    My APK is big, 70 MB. I don't have any problems when I install it in external storage, but when I upload it to phone before installing, the APK goes to internal storage and my testing phone doesn't have enough space in internal storage and a lot of android phones don't have enough internal space for 70 MB... Can I upload my APK straight to the SD Card instead of internal storage first? upload mean "upload from my eclipse while runnig , or download from market, apk will go to internal storage but i want apk go to external and start install from external"

    Hi, I have an application where I receive each data 40.000 rows. I have 5 million rows to handle (500 Mb MySQL 5.0 database). Actually, thoses rows are stored in the same table = slow to update, hard to backup, ... Which king of scheme is used in such application to allow long term accessibility to the datas without problems with too big tables, easy backup, fast read / write ?     I've read in multiple places, including highly recommended PHP books published several years ago, that PHP 6 was just over the horizon, and would fix several of the BIG outstanding issues with PHP (namely unicode support). However, its been several years even since I've read those books, and PHP 6 is still not considered kosher for production use. Is there a specific feature that is proving difficult to implement or is it a simple lack of community desire to develop PHP 6?

    Hi I am beginner for SSH stuff but i want to dump a big sql file and for that i need to be able to navigate to the appropriate path in my hosting account. I managed to login to SSH and i typed pwdbut it gave me a shared hosting pathway like /home/content/r/o/s/roshanjonah How Can i go to the path where i upload my files to...i use FTP but in FTP path it just shows / so i cannot go any further back than that...so using SSH how can i come to this path in ftp...   • NSXMLParser + encoding="windows-1257"

    So i'm making small program and it download ziped XML database file that is ~30 MB size (unziped). As I understand there is only way with such big files on iPhone, it's to use NSXMLParser. But that file is encoded with windows-1257 format and NSXMLParser does not eat files like that. What can I do? Is there a way to change file encoding on iphone or make NSXMLParser work with other then UTF8 encoded files?

As long as something fits RAM it's fine - once it's too big it gets ridiculously slow (in many different scenarios).     I'm getting errno==49 (EADDRNOTAVAIL) when trying to UDP-bind() to 127.0.0.1:47346 running Mac OS X on a G5 (big endian PowerPC). Is there something preventing me from doing so? I've tried other addresses and ports (192.168.1.2 and port 47346) but with no success.   • Resizing canvas, where's the problem?

If the pictures height becomes to big for the window then the picture should resize itself according to the height and not the width.   • CakePHP: Can I ignore a field when reading the Model from the DB?

    In one of my models, I have a "LONGTEXT" field that has a big dump of a bunch of stuff that I never care to read, and it slows things down, since I'm moving much more data between the DB and the web app. Is there a way to specify in the model that I want CakePHP to simply ignore that field, and never read it or do anything with it? I really want to avoid the hassle of creating a separate table and a separate model, only for this field. Thanks! Daniel
