I want to add a functionality that when i double click (multi touch) on a map the map should zoom in.   • Django save_m2m() and excluded field

    hi, in a ModelForm I replaced a field by excluding it and adding a new one with the same name, as shown below in AddRestaurantForm. When saving the form with the code shown below, I get an error in form.save_m2m() ("Truncated incorrect DOUBLE value"), which seems to be due to the function to attempt to save the tag field, while it is excluded. Is the save_m2m() function supposed to save excluded fields? Is there anything wrong in my code?     Hi I am using the class public class SerializableDictionary : Dictionary, IXmlSerializable in order to serialize a dictionary. However it doesnt work when as values I have collelctions (eg List) or tyes other than the primitive types (eg. int, double, string....). My question is which types the TKey, TValue imply or can hold, and if there is way to have a serializable dictionary which collections as values.

  • text from a file turned into a variable?

    If I made a program that stores strings on a text file using the "list"-function(#include ), and then I want to copy all of the text from that file and call it something(so I can tell the program to type in all of the text I copied somewhere by using that one variable to refer to the text), do I use a string,double,int or what do I declare that chunk of text as? I'm making the program using c++ in a simple console application.

    what is the best way to handle floating point numbers in XML? If I have, for instance: double a = 123.456; and I would like to keep it as <A> 123.456 </A> simply using ... myDoc.createTextNode(a.ToString()); is fine? Or should it be done with some Globalization stuff to make it region-independent?

  • doublebuffering not reducing the flicker

    I am drawing an grid-work of objects in a Panel. when I scroll the the panel quickly I get a flicker. I thought that enabling the double buffering may take care of this but what I find is that it does not completely draw everything and I am left with blank sections. could anyone give me suggestions as to what may be happening and how I might correct it. UPDATE: I found that I was creating the graphics object with Creategraphics() rather than using the Parameter in the paint method

  • Can MySQL reasonably perform queries on billions of rows?

    I am planning on storing scans from a mass spectrometer in a MySQL database and would like to know whether storing and analyzing this amount of data is remotely feasible. I know performance varies wildly depending on the environment, but I'm looking for the rough order of magnitude: will queries take 5 days or 5 milliseconds? Input format Each input file contains a single run of the spectrometer; each run is comprised of a set of scans, and each scan has an ordered array of datapoints. There is a bit of metadata, but the majority of the file is comprised of arrays 32- or 64-bit ints or floats. Proposed schema I'm planning on doing things "right" (i.e. normalizing the data like crazy) and so would have a runs table, a spectra table with a foreign key to runs, and a datapoints table with a foreign key to spectra. The 200 Billion datapoint question I am going to be analyzing across multiple spectra and possibly even multiple runs, resulting in queries which could touch millions of rows. Assuming I index everything properly (which is a topic for another question) and am not trying to shuffle hundreds of MiB across the network, is it remotely plausible for MySQL to handle this? UPDATE: additional info The scan data will be coming from files in the XML-based mzML format. The meat of this format is in the <binaryDataArrayList> elements where the data is stored. Each scan produces = 2 <binaryDataArray> elements which, taken together, form a 2-dimensional (or more) array of the form [[123.456, 234.567, ...], ...]. These data are write-once, so update performance and transaction safety are not concerns.   • zend framework version trouble

    Hi, am 100% sure I downloaded and extracted version 1.8 of ZF, but then when I go to console and typed "zf show version" it says am using 1.9.6, yes I do have 1.9.6 but it is "Compressed" and untouched, how could this be possible ?, I double checked my system variables, there's no evidence of ZF there. I also checked my php.ini file, it's pointed to the location of the extracted 1.8 ZF.. please help. this is my first attempt in using ZF

  • Is there a better way to declare an empty, typed matrix in MATLAB?

    Is there a way to "declare" a variable with a particular user-defined type in MATLAB? zeros() only works for built-in numeric types. The only solution I've come up with involves using repmat() to duplicate a dummy object zero times: arr = repmat(myClass(), [1 0]) Without declaring variables this way, any code which does "arr(end+1) = myClass()" has to include a special case for the default empty matrix which is of type double. Have I missed something a little more sensible?

  • Maximize application in system tray?

    I wrote a little WPF app that when 'closed' minimizes to the system tray (customer requirement). Double clicking pops it back up, or right click gives a context menu to exit. But if the app is minimized, and the users navigate to Start-All Programs-The Application it starts a new instance. What (in C#) do I need to do to get the app to maximize the running instance if the user does this rather than fire up a new instance? Thanks!

  • Visual Studio Default Open File Action

    I am using Visual Studio 2008 with C#. Is there a way to set the default editor for a class file containing a DataTable derived class? Whenever I double click on one of these classes to open the file VS attempts to open a component designer. Since my class isn't compatible with that editor this is a rather useless default. I would like these files to open up in the normal code editor.
