• Pulling international street addresses / phone numbers from free-form text

  Hey, folks. I'm looking for some regular expressions to help grab street addresses and phone numbers from free-form text (a la Gmail). Given some text: "John, I went to the store today, and it was awesome! Did you hear that they moved to 500 Green St.? ... Give me a call at +14252425424 when you get a chance." I'd like to be able to pull out: 500 Green St. (recognized as a street address) +14252425424 (recognized as a phone number) What makes this problem easier is that I don't care about parsing text that gets pulled out. That is, I don't care that Green is the name of the road or that 425 is the area code. I just want to grab strings that "look like" addresses or telephone numbers. Unfortunately, this needs to work internationally, as best as possible. Anyone have any leads? Thanks!

  Hello- I'm complete noob in Cakephp - here goes... I have a website set up with Cakephp framework. I have been tasked with creating two dropdown forms to compare/show data. When the user selects an item from the dropdown from either one of the forms it is to show the content below on website. I was thinking this data would need to be stored in an xml file. • PHP: Parsing of a given form input variable

  How would I go about parsing incoming form data where the name changes based on section of site like: <input type="radio" name="Motorola section" value="Ask a question"> where 'Motorola section may be that, or Verizon section, or Blackberry section, etc. I do not have any control over changing the existing forms unfortunately, so must find a way to work with what is there. Basically, I need to be able to grab both the name="" data as well as its coresponding value="" data to be able to populate the email that gets sent properly.

• Two part form in Rails

  I have some two nested resources, so that a Product can have many Bookings. On one page in a different controller I want to create a new booking and since it's a "general" booking I want a select menu to appear in a modal window where the user is able to pick one of the existing products and then go to the booking page. How can I do this? I have no problem setting up the modal and the "New booking" page is already there. What I need is a form that generates a list of existing products, picks the selected product id and then gets /products/:product_id/bookings/new . Any help appreciated! I realize my title does not describe my problem very good so better suggestions are highly welcome!

• maintain formatting entered into an html form?

  Im setting up a web form, and I'm trying to have it where visitors can paste their resumes into a text area. Then I want to email the info using php mail(). But the resume info is just stored in the variable as one long string with no formatting. Is there a way I can send the pasted resume text to the client in the resume format? Maintaining all the line breaks and stuff? He wants to avoid having people upload resumes.

• Want to 'sandbox' user form submitted HTML

  Hi all. I have a user form with a textarea that allows users to submit html formatted data. The html itself is limited by PHP strip_tags, but of course that does no completion checking etc. My basic problem is that should a user leave a tag unclosed, such as the tag, then all the content following that, including page content that follows that is 'outside' the user content display area, could now be malformed. Checking for proper tag completion is one solution I will look at, but ideally I'd like to firewall the user htmlified content away from the rest of the site somehow. Any suggestions on the best approach? Thanks!

  I'm trying to remove a dynamic form field by click a button. It will also subtract whatever values it had from the total amount from my calculation.   I have spent over 2 hours scouring the net trying to figure this out. I am trying to stop multiple form submission any faster than 60 seconds. Please wait at least 60 seconds'); else $_SESION['last_submit'] = time(); I found this bit here on the site but haven't been able to figure anything else out as far as getting it to work. I have this bit of code on my page at the beginning that does the DB query with the previous pages POST results. Do I need to set $last_submit to a certain value? Any help is appreciated.

• Play Framework Form "fold" method naming rationale

  Play Framework's (2.x) Form class has a method called fold who's usage is indicated as: anyForm.bindFromRequest().fold( f => redisplayForm(f), t => handleValidFormSubmission(t) ) Essentially, the first function parameter is what gets executed on binding failure, and the 2nd on binding success. To me it seems similar to the 'success' and 'error' callbacks of jquery's ajax function. My question is why did the Play developers call the method "fold"? As a disclaimer I am new to Scala, but I am failing to see the connection between this and the functional Scala fold operation. The only similarity is that it is a higher order function; but I don't see any combining that is taking place, nor does it delegate internally in its implementation to any of the Scala fold functions.

• Empty $_POST data

  I am trying to post a post to my MyBB server from a Python script, but try as I might, I can't get it to work. The request shows up in the forensic log and the headers are in the $_SERVER variable, but $_POST is always an empty array. The error log shows nothing, even at the debug level. I've already tried searching, but I haven't found anything that's helped. I already checked the post_max_size thing, which is 8M. Another factor is that it's just my own requests which aren't going through. Browser generated requests seem to do just fine. I've looked and looked, but I can't find anything I'm doing differently that should matter. Anyway, here is an example request. • Avoiding spam filters on my CentOS 5.5 64bit server?

  I run a social network on my web server, with about 15,000 members right now. My administration section let's me Mass Email all my users. Currently it uses the built in PHP mail function. What is the best way to congfigure my server to bypass spam? Can I install anything on the server? Or should I just make the social network use SMTP? The admin panel lets me choose SMTP or built-in mail function. I'm not to familiar with mailing from servers, as I usually use Aweber for my mailing, but I cannot use Aweber for this as they will not let me just import 15,000 emails. Let me know, thanks.

  I had a working Postfix server, but added a few lines to my main.cf in a hope to block some common spam. • DKIM, spam probability, signing with key at mail server vs sender domain?

  I'm working on an email marketing tool and so far we've been recommending our customers to set up an SPF-record (Sender-ID) and a DKIM-record, we also have our own SPF-record on the mail server and a shared DKIM-record for those who do not set up their own DKIM-record. Those that do not set up their own DKIM-records still pass the DKIM-test, but with the notice that "identity doesn't match any headers" (according to port25), i.e, it doesn't match the textual sender domain. But does anyone know if this "discrepancy" actually has any impact on spam scoring/probability, i.e, should we continue to recommend our customers to set up a DKIM-record (as opposed to just using our shared) or is just wasted effort?

• Sending mail via Exchange, why am I being flagged as spam?

  Exchange 2007 uses direct DNS for all outgoing mail. Mail that is sent from our public IP (1.2.3.4 - this is the IP of my mailserver) is delivered to the spam folders for providers such as Comcast and yahoo. Currently, our SPF looks like this: v=spf1 ip4:1.2.3.4 mx a:mail.domain.com ?all MX: mail.domain.com.(10) The reverse DNS entry on our ISP is mail.domain.com for our IP The banner HELO response from our server is <220 mail.domain.com Our IP address is NOT blacklisted anywhere, and the Cisco Senderbase gives us a score of Good What is the reason our mail doesn't look legit?
