But When I invoke the servlet, ClassCastException happens, this is the error message: java.lang.ClassCastException: "com.snda.dw.moniter.LogQueryServlet cannot be to javax.servlet.Servlet" But I already make com.snda.dw.moniter.LogQueryServlet extends HttpServlet, it should can be cast to avax.servlet.Servlet.     With the latest Xcode and SDK 3.0 beta when you create a new iPhone project, Xcode creates an SDK 3.0 project. If I want to revert to SDK 2.2.1 after the project has been created, I need to change something in the generated source code files since some of the APIs have changed. Is there a simple way to specify at project creation time the SDK I want to use explicitly? Thank you in advance

    I am using the FileVersionInfo to retrieve the version of a .Net assembly. Then, I want to immediately delete the file. Unfortunately after I call GetVersionInfo, any attempt to delete the file results in an error “…in use by another process…” Is there another technique to determine the version that does not lock the file? Or, is it possible to ensure the lock is released after calling GetVersionInfo?   • While using the latest CKeditor (v.3.1), does anyone encounter a stray select box on the page where

    Hello, I'm using the CKEditor 3.1, and find that whereever there is a box on the page, the ckeditor causes a new empty select box to appear next to it (although it has not been applied to that specific element.) This seems to be a known issue : http://dev.fckeditor.net/ticket/4528 Has anyone been able to get around that? Is there any other good fckeditors you can suggest? Thanks!

    I have installed IE8 on my system. I usually test my application on this browser, but the problem arises when i got to know that the client is using IE7. Now how can i test my application on IE7? One possible solution is to have dual booting on my system. So on version of Windows i can have IE7 and on another i can have IE8. But i really don't want to use this solution. Another possible solution is to use PC Emulator [ Don't know what is this, just heard about these ]. Using which i can have multiple IE version simultaneously. Have you ever tried this solution? Please name any good FREE emulator. Please let me know if there is any other better solution.

  • SQL/Schema comparison and upgrade

    I have a simple situation. A large organisation is using several different versions of some (desktop) application and each version has it's own database structure. There are about 200 offices and each office will have it's own version, which can be one of 7 different ones. The company wants to upgrade all applications to the latest versions, which will be version 8. The problem is that they don't have a separate database for each version. Nor do they have a separate database for each office. They have one single database which is handled by a dedicated server, thus keeping things like management and backups easier. Every office has it's own database schema and within the schema there's the whole database structure for their specific application version. As a result, I'm dealing with 200 different schema's which need to be upgraded, each with 7 possible versions. Fortunately, every schema knows the proper version so checking the version isn't difficult. But my problem is that I need to create upgrade scripts which can upgrade from version 1 to version 2 to version 3 to etc... Basically, all schema's need to be bumped up one version until they're all version 8. Writing the code that will do this is no problem. the challenge is how to create the upgrade script from one version to the other? Preferably with some automated tool. I've examined RedGate's SQL Compare and Altova's DatabaseSpy but they're not practical. Altova is way too slow. RedGate requires too much processing afterwards, since the generated SQL Script still has a few errors and it refers to the schema name. Furthermore, the code needs to become part of a stored procedure and the code generated by RedGate doesn't really fit inside a single procedure. (Plus, it's doing too much transaction-handling, while I need everything within a single transaction. I have been considering using another SQL Comparison tool but it seems to me that my case is just too different from what standard tools can deliver. So I'm going to write my own comparison tool. To do this, I'll be using ADOX with Delphi to read the catalogues for every schema version in the database, then use this to write the SQL Statements that will need to upgrade these schema's to their next version. (Comparing 1 with 2, 2 with 3, 3 with 4, etc.) I'm not unfamiliar with generating SQL-Script-Generators so I don't expect too many problems. And I'll only be upgrading the table structures, not any of the other database objects. So, does anyone have some good tips and tricks to apply when doing this kind of comparisons? Things to be aware of? Practical tips to increase speed?

    Let's say I have a big spec file with 20 tests because I'm testing a large model and I had no other way of doing it : describe Blah it "should do X" do ... end it "should do Y" do ... end ... it "should do Z" do ... end end Running a single file is faster than running the whole test suite, but it's still pretty long. Is there a way to run the last one (ie the one at the end of the file, here "should do Z")? If this is not possible, is there a way to specify which test I want to run in my file ?

    Hello everyone :) I've very recently decided to teach myself c++ and win32 programming after learning vb.net, and i've got a very simple question: How can I determine what version of the Windows SDK is installed on my computer? I'm asking so I can install the latest version if it isn't installed allready, before i start playing around with c++. I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 SP1 as my IDE.   • Mercurial - How to stop tracking modified file but keep the first version in repository.

    I create the hg repository with my source tree. I want to keep the first version of some files such as Makefile in the repository and then hg don't see it modified even through I modified it. Original problem is that ./configure usually modifies the Makefile but I don't want the build files to committed in the repository. So I want to keep only first version of configure and Makefile in the repository so that everybody who clone my repository can run ./configure by themself and not bother the repository I tried hg remove or hg forget but those are stop tracking and also delete the files in the next revision of reporitory. .hgignore doesn't do the things too. I think of hg revert everytimes I run ./configure or make but it's not efficient way. Are there any better ways?

    How do i make my vb.net application (running on intranet) compatible with all the browsers. The problem is all the text boxes and drop downs size varies when I browse the application in different browsers. For example when I browse in Chrome all the drop downs size changes and textbox becomes small.In IE8 all the dropdowns , comboboxes and the size of the grids gets changed. The combobox in firefox and IE 7 or later gets small in size.Is there any solution for this. And also I would like to add , the application works perfectly with IE6 only.

  • TFS 2005 version control DLLs in the bin folder?

    I noticed that the DLLs in the bin folder for asp.net websites do not seem to be getting saved. When I goto a new computer and get latest I am missing the DLLs. What is the correct way to fix this ? Should I create a seperate folder to contains all DLLs ? And then can I somehow tell my bin references to goto that folder to get the DLLs?

    I am using Silverlight 4 and RIA services. When I try to insert into my database, I get the following error: "Submit operation failed validation. Please inspect Entity.ValidationErrors for each entity in EntitiesInError for more information." Upon inspecting the ValidationErrors, I see: "The Version field is required." Isn't the Version field updated and maintained by the framework? If so, why is it null? If not, how am I supposed to set it?

Please pay attenetion that I'm not asking about the Scala version that is used to build my project (it is the 2.8.1 as you can see), but I rather want to make sbt use MyProject with Scala 2.8.1. Apparently sbt uses it's own scala version to work with project definition (MyProject here) which is different than one it uses to actually build the project! or perhaps I'm missing something ... ?

The problem is that if I use the following code, it doesn't compile in Windows Mobile: string currentDirectory = System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(System.Windows.Forms.Application.ExecutablePath); And if I use this code, I receive something like: file:\C:\xxx string currentDirectory = System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(System.Windows.Forms.Application.ExecutablePath); Although, I need to get the root drive, and this code doesn't compile in Windows Mobile: String rootPath = Path.GetPathRoot(Environment.SystemDirectory); Does anyone know how to get the current directory of the application and the root path for any windows version, even mobile's?
