select => 'id,foo,bar', :include => [:relatedmodel], :conditions => ["relatedmodel.type in (?)", params[:filters]] The condition works but each record includes all of the Site attributes which makes my JSON string way way too large.   • How can I redirect directory using htaccess including files with spaces in the names

    Hi, I am dealing with a situation where someone has handed me a bunch of old files on the server which already have a lot of incoming links directly to them (mostly pdf files). I now have the files organized but in a different directory. Before it was 'domain/manuals/file' now it is 'domain/media/manual/file'. I am trying to resolve this issue using an htaccess file. Many of the files have spaces in the names (not something I can control) and because they already have links to them I can't just go through renaming them. I have found that I can redirect files individually when they have spaces in the names by using quotes such as: redirect 301 "/manuals/file 123.pdf" "http://www.domain.com/manuals/file 123.pdf" However, there are loads of these files and I wondered if there is a way to create a regular expression that will handle spaces in file names that I could use to redirect the entire directory. I should add that some files contain decent file names with no spaces in, some have one space and others more than one space. It's not pretty. If you've encountered this problem before I would really appreciate hearing your advice, I'm running out of ideas. Thanks.

    I'm brand new to Rails, so bear with me. I have 3 models: User, Section, and Tick. Each section is created by a user. My guess with this association: class Section < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :user end Next, each user can "tick" off a section -- only once. So for each tick, I have a section_id, user_id, and timestamps. Here's where I'm stuck. Does this call for a "has_one :through" association? If so, which direction? If not, then I'm way off. Which association works here? Thanks!

    I'm using Delayed_Job to grab a Twitter user's data from the API, but it's not saving it in the model for some reason! Please help!   • Any active Bold for Delphi users ?

    What are you using as a persistance framework when programming in Delphi? If the application is growing it soon became really complicated to handle the model in SQL ? Bold is a persistance framework for Delphi win32 that really deserve more attention. I use it daily and using OCL instead of SQL to get data from the database saves a lot of time and debugging. When the model is changed Bold translate this to an SQL script and change the database. EDIT: For those that are interested in Bold for Delphi I have spend this evening on create a site on Google about it. I'm not a guru in html so the design is maybe not so exciting.   • Business Objects ver 3 Alternate Row/Column Colors not active

    I am converting reports from version 2 to version 3. When I select the vertical table in the report, the propeties box appears but any changes I make is not reflected in the table. If I change any attributes at the column or cell level however, the changes are taken. The problem is that some attributes like alternate row coloring are not available at the column level.

    So I have my rails application and I have blog posts in my application. For starters I am on rails 2.3.5 and Ruby 1.8.7 For the show page, I am required to give a prev/next link to the prev/next blog post. The catch is that I need to find the next blog where the language column in the database is equal to 'eng'. I had started writing this out in my model and it works but of course this will just find the prev/next record in the database no matter what the language is specified in the column and it will break when the record is not found. def next(lang='eng') BlogEntry.find(self.id - 1) end def prev(lang='eng') BlogEntry.find(self.id + 1) end

  • Parse files in directory/insert in database

    Hey there, Here is my dillema... I have a directory full of .txt comma delimited files arranged as shown below. What I want to do is to import each of these into a SQL or SQLite database, appending each one below the last. (1 table)... I am open to C# or VB scripting and just not sure how to accomplish this. I want to only extract and import the data starting BELOW the 'Feat. Type,Feat. Name, etc' line. These are stored in a \mynetwork\directory\stats folder on my network drive. Ideally I will be able to add functionality that will make the software/script know not to re-add the file to the database once it has already done so as well.   • Grails external Jms broker (active mq)

    I have what will become an 'external' activemq server I'd like grails to be able to talk to. Right now I am just running it on my dev box. Here is what I have setup right now: 1) Run activemq server 2) Run activemq/examples using ant to produce messages 3) View ActiveMQ admin site: http://localhost:8161/admin/queues.jsp verify that messages are in the queue. 4) Follow Mini Tutorial to create the Service and Controller: http://www.grails.org/ActiveMQ+Plugin 5) Configured my Grails resources.groovy file as follows: beans = { jmsConnectionFactory(SingleConnectionFactory){ targetConnectionFactory = { ActiveMQConnectionFactory cf -> brokerURL = 'tcp://localhost:61616' } } } When I run the grails app I get a BindException saying port 61616 is already in use. How do I configure this to use my server that is already running? I've tried changing 'localhost' to '127.0.0.1' and to my LAN ip, but no luck, it keeps trying to setup its own embedded activemq server. Any ideas?

  • Running Sitecore Production Site under a Virtual Directory

    We are using Sitecore 6 on a Windows Server 2003 (32bit) dev machine. I know it's not recommended for the CMS editing site, but we've been told it is possible to get the front-end Sitecore websites to run from within a virtual directory. Here's the issue: we'd like to achieve what the below poor mans diagram shows. We have a website (.net 1.1) /WebSiteRoot (.net 1.1) | | |---- Custom .net 1.1 Web Application | |---- SiteCore frontend WebApplication (.net 2.0) | |---- Custom .net 2.0 WebApplication The Sitecore webApplication would contain the Sitecore pipeline in its web.config and we'd make use of the section to configure the virtual folder to allow for where our Sitecore app sits and point it to the appropriate place in the Content Tree. Is it possible to pull this off? This is just the customer facing website, there will be no CMS editing functionality on these servers, that will be done from a more standard Sitecore install inside the firewall on a different server. The errors we're encountering are centered around loading the the various config files in the App_Config folder. It seems to do a Server.MapPath on "/" initially (which is wrong for us) so we've tried putting absolute paths in the web.config and still no joy (I think there must be some hardcoded piece that looks for the Include directory). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    I need to extract the name of the direct sub directory from a full path string. For example, say we have: $str = "dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4/filename.ext"; $dir = "dir1/dir2"; Then the name of the sub-directory in the $str path relative to $dir would be "dir3". Note that $dir never has '/' at the ends. So the function should be: $subdir = getsubdir($str,$dir); echo $subdir; // Outputs "dir3" If $dir="dir1" then the output would be "dir2". If $dir="dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4" then the output would be "" (empty). If $dir="" then the output would be "dir1". Etc.. Currently this is what I have, and it works (as far as I've tested it). I'm just wondering if there's a simpler way since I find I'm using a lot of string functions. Maybe there's some magic regexp to do this in one line? (I'm not too good with regexp unfortunately). function getsubdir($str,$dir) { // Remove the filename $str = dirname($str); // Remove the $dir if(!empty($dir)){ $str = str_replace($dir,"",$str); } // Remove the leading '/' if there is one $si = stripos($str,"/"); if($si == 0){ $str = substr($str,1); } // Remove everything after the subdir (if there is anything) $lastpart = strchr($str,"/"); $str = str_replace($lastpart,"",$str); return $str; } As you can see, it's a little hacky in order to handle some odd cases (no '/' in input, empty input, etc). I hope all that made sense. Any help/suggestions are welcome.

    I seem to be unable to use :order_by for more than one column at a time. For example, I have a "Show" model with date and attending columns.   • What causes a UIViewController to become active?

    I am sure this is an easy question, but one that has escaped me for some time now. Say I have a UIViewController, either defined as a root in an XIB or on a stack. At some point in my code I want to replace it with another view controller. Just flat out replace it. How would I do that? I have tried defining the controller and assigning, but not sure what actually makes it push on the screen with the absence of a navigation controller.

The 'work' table has a 'draft' column with values of either 1 or 0. I want the COUNT(tags.id) to take into account whether the work with the specific tag is in draft mode (1) or not. Say there are 10 pieces of work tagged with, for example, 'design'. The COUNT will be 10. But 2 of these pieces of work are in draft mode, so the COUNT should really be 8. How do I manage this?
